-Magic: A spellcaster focusing on the school of illusion, with a smattering of valuable utility spells, hexes, defenses and signature blue flames called “Frostfire” that cause cold temperatures instead of heat, Samantha is well versed in the arcane arts, but by no means an archmage. She is competent in combat situations and thinks well on her feet, and her illusions can be difficult to pierce.

Samantha is a paranoid, cynical, hard-bitten woman who has seen rape, torture and horrors the likes of which most could not even imagine. She has seen the death of her father and learned the fate of her mother. She has fallen into the heart of corruption and been driven mad, to the point of becoming a true demon herself, and somehow has managed to emerge from this, break out of the cage of madness like a moth emerging from a cocoon and slough off her former self to seek a new life. The skittish girl of years ago is gone, and what remains is a core mixed between cynicism, penance and bitterness, wrapped in a dark, dry wit. Her sense of humor would make an executioner or mortician blush, called up from the grave she's visited so often.

In escaping from the soul of the demon Abrienda, Samantha has gained a fraction of what might be called 'salvation.' She has little care for the hereafter and less love for anything of a spiritual nature, other than her own pragmatic studies of magic. All that she wants is to survive and to be left in peace, as a rule. So, she'll be fucked if she's going to allow any tom-dick-and-harry to just fuck around with her. There is a long, laundry list of individuals that Samantha wants nothing to do with, and who if put in a corner by them she would seek to cause them irrevocable harm. There is still some generosity in her spirit, but it is tempered by years of hard living. With her freedom in hand, she protects those few for whom she cares, such as her lover Tasha, who she would still yield that she barely understands.

She is emotionally mature, to an extent, but there are serious chinks in the armor of her emotional maturity. The woman still has a possessive streak a mile long, and enough paranoia to fuel twelve conspiracy theories. Her cynicism has reached toxic levels, and it's debatable if she's really all that psychologically healthy at all. Still, she soldiers on, deeply aware of the price of the forces that she toys with on a regular basis to keep herself free and safe.

Her Ethics are generally those of 'non-malevolence.' So long as someone does not seek to harm her, she usually does not wish to harm them. She has a live and let live attitude towards those who are not after her or someone she likes, and does not stick her neck into situations where she feels no connection. She rarely judges most personal choices outside of commenting on the practical wisdom of them, having long ago determined that no two people will have the same perspective on the matter, and most over-arching systems are questionable at best. If, however, motivated enough, she will push aside ethics entirely, should there be something she feels that she needs enough or a loved one in danger.

Born the daughter of Irish immigrant Naomi Grey and the demonic lord Zamalhazek, otherwise known as Valefar, Duke of Thieves, Samantha lived an isolated life alone in the hinterlands of West Virginia. On her 19th birthday, her mother was brutally murdered by her father as she was forced to flee into the dark, her mother's protection guiding her to safety. She lived, attempting to protect herself from her demonic nature and her father's depridations and desires, only to learn that he implanted seeds of magical evil inside of her during her dreams the night of her mother's death. Hoping to harvest them later, he resurrected her over and over again, seeking to corrupt and drive her slowly mad.

