The Netherworld Inn.
A generic name for a not-so-generic place...
The Netherworld Inn, from the outside, seems to be nothing more than a traditional Japanese hot springs resort tucked away in an isolated spot in a beautiful mountain range... a place one might stay for a week over summer break to unwind and get away from the problems the world throws at you.
That's not that far off, either... save for the fact that it's the -Netherworld- inn, meaning that both staff and visitors are usually demons. And it somehow exists in both the Netherworld and the human world... at the same time... weird.
The building itself, as said before, resembles a Japanese hot springs resort. The structure is three stories tall, and branches out from the main entryway.
Going straight back takes you to both the hot springs (coed bathing) and the rooms... ten on the first and second floors, and eight on the third floor. The first and second floors have two suites a piece... the third floor has one suite. The first floor also holds the staff rooms. Most rooms are designed for a maximum of two people.
Going to the left from the main entryway takes you to the area where the guests have their meals... from here, one can go to the kitchen, or back into the entry area. The kitchen is off limits~
Going to the right from the main entryway takes you to the large game room. Designed to hold and amuse fifty people, all sorts of games are placed about on the tatami mats~
The rooms themselves are fairly luxurious... though you need to pay a hundred yen an hour to use the televisions, and you better be used to sleeping on futons~ You get your own little kitchen area, a couch to lounge on, a bathroom with a large tub, a porch (not over the hotsprings area, you pervert~)... no internet access, though. ^^ Sorry~
The rooms are lined up along semicircular hallways... eight to twelve on each floor, with stairs at either end of the hallway. Suites are located to either side of the center. Set into that little semicircle is the hotspring... a huge, steamy pool of healing, relaxing goodness with enough scenery to make one forget anything that might be worrying them.
On the second floor, there's a smaller stairway that leads to the lounge above the hotsprings (which are enclosed... it's cold in the mountains, after all). This room has couches and cushions, a huge television, a drink bar, karaoke facilities... and, thanks to Eititi, a dimensional gate linked to Kamitame's bakery! Snacks anytime~
Out back, connected through a scenic breezeway to both the first and second floors, is the annex, which wraps around the back of the inn. With six extra rooms and two suites, the annex offers slightly smaller living quarters in exchange for a luxurious public bathing area (which is often frequented by the others, of course) and a private rec room, as well as a public kitchen where guests can try their hands at cooking. The annex building is also home to a huge patio that allows the residents to observe the beauty of nature (or fireworks, if it's that time of year). Other common activities here include summer table tennis competitions.
Between guests and (minimal... only three people!) staff, this small facility has plenty of residents in it at the moment! And most of them are girls! Ooh la la~
Feel free to come in! The facility accepts yen as well as hell... after all, anyone is welcome, not just demons. The exchange rate is equal, but it's so much easier to accept foreign money.
Oh, just in case? The staff all have their own rooms... one attached to the kitchen, two attached to the lower hallway at either end marked S1 and S2.

Oinari-san - Owner and Greeter
Oinari is the owner of the Netherworld Inn. She's in control of everything that goes on in her facility at all times, and she does her fair share of work despite her position. Aside from greeting guests at the door, she also helps to serve meals, entertains in the game room, maintains the finances, and checks on guests if they require help.
She seems a little cold and distant at times, and she can be quite strict. She's very pleased by friendly guests, and very put off by guests that leave messy rooms and damage her property. Therefore, her mood can be said to be influenced by those around her... more than others, really, considering what she has to put up with.
Syarii - Cleaning, Room Assistance
Sweet. Happy. Cheery. Bouncy. Syarii is all of these things and more as she hops around the inn, cleaning up messes and helping any guest who calls upon her. It's been said that even when mistreated, she never frowns and never holds a grudge. As long as the person who mistreats her learns a lesson, at least...
She's very easy to get along with, however. Just be sure to say hello to her if you see her bouncing past~

Orotityan - Resident Chef
A bit of an odd bird, the naga Orotityan rarely leaves the Inn's kitchen. She's usually in there preparing meals, snacks, drinks... to the point where she's even got a bed and a bathroom in there! She only comes out after dinner, once dishes are done, to socialize. She's very quiet and reserved most of the time... she loves cooking more than people, and it takes a special person to get her to open up.
Compliment her on her food. She'll thank you for it. ^^

