Cocoa Rabbit's History:
The year is 32749 BC, many creatures roam the lands of the planet ranging from the smallest of micros that can easily fit into ones hand, to the tallest of beings that are giant in size. Most at this point in time however, are of the feral kind, aka not intelligent, of course there are some exceptions but even those beings have very limited knowledge. With most being of the prey nature with a ratio of 99.5 (prey) to 0.5 (pred), as the predators of this time are prolific. Many prey creatures can be eaten for just one meal or even snack, so for life to thrive there would need to be a lot of prey to feed these predators.
One of these exceptions would be a race of anthro rabbits, who would have very basic clothing and very crued weapons to defend themselves with. They would be large in number thanks to their breeding habits, after all you should know the saying. Anyway, there was one specific herd of rabbits that roamed for and wide to find the perfect to settle down. A few members of this herd was lost to predators, both young and old, but eventually the rabbits found themselves in an expansive rainforest. However, in this rainforest while it is of the cold varity something that would later prove to help them survive, there are more predators here.
The Rabbits where forced to do anything in their power to survive the night, nevermind further beyond, so they split into two groups. One group which was slightly bigger in number, would dig under ground and make homes there. With the other group seeming to get the short straw would climb the trees and make homes there. But it would be the smaller and later group that would survive in the end. As the group that went under ground would be eaten by predators that can dig or would wait for them to come out for food. It would be the tree climbers that would have the luck by not only getting away from the predators but to also find these trees provide food they really need.
Skip a head roughly 34,000 years and the small group of bunnies have grown to a city work of bunnies, with them climbing higher and higher making as many homes as they could. With time they got better and better at building on, with and inside of the trees they now call home. Managing to even connect each tree they live on to each other, via bridges. But that's not the only thing that has changed in time, as they have become more intelligent, made better clothes and weapons of course. However, the biggest change would be the fact they don't have bodies of flesh, blood and bones anymore. But instead of chocolate for the flesh, harder chocolate for bones, and either caramel or of that nature for blood.
How did this happen? Well the cocoa bean found in the tree the rabbits made home in, is simply the biggest and most valuable cocoa bean in the world. With a single bean being 3 feet tall and weight just as much as an average adult human. The bean being harder than most metals and gets stronger in cold temperatures however has a weakness to heat. If made into chocolate, the chocolate itself is the smoothest, deepest, lightest, most delcious chocolate in the world. But you know what they too much for you is bad, if a race eats the chocolate as main source of food for a few generations or a being for a few centuries. They would slowly turn into the very same chocolate itself, which is impossible to cure, unless one goes back into time to stop themselves from eating the chocolate.
The chocolate itself is also the healthiest chocolate as there is NO sugar added to it, well healthiest in terms of sugar in take anyway. It IS however, extremely fattening, so much so one would have to eat say 10 humans to gain the same weight of eating one anthro bun. So unless one wants to gain some weight, they might want to not eat and digest these chocolate buns. However, every chocolate bun has a 'core'. A core that is a small piece of the cocoa bean they were born from, with every core located in the bun's heart and every child they produce gets a little from each parent. With core's being able to regrow back to normal size after giving piece to thier child/(ren).
The core is also what stores their very being, their soul if you will, and is the way they can come back from say being eaten. However, there is a catch, they can't reform themselves and need help by placing their core into either chocolate (fast reform) or milk (slow reform), and also the fact while the core can't be digested. It can however be chewed, crushed and etc, rather easily. So that's why this race of chocolate bunnies are still timmid thanks to thier core's being chewed, crushed and etc within predator's teeth when being eaten that no bunny has come back to the tribe after being eaten by a predator. Hence why they are scared of predators rather than welcome it to drive them away.
Bombon's Story:
There is however, another way a chocolate rabbit can come to life, one such way that is heavily frowned upon, just as much as a bun killing one of their own. This is where our little bun comes in. She unlike most of her kind was created rather than born and even then not out of love but rather morbid curiousity. Many years ago, roughly between 20-30 years ago there was two cocoa rabbits that where respected by the community. In thanks to being famous (least in Coco) inventors, who came up with inventions that helped to maintain the city, protect the city from predators better, and make inventions that better the everday lives of the cocoa buns. Sadly the laws don't always stop crimes from low end to the highest and most forbidden of crimes.
It is known to the coco buns that they have cores and can be reformed, but has to be within certain paramotors. However, what isn't as known is that core's have to have a certain percentage of the original cocoa bean to reform otherwise it's not possible, or so would one think. Which the city and the two famous inventors found out, well techincally the two would never know, as they where murdered in cold blood or chocolate in their case. As they bodies where cut into small pieces, their hearts ripped open, and their cores damaged. The one who murdered them was also famour but for the wrong reasons, being a serial killer. The killer knew about the cores but as he looked down at the damaged cores, an idea popped into his head and with a morbib, evil smile he picked up the two pieces along with the pieces of the two inventors and placed them in a bowel under a pan of boiling hot water.
On that night life was created from two lives that was taken, and in a scene that could only be described from a horror scene, Bombon was created and let out a scream of pain. What happened next was a chain reaction; rising like a slime. bombon fell out of the bowl, which also tipped thanks to her. And in turn the boiling hot water which landed on the killer's legs and feet. What came next was the killer screaming as his lower half melted, but all this screaming eventually got attention from outside and in ran the athourites. Needless to say the killer was exiled to be never be seen again, while Bombon was allowed to live in the city boundries. Though the public could never get over the fact she was created, nevermind from a killer and from the two inventors, but also wasn't born the normal way.
Bombon was shunned from the day she was created, the way she was created having not be known before hand was outlawed so it wouldn't happen again or so they say. Somehow Bombon surivied and probably out of disguting pity was she allowed to go to school, given food every now and then, and some other things. But Bombon normally had to rummage through bins to get fed, steal to get clothes or items of need. Her situation sadly never improved and to this day, lives under the city which is technically within the city boarder, having to steal, rummage through bins and so on just to live.