The Seeds, as her trail of corruption continued.
1) "Despair" Rinka - gained 12/02/06 – The first and one of the worst experiences Samantha ever had was with Rinka, whose body was inhabited by someone close to her at the time. She saw first hand the control others such as Kailindrea could exert upon people, and unable to protect her she began to feel hopless and unable to defend herself or others.
2) "Gluttony" Gabrielle - gained 12/23/06 - 12/30/06 – Gabrielle warped Samantha's mind using her powers, causing her to go into a ravenous, gluttonous period. 19 victims, lost to time, were consumed by her before the last, a cute, but very dangerous little furball named Tenkezuu -Perma-.)
3) "Lust" Tasha - gained 4/24/07 Early Morning - Motel – Caught up in the heat of the moment, Samantha was consumed with lust and went more than a little overboard with Tasha.
4) "Desperation" Llehnis - gained 3/5/07 and 4/26-27/07 – Desperate to protect herself after Llehnis' torture, she sought out numerous victims to appease the creature, despondency suffusing her every act.
5) "Pride" Mijun - gained 6/30/07 – Mijun's essence was permanently devoured and her soul converted into the most potent of Itsuka's soul shards using the sorcerer's tome while in mid-air. Samantha thought it was an act of self-preservation, but her darkness was growing deeper after Llehnis' torture. -Perma-
6) "Wrath" SeruOmen - gained 6/30/07 -In rage after his actions against Tasha, she charged after him to punish the pyromancer, leaving her lover helpless at the hands of a wrath demon.
7) "Sloth" Xi - gained 7/01/07 - 07/08/07. Caught by the demon Xi, she was trapped inside of her womb for almost a week straight, succumbing to a soul-numbing cloud of ennui and just wanting to rest.
8) "Avarice" Alice_Meadows - 07/01/07. Alice was so beautiful. The darker and possessive nature finally broke her with temptation and she turned her into a porcelain doll to keep for herself.
9) "Envy" Itsuka - 07/21/07. Her fascination with Itsuka's ancient tome led Samantha to acquire the life-force of several (one permanently), to empower her own energies. She devoured the essence of many to empower the book, seeking to overwhelm her father, even destroying the soul of Lei Fang (DOA_girls -Perma-) Ultimately, the tome was stolen away and used against her by CarleneSethers, and as she resurrected from being crushed her father came to harvest her soul, only to learn a terrifying truth. His daughter's power and Envy had risen to terrifying levels.

His plan was successful, far too successful, and on July 21, 2007, the last seed exploded forth with power and Samantha 'died,' being reborn as the demoness Abrienda. She slew her father, devouring he and her brother Jael'Turak in the process, rising as a lieutenant of the beastly Geryon in hell, an agent on earth. It seemed the once well-intentioned girl was gone for good.

For nearly 2 years, it did seem that 'Samantha' had truly become Abrienda, or that the essence of the demonic queen that was born from the demonic seeds overwhelmed and re-created the woman in its image. She conquered a valley in the Delta_Prysm, using feng shui and 5 aspects of herself (Animositas, Avaritia, Diffido, Redundo, Superbia) to represent the sins less strongly represented within her nature, claiming Lust and Envy for herself.

Rebelling against Geryon, Abrienda invoked dark rituals and claimed nigh divine authority over the Nega Inval. On that land, within The_Hut, she was almost unassailable and started to carve her own personal hell to imprison souls for her amusement, dragging Tasha along for the ride as her lover in a truly warped hate/love relationship filled with possessiveness. But, as with all things, pride came with a heavy price, one of a lack of vision and foresight.

In January of 2009, Terra_Branford caused a fluctuation in the demoness Abrienda's essence with her devouring while filled with 'holy' energies. The influx of pure and divine force interacted with Abrienda badly, revealing that the demon was herself a spirit who had taken over and subverted Samantha's nature as the seeds grew in power. The 'real' Samantha awoke, and the two began to share a soul and body, the young woman seeking a way to cure her hopeless state and becoming identified most prominently with Diffido, her own personal castigator.

8-20/21-10: Running afoul of Daidohji's experiments, Samantha was captured and about to be tormented heavily. Seeing an opportunity and wanting to protect her lover from harm at the hands of one of the woman's agents, she devoured the second to last of Tenkezuu's species, denying the woman access to its power, but guaranteeing an unpleasant demise at the time. -Perma-

The power of the un-sages, however, began to change Samantha in a real way that even Abrienda could not predict, in ways that almost nobody in the Delta Prysm could have estimated. Fate was twisting as the last vestiges of a race intrinsically tied to fortune were becoming part of her. She grew in her ability to defy Abrienda and fashioned for herself a homunculus body, one that would allow her to dwell outside of the Nega Inval without Abrienda being aware. Though they shared a soul, they no longer shared a body.

3-7 & 4-11-11: Tasha, once again attempting to regain control over the complicated and twisted relationship she had with the two demons, found herself in possession of the last of Tenkezuu's race. Unable to control the creature, however, it charged at Samantha when she followed Tasha to investigate her plans. The results led to the final eradication of the species -Perma-, and a subsequent increase in Samantha's own powers over her dual body. While not able to fully separate, she began to believe that she might be able.