Bekoime - Room 1-1
Bekoime (Beck-oi-mei) is the near-resident hard drinking boozer girl. And since she's a demon, that's saying a lot... it takes quite a bit of strong sake to make a demon tipsy.
Loud, raucous and cheerful, she prefers the ping pong tables and arm wrestling other guests. You can always count on her for some entertainment, though it may be more than you bargained for~
Also, watch out for that hammer. Bekoime called it the Hentaismasher. It's got a trigger for a reason.
Byakko - Room 1-3
Byakko is a childish, silly, playful little ball of energy. Unfortunately (or fortunately, if you think that way) she comes from a feral demon family, and therefore runs around naked. Pouncing everything in sight.
Byakko is a large fan of energetic games... but she hates losing. Not that she does very often. She's the best one at tag and hide-and-seek. Can you beat her? And what if you do... ?
Usie - Room 1-4
Usie (Oo-see-ay) is likely the nicest, sweetest girl out of any listed here. This plump sweetheart is always helping... doing dishes for Oroti in the kitchen, helping Syarii clean rooms, and generally keeping everything she can find tidy despite not being paid or asked to do so.
And if she is asked to help with something, she rarely says no!
But, Usie has a strangely erotic side... she enjoys using her softness and weight on people, and will often shyly ask for this as payment for her services...

Mei - Room 1-6
Mei is a quiet girl... shy and sweet, she spends most of her time reading and watching television away from the other patrons. She's a little too meek for physical gaming, and a little too uncoordinated for video games. She does love anime, though.
You can usually find her in her room, or in a corner of the game room reading a thick novel. But approach cautiously, lest you spook the poor dear.
Miruko - Room 1-9
Miruko is... well... Miruko is the provocative naughty girl on the scene. She teases everything in her line of sight with her figure, flashing private bits all over the place...
But, cool your jets, there. Just because she flaunts it doesn't mean you automatically get it. She's a big girl, and she has big desires. If you approach with more than friendship in mind, be prepared to meet her needs.
Potiko - Room 2-2
Potiko is the resident geek girl. And by geek, we mean otaku. Potiko spends all of her time playing video games, whether it's the arcade machines in the game room or the myriad systems she has parked in her room. She brought her own TV, too. Bit of a cheater.
Little Potiko is friendly enough, and she ALWAYS responds to a game challenge. The other girls have given up. What about you? Will you be the one to dethrone her? FYI, she loves fighting games~
Usiyo - Room 2-5
Usiyo is... well, she's a little slow. A little ditzy. A little airheaded. But oh-so sweet... she'd never do anything to hurt anyone ever. At least, she'd never do it knowingly...
She does eat a lot. In fact, she spends most of her time nibbling pocky and mochi as she wanders about. She enjoys anime, and collecting little figures. Plushies especially~ Give her a stuffie or a snack and she'll gladly hang out with you. For a while~
Harumi - Room 2-6
Harumi the kitty is a little clumsy. Well, very clumsy. She doesn't have anywhere near the grace a catgirl should have.
She never gets hurt, however... Harumi has this odd tendency to land on soft things. If there's a pillow, she'll land on it. But, usually, it ends up being another person... which leads to comedic anime-ish situations.

Kyasii - Room 2-7
Yahoo~! Miruko's cousin just came back from overseas, and she looks and sounds the part... with her cute lil' Kansai accent and her cowgirl attitude, she's gotta be in control in any situation. If she's not, she pouts until she is. Or, she walks away.
She tries to be friendly... all the time. To everyone. No matter what. She wants to be the most popular amongst her peers. And with you~
Phacia - Room 2-9
Phacia's a priestess who usually has her own place, but she stays at the inn from time to time. She's a bit... well, cursed, so approach at your own risk~!
Eititi - Room 2-10
Eititi is dangerous to be around. Eititi does science, and science is scary. You never know what this girl might pull out... from explosives to giant robots to pervert-repelling traps, she's usually too busy holed up in her room to worry about the others... which is why everyone else is curious as to why she even bothered to show up at a resort. She's obviously not relaxed!
If technology is your thing, though, she's your girl. Just make sure you don't cross that line between acquaintance and experiment~
Shiina - Room Unknown
Now here's an oddity. A tigergirl that doesn't seem to have a room! She's quite the sultry little mystery... wonder where she hails from?
All guests love the hot springs. ^^ They often take one bath in the morning, and one at night. It's a good place to find them as long as you behave.
Rooms start at two thousand yen a night. If you want meals, it's another five hundred. Feel free to inquire.
