Back story
Sunset Shimmer.

She used to be a student, the personal student of Princess Celestia herself.

It was a good life, a rich, rewarding life. But she wanted more. Power, magic, control. But Celestia wouldn't provide it.

So, she left. She packed her things and dived into a hidden secret, a portal to another world, thinking it would be easy to subdue.
Only, there was a slight hitch in the plan.

The world was simple yes, being a confusing, bipedal, teenage version of the world she had come from. It would have been easy to enslave...had she any magic. For it seemed, that universe held no magic what so ever.

So she waited. She plotted. Sunset bullied and Sunset teased, driving others against each other. When the moment was right, she returned to Equestria, stealing the crown from the element of magic, Twilight Sparkle.

Alas, despite her efforts, the grand scheme to use its magic didn't go off as planned.

And this is where things get interesting. In one reality, Sunset Shimmer, in her demonic form, was blasted by the elements. Evil was purged from her, and she was reduced to a sniveling, begging human.

This is not that reality.

While the elements did purge Sunset of her demonic form, they did not wipe the evil from her heart. Instead, they opted to 'contain' her, in a sense, ripping open a portal and flinging her inside.

And so now, she finds herself in the Nexus. Stuck, as a pathetic human, with no means to cast magic.

But don't worry, dear reader. She's planning and plotting. She'll be back, don't you worry. Even if she has to eat everyone in this park.

One telescope.
A vial of a magicka potion, granted by Kayla_Silenthoof. Only a sip is needed to wield magic for a few minutes. Grants her magic when in her human form.
A changeling crown, gained via adventure with Limelight. Doesn't really...do anything. It well it /does/ mark her as a changeling queen when she wears it, but that's all.
A small, purple unicorn's horn, taken from the remains of Twilight_Sparkles before she reformed.

Events so far

Came across Limelight. The pony had an offer for her that she couldn't refuse. Adventure awaits! [ENDED] She 's had quite an adventure, bringing a little crown back as a momento.

While in the look out for magical items in the park, the poor girl's anger got the better of her when dealing with Elizaveta_Inga. The kind guardian didn't digest her or crush her, but she did detain her for her own good.

Back in the park, this time during a brief spell of winter, Shimmer found her luck hadn't changed much. Running into a rather dense and grabby girl out in the cold, her attempts to keep her personal space merely revealed that the girl as a rather large changeling in disguise. A giant who didn't mind having a Shimmer snack, despite what her husband, Shade_Giver might say.

In her quest to find magical items, she stumbled upon the lair of the mighty Hiarith. Who knows what fate awaits her? [UPDATE] She gained her Equine form back! Woo.

Following a stroke of luck, Shimmer stumbled upon Twilight_Sparkles leaving the Nexus after a visit. Some quick thinking allowed her to follow her back to an Equestria. Hopefully she'll be able to find /something/ to power her magicka here. [UPDATE]: She did! And it was delicious.

Recently embarked on an epic quest to steal a war machine from under Chrysalis's nose. It failed, horrifically. It seems MechaChrysalis doesn't take well to thieves...or 'fuel', as she calls them.

She's really unlucky with robots. An attempt to ensnare Scarlett_Remedy as her robotic minion went rather...wrong. The dog didn't take well to intimidation tactics.

Came across Princess_Twilight in the forest. After a few bouts of words, and a few more bouts of magic and strength, the Princess called it a draw, Shimmer gaining her magical staff. She also suggested a way for Shimmer to break her curse; finding the full set of Elements from the nexus.

Came across Astral_Magi when trying to 'liberate' some tomes from her. Following a just the /hint/ of upset between the two, the alicorn has decided to look into Shimmer's curse and how it could be broken. [Update]: Due to a generous 'donation' of some Twilight's magic, Shimmer has now unlocked her 'anthro' form.

Deciding to put her new powers to the test, Shimmer used poor Celestial_Mare as a toy and a snack. Alas, Celestia's sister wasn't as easy to bring down, and poor Shimmer found out that she's still not unbeatable. Tuition that cost her a slice of her magic.

Had a nice meal out of herself in Equestrian_Realm. Alas, she wasn't able to utterly remove herself, due to that universe's Twilight getting in the way...and eating her too.

Had another wonderful visit to Equestrian_Realm. Crashed a picnic, did end up getting rather chubby...absorbing a few ponies will do that too you. Even more so when you covert their souls into magicka...

Her hair is far longer and healthier now. Thanks to the body donation made by Ryo

Magic
Toggle-able Passives:
Like fire, hellfire: Sunset leaves a trail of flame as she walks, the intensity of it dependent on her mood. (Only in demon form)
The Shimmer in your eyes: Sunset glows slightly, shimmering in the light. Useful if you're ever trying to appear 'divine'.
Shimmer in the sun: Sunset is coated in a layer of magic. Unlike the above, it doesn't shine and its only really noticeable when low level magic is used against her, or attempted mind control spells.

Basic spells
-Levitation: Sunset can move small items and objects with ease.
-Teleport: Sunset can teleport to anywhere she can visualize or see, as long as she's been there in the last week or so.
-Flame: Conjures up a small burst of flame. Useful for cauterizing wounds or creating fire for warmth
-Shield: Conjures up a small, orange shield. Around the size of a hoplite shield and somewhat strong. Still only a basic version though.
-Healing: Basic health spell. Area touched by hands is healed.

Advanced spells
-Advanced Levitation: Sunset is able to move much larger and heavier objects, though it does make her a little out of breath, depending on the size of the object
-Firewall: Like flame, albeit on a grander scale and mainly for defense. Creates a barrier of flames.
-Plant growth: Rapidly grows a selected plant
-Shimmer teleport: Leaves an image of Shimmer behind to fool enemies as she teleports away.

Extreme spells
-Flame director: Flames, magical or real, are ripped forth from their current position and flung at her foes. Amount of fire/if its magical or not effects how much this tires. her.