Abrienda, meanwhile, was blissfully unaware of the wheels of fate building potential within Samantha. She viewed her as a trapped girl, persistently held at bay by Diffido's wails. All the while, the demoness did not notice that that particular aspect was growing ever more silent by the month.

Meanwhile, Samantha studied and looked over the magics of countless texts and tomes, hunting for a way to either reclaim her soul, or to find a new one, without resorting to destroying another life as she had been forced with Tenkezuu. Tasha followed Samantha, determining that, of the two, their relationship was the most 'real' and the one she truly felt for, despite Abrienda's ability to hold sway over her at times.

4-13/14-13: In a confrontation with her lover Tasha over the others' willful attempts to both protect them and exert control over the complicated dual relationship the fighter has with Abrienda and Samantha, Samantha found traces of Ambika's essence on the girl Moe. Flying into a rage at the creature's involvement and the implication of the fel magics of Itsuka that Moe used, Samantha consumed the girl and trapped Tasha within her womb. Shortly afterwards, she turned the magics Moe could not control against Ambika and, at least for now absorbed her into her being.

With Ambika interred inside of her, she further separated herself from the essence of Abrienda. Diffido fell almost entirely silent, and a dalliance with her daughter, the void kitsune Mecuria, caused the demoness to give birth to the soul contractor Tanran in June 2013, who subsumed the essence of Avaritia, becoming an incarnation of greed out of her control. The seeds of Abrienda's power weakening had begun to unfold...

5-22-13: Samantha, leaving the Nega Inval behind as best she could, took ship and met Lya_Veiler. The two didn't exactly hit it off perfectly, but the former cultist decided she was going to attach herself to Samantha's journeys as the demon hunted a way to break herself free, possibly the two finding aid in their own quests from each other. Their first meeting, though, went predictably ... erotic, as the two found out what happens when two people with magics related to sex get into a small, confined space alone.

The journey proved mostly fruitless for Samantha, but it got her out of the area, until she re-united with Tasha on landfall to the Delta Prysm once again. She traveled for a long year, during which her lover took great risks in body modification, in an effort to try and emulate the power of the demoness who held sway over her, to try and match Samantha in magic along with physically.

In October of 2014, when they were re-united, Samantha and Tasha repeatedly encountered threats from unexpected foes. Bounty-hunters with advanced weaponry sought them out, hired by Purna of Delpry_Goods to forcibly re-gain her body mods or payment for services rendered, were attacking them over and over again. As they did so, increasing numbers of magical threats targeted Samantha over the presence of Ambika, trapped inside of her still to that day.

One of the primary confrontations came in late 2014, when Jurri, who sought Samantha out and ultimately fell once and for all before her. Though Samantha did not finish her off, she left her mutilated frame where it could be found one day soon by Abrienda. She turned her growing irritation upon the next assailant to take them on.

Near the new year, Drannis came for Samantha. Sister to Mijun, her sole goal in the middle of all of these confrontations was to end the killer of her sister. Samantha barely managed to overwhelm her, but in knowing who she was and why she hated her, could not bring herself to kill her even though she could not allow her to go free for fear of the danger she represented to Tasha. She entrapped her within her large intestine, magically protecting her from death until she could find something better to do about her.

Drannis was subsequently forgotten while Samantha finally addressed the bounty-hunter attacks that kept assailing she and her lover. Going to the city of Ne-On, she tracked down and confronted Purna. After a series of heated exchanges, she finally forcibly subdued the woman, tormenting her for the foolish past mistakes she'd made in working with Daidohji and being stubborn about taking any attempt to repay the debt that stood from Tasha. Though Purna didn't die, the words she gave as she finally called off the hit led Samantha to seek out one of the other shop keepers in the city, the witch Lysbeth.

Lysbeth (Delpry_Goods) revealed the value of Drannis being inside of Samantha. Though Sam was soulless, Drannis' soul could be 'expanded' so long as it was 'laundered' through a psychic and spiritual act binding it to the body she inhabited. Lysbeth performed the former, faking a soul living normally in the body while the magically empowered pimp "Boss Perkins" (Delpry_Goods) bound her soul to her body in forcing Samantha to serve as a prostitute for nearly the next full year.

