Yol

- Yol can manipulate darkness and shadows as though they were a substance, like a "dark bender" of sorts. This can include making existing darkness even darker to hinder vision, congealing it into mass that he can use to restrain prey, and manipulating it into unusual shapes that do not obey the contours otherwise set by light around him. This also means he can control other shadows and creatures of darkness like an extension of himself even if they already have some form of sentience, though being a shadow himself, the reverse can also hold true of Yol too.

- Being a shadow himself, Yol can phase into other shadows incorporeally, stealthily sliding in amongst them or hitching a ride on the ones that can move. This means he can slip in and out of many places unnoticed under the cover of darkness.

- Although another creature's body will still process him in the event that he is caught, Yol can't be fully digested per se. A typical digestive tract treats him as exclusively fat once liquified, and stuffs him into the padding around the predator's belly as such. Yol will usually escape the predator's body as soon as it gets dark, leaving no evidence he was ever inside, though it does still take some time for him to shape himself back into a recognizable form.

- Yol's digestive system is quite a bit different in of itself to most normal creatures. All matter within his body is compacted tighter than should be physically possible, resulting in his stomach being physically bigger on the inside than out. This has a limited area of effect within him, and the further from his centre that prey push, the closer to normal size they appear. Once prey are melted into a putty-like goo, they are squeezed wholesale into Yol's tummy fats, blending unrecognizably with the prey already within until they are just one mind within the hive mind with no will of their own. After that, the prey's mass is compacted even further until they are practically microscopic, forming the illusion of complete digestion.

- All prey processed by Yol are considered "partially" absorbed. Small chunks of their memory, skills and talents are made available to him relatively at random - for example, giving him the ability to speak english in broken and inconsistent forms. Immediately after digesting an individual, Yol can perform a temporary full absorbtion, granting him a strong resemblance of their personality, talents, dying his fur colours to resemble them and in some cases even granting him their special powers. Yol can hold them in this merging for as long as he desires, but the moment he lets go or if he never seizes the opportunity in the first place, they're absorbed into his tummy fats and can never be recovered again.

- Yol's stomach is capable of manipulating matter as well as melting it, making him a walking alchemy station of sorts. He can change substances into other substances, creatures into other creatures and just generally manipulate sentience as he sees fit. As a result to this, Yol is virtually immune to chemical concoctions of any kind - even if he couldn't figure out an antidote, he is more than capable of just turning it into harmless water within him.

- As one could guess, Yol is especially weak to light. He doesn't outright vanish or evaporate under direct sunlight, but being exposed to ordinary light for more than a few seconds at a time completely negates all of his special powers and weakens him, essentially making him an ordinary if odd-looking wolf.

- Yol's body is also significantly softer than it appears, typically at a licorice-like consistency at his very firmest. When weakened or tired, that consistency loosens even further, holding any shape given to him in the process for quite some time. He can be moulded by hand like play-dough to change his shape for days or weeks, but Yol will do this on his own if locked away inside a predator for long enough because his predator's shadow is all he can mimic.
