Back Story
Born in Ponyville Shadegiver was a happy enough colt, his days spent clopping around the town, playing with friends or helping out on the store his parents owned. That was till the day his cutie mark appeared upon his flank, a massive billowing cloud. At first Shadegiver was disheartened, he wasn’t a Pegasus, he was an earth pony, and how could he have anything to do with the sky. However, as the next day dawned he found himself over a foot taller in height, his surprise only matched by that of his parents.
Embarrassed and afraid of his change Shadegiver hid himself away as best he could, till his head and back were shoved against the ceiling of his bedroom. His parents worried for him sent for the princess, Celestia arriving to assure them that all was well, with the colt, it was only his cutie-mark, and what he was meant to be in the future. Still it was in his friends that he found the courage to show himself to the town now as large as a house, something that drew a few more eyes than he was use to.
And it didn’t stop there, day after day he continued to grow larger. Till soon he was so large he had to now watch where he stepped his feet larger enough to smash a pony to nothing as he moved through town, the feeling of it…intoxicating.
Thanks to the magic of the princess’s he never wanted for food, a simple growth spell enough to keep him feed, and besides, he was providing a valuable service now, giving shade the those tiny ponies below him as well as helping the other earth ponies in tending the fields, and standing as the guard against anything that could harm his home. Well that and every now and then giving them a little white shower of their own to enjoy. He now walks the land, between equestria and Nexus, his massive form giving him the opportunity to show his own special kind of friendship to the people that he meets.

Personality
Tall dark and handsome…well giant blue and handsome but let’s not split hairs. Shadegiver started as a quiet voiced colt, his quite personality leading to him being more a follower over a leader.
That was till his growth truly began to change. With everyone looking up to him, he’s gotten use to the idea of hiding little, of himself, leading to him being more honest than most would be expecting, his warm personality mixed with his new found confidence lead him to be a bit of a flirt.
Still every now and then with his size he makes a mistake, and has to go to one of the princess's to ask them to help him fix things up. Though he's noticed none of the three beauties seem to mind when he's on his hand and knees asking them for help, help they grant with a bit of incentive. Still Shade would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy it.