While Samantha served, Tanran further weakened Abrienda's power, giving birth in January 2015 to Shahnaz by her mother Mercuria. The incestuous birth claimed the power of Superbia, creating a demonic kitsune as wicked as she was proud, further breaking down the authority that the increasingly lazy Abrienda had over her realm...

Only in January of 2016 , when Tasha was finally able to kill off the last of her pursuers still seeking the hefty reward that had once been on her head, did she track down and rescue Samantha. She bought the woman's contract from Boss Perkins and fled the city of Ne-On, taking an overland journey for the next month and a half as she followed hints and allegations she'd picked up on in her searches for the cambion.

These rumors led her to a region known as the Nega, a city blasted into a nothing, without life, without magic and without hope. Only a very few intensely dangerous entities existed within. One of these, Cuebi the Contractor (Delpry_Goods) worked in a similar business to that of Tanran, granting wishes at the cost of one's soul. When Samantha made the deal, however, the contract could not be fulfilled properly, the false soul of Drannis not being a fee that he could claim and the girl being without a soul. His 'punishment' was to grant her a soul of her own, a false and necromantically created essence that once and for all freed her as her own person, separate from Abrienda, but that also marked her as unable to traffic with such beings ever again.

Finally, she took Drannis' soul back and released her in March of 2016, unsure quite how to deal with her after such a long imprisonment. Both enemy and a woman she owed her life to, Samantha was almost as confused as Drannis was. But it did not matter. She was free now, and could live her own life while Abrienda went her own way into corruption and depravity...

And in the Nega_Inval, Diffido simply ceased to exist. Hope had won.

Pred/Prey Status: Samantha is about 20/80 Pred/Prey, and generally I prefer that one of two things be applicable if she is pred: Either she is starving and/or desperate, or she feels that her life is threatened and responds accordingly to the threat, choosing predation as a way to retaliate. Most days, I prefer to be prey, or to interact in storyline with or without carnivorous scenes. If I am looking for prey, I will approach you.

On Kinks: I am fairly widely open, but I have various personal preferences, and my mood varies. Ask, and I will tell you if I am in the mood for it.

On Willingness: I usually don't play with willing people, especially as Samantha, unless dark seduction is involved. Don't ask unless you know me well, and in case you have trouble with what "well" entails, multiple years are involved usually.

On Permavore: It happened in her past. Don't expect it to happen in her future, now that she has a new lease on life.

On Relationships: Rare. Associations and interactions are always possible, even to 'acquaintances' or friends, but deeper relationships take time, development and, above all, my interest in seeing them progress beyond the basic. Don't bank on this, but it is not impossible. However, just a note, I don't do adoption, especially by unbirth, ever. Do not ask.

I can occasionally be a bit surly, but I try not to. Don't mind the rough edges. I don't generally bite, but here are a few helpful suggestions:

-You do not owe me, nor do I owe you, a Conversation, Roleplaying Scene or Friendship
We are here to seek out an RP scene, and for some of us, we're not really here to chat generally about our lives, make friends or the like. Don't feel you need to chat with me, and don't feel I should with you. Don't feel I owe you an RP, and I won't feel that you owe me one. Sometimes, my schedule aligns with my mood, and a great scene happens. Sometimes, I wait 2 years for a chance for a scene to happen. Sometimes, it just never pans out. And that's life. Don't get pushy, and I will do my best not to be pushy in turn.

If you feel I'm being pushy, please tell me.

My preferences won't always suit yours. Yours won't suit me. Don't feel you 'need' to change your preferences just to get a scene with me. I won't be changing mine, or my current mood just to get one with you. I will also never feel shame for the types of scenes I do here, so don't try to make me feel it. We are all civil creatures. Keep it civil. If I am in a public RP you don't want to see, just mute me and my partner for the night. Simple as that, problem solved.

-Lastly, on the subject of Permavore:
This is largely in Samantha's past, though Abrienda still does it. Part of her story includes the horror that characters have died and no amount of magic has brought them back to life. Deal with it. This is the shared story that my RP partner and myself have wanted to play out. Do not ever let me hear word one of you harassing myself or the partner about this. I do not do this with players that don't want it, ever, and will always reverse it on request. Yes, I'm aware of what a few players did in the past. I'm not them, and this practice has been around since 2006, when the chat began. Deal.
