"It ain't all sunshine and roses around here, kid."

An underground criminal organization rooted deep within the heart of the Oasah region. People from every walk of life have gathered here-- some willingly, some not, all typically in pursuit of their own ends. Many things can cause someone's fate to become ensnared in this web of deceit and treachery; while many of those who pledge loyalty to the mob are as wicked as one might expect, others have more complicated motivations behind their shady choice of occupation. Only one thing is certain among the lot of them: they may not all necessarily be terrifying in and of themselves, but as a collective, the Mafia is not to be trifled with. Those who attempt to unravel it at its source will inevitably find themselves trapped and silenced through manipulation, oppression, and blackmail, and escaping from such a woeful predicament is far, far easier said than done. Indeed, some of the Mafia's own members are kept under the Don's thumb through the use of such tactics, ensuring their continued service under penalty of death... or worse.

Aethius : The Don, whose raw power and charisma earned him his leadership. However, many of his subordinates fear him; whatever compassion he had in years past has dwidled in the face of loss, leaving him cold and full of apathy, even to those within his organization.

Misuki : The Don's adoptive daughter. Her soft and gentle appearance, while not entirely misleading, does little to suggest how unhinged her traumatic past has left her. She delights in using her cute looks to her advantage, luring her targets to an icy demise.

Voxel : The resident "interrogator", to phrase it nicely. Getting handed over to him pretty much guarantees a bad time, though it's not like he revels in it or anything; he's just hopelessly addicted to drugs and tortures people in exchange for getting his fix.

Razna : A low-level grunt that nobody likes. He works for the mob in his big brother's stead, since said brother messed up and got another member killed during a mission. Miserable, aggressive, mouthy, and dirt-poor, he hates his job with a passion.

Warrington : A scout who provides the mafia with information and intelligence. Raised by the Don since he was orphaned at a young age, he exhibits great loyalty to their cause. Often seen flirting and toying with the other members when he isn't out in the field.

Coralynn : An extraordinarily dangerous assassin. Able to petrify flesh and steal souls with nothing but a touch, she is terrifyingly effective at what she does. She knows it, too, and liberally uses her powers of intimidation as leverage to get whatever she wants.

Dearest : An abomination from a bygone era who serves as the mob's executioner. Cursed with a crippling deformity by her botched revival, the years she's endured have left her tired and nihilistic. Nevertheless, she does her best to focus on life's small pleasures.

◇ Associates //

Uruzi : An 'accomplice' of sorts, she serves as Flamberge City's resident hero and protector. Behind the scenes, however, she's not quite so heroic; she cooperates with the mafia in exchange for publicity and staged victories, turning a blind eye to their crimes.

Shizuku : Warrington's ward, who he sometimes drags along as an assistant on his scouting missions despite her lack of interest. Cold and withdrawn, she holds no personal stake in the mob's affairs, remaining distant to everyone but her caretaker.

Carilla : Her mother, a former mafia member whom the Don loved and considered a part of his family, was killed while on a mission with Razna's older brother. As a result, she considers the mafia and all who fall under its banner to be her sworn enemies.

Hagalaz : Aethius' little sister, his only living relative by blood. Goes by "Gala". While he sent her away to boarding school for her own safety, she is rebellious by nature and intensely admires her brother-- traits that compel her to regularly sneak out and visit him.
