Brief Dullahan’s History:
The Big Bang, some say it’s what started the universe. Which keeps on growing as does the number of living organisms, be it from the tiniest of bacteria and the like too intelligent beings or big creatures like the dinosaurs. With the intelligent beings would come imagination, and when they encounter something new, myths are born until facts can be pinned to the new thing.
However, there is one planet where myths can and do become a reality. Be it the blood drinking vampires, to the bone-crushing werewolves. Yes on this planet earth or as some call it the nexus, myths are all but real. Though the number and rate at which the mythical creatures are born varies. With vampires, werewolf’s and creatures like that, it’s more of an infection, disease or curse depending on one’s view. However creatures like Cyclops, giants, ogres and so on, that depends on birth rate among other things.
Though the creature we will be focusing on is called Dullahan. Said to be a mythical monster or creature that is known to have its head separated from its body. One of the popular myths that come with the said creature is that Dullahan’s are basically the grim reaper of the mythical community. Guiding people’s souls to the next stage after death, in some cases, it’s said they hunt those that are supposed to be dead.
When in fact that myth first came about thanks to the very first Dullahan back in BC. Where the said Dullahan was a soldier of some far of royalty and was the royal executioner. It didn’t help to dispel the myth when the next few Dullahans were of the solider/mercenaries/ etc of that type of person. However, it’s because of this reason that Dullahans tended to live a lonely life with not many wanting to take the chance of being in their presence in case they were killed. Which in turns means Dullahan’s never really got the chance to thrive.
Fast forward a few hundred years to 1469 AD, this would be the year where the last Dullahan would perish. However, this Dullahan was an infamous knight that would battle anyone to save the people. However with his armor and riding a horse, and is the being behind the headless horseman. He would later die of disease thanks to low hygiene in those days. Not a single Dullahan would be born for the next few centuries with them starting to fade into just being a myth.
Jasmine’s Story Brief:
Jasmine was the first Dullahan to be born in a long time, grew up on a farm helping her mother Rosa as her father left them. Loved reading and school and was a very smart child, so when came of age moved out to the city to go to College then University. Whilst being a Librarian to help pay for the courses, once done traveled the world and got stranded on a big isolted from the world, big Island. Was trained by another Dullahan in swordsmenship, martial arts and her Dullahan nature. Got rescued, started a business around her nature, took Assasin jobs to help pay for virtually shutdown farm, then got dream job as an Archaeologist.
Jasmine’s Story Detailed:
The year is 1999, January 30th and the next Dullahan would be born. Which caused a frenzy of activity either from the medical, press or public community. This Dullahan would be the child of two human farmers who carried a suppressed Dullahan gene. These two would be called Rosa Dullan and Wayne Dullan with their daughter being called Jasmine. They would be the owners of a mighty big farm that grows many things ranging from wheat, apples, potatoes, carrots and lettuce. But also has a live stock consisting of pigs, cows, horses and chickens. Of course they would have farm hands to help but only being farmers they wouldn’t have too much in ways of money.
But back with Jasmine, being new to the modern day medical community, they for one wouldn’t know exactly what would affect her and not, or how her body works. This, of course, made them want to study Jasmine so they could ‘help her in the future’. Thankfully Rosa wouldn’t allow such things to be on Jasmine. Sadly Wayne couldn’t deal with it all, the press, the doctors, the bills, the stress and the main reason being to him his ‘daughter’ was a freak of nature. So he left his wife to deal with the offspring she just bared and the farm he would also leave.
Thankfully for Jasmine more Dullahan’s would be born after her, taking the burden from the medical community off her. There are 6 others that the world knows about but that’s a story for another time. There would be a few ups and downs for Rosa, having a Dullahan child had extra things to worry about as well as keeping the farm a float, but Jasmine was still a happy, curious baby/toddler. However, her mother couldn't shield her from everything for forever as the day would come when Jasmine would have to go to school. More to the point Secondary school, with primary school going by with not many problems other than stares. Secondary, however, was a different story, being around 12 on her first day she would get a glimpse of what the next few years would be like. At this age, Jasmine was more than just a bit shorter than others in both thanks to having her head in her hands and her frame not having a growth spurt yet. While girls her age are around 5 foot she herself is only 4'1, meaning the top of her neck is just below the shoulders of the average girl her age. She is more of the height of an 8-year-old than a 12.
So being that much shorter, complete with the severed head thing, a herm but also part of a poor farm family which is fatherless, she quickly became a target for the first bullies of her school life, thanks to this she wouldn't know how to deal with it. It was only her first day when a small group surrounded her, 'guided' her into the boy's restroom, took her clothes, all of them along with her head. Leaving her naked body in the stall tied up. Meanwhile, her head would be put into the girl's restroom but into one of the toilet's as the bullies keep trying to flush her head down. Thankfully it doesn't work but more thankfully the lunch break ends soon meaning the bullies leave her where she is. It wasn't for an hour or so till the janitor found her body laying on the floor, it took some convincing but a sniffling Jasmine managed to get the janitor to not tell her mom what had happened as she didn't want her mom to worry.
sadly it would only get worse for Jasmine, some even ranging from her head simply being stolen, eaten, played with to it being stuffed into things like a garbage bin, other bullies/victims bodies (be it oral, anal or etc) and once even the school horses pucker. Needless to say, those two days weren't pleasant for the Dullahan as her head got stuck in there and was only taken out in thanks for the horse owner getting worried as they thought the horse was constipated or something. But the last one was thankfully the last straw for Rosa as she moved her daughter to another school, but sued the old school for letting such things happen to Jasmine. As she did nearly die from dehydration in the horse, till this day Jasmine is scared of horses. Though it doesn’t help she has to deal with horses thanks to living on a farm that breeds horses either to sell the horses on as horses or as meat.
But thankfully it gets better from Jasmine from this point on as she is now 14 and is in middle of the secondary school stage. And the new school being much nice from the school itself to the teachers and students. Jasmine managing to actually make some close friends, which she loves with all her heart. But that's not all as the Dullahan around this period of her life would have her first kiss, but would also get a few 'love letters' or 'secret admirers'. Nothing happened with the people who wrote those letters, notes or etc, as Jasmine wasn't all that interested in them but she did try to put each and everyone one of them down as gently as possible. While the other students where noticing each other, Jasmine just wasn't at that stage yet, which only made her more popular in that regard. Thanks to the 'can't have' makes one only want it more.
But it is thanks to those close friends she made that her mental state improved and so did her grades, with the Dullahan passing secondary school with top grades for the whole school, and even the county, while not the very top. She was in the top 4, as such getting into a college was the next stage and pretty easy to get into thanks to her grades. Plus the college’s themselves offering to pay the course fee’s if she went to their colleges, so it wouldn’t put a strain on the farm to pay it.
What she decided to do was History & Archaeology with it being her dream to become an Archaeologist like Lara Croft. Anyway the first two years would be a breeze with Jasmine to no surprise getting top marks. Thankfully this college is like her second secondary school in which she can and does make friends there too, it is now the start of her final year of college as Jasmine is starting to think of university. Though for now, she is focusing on the said year along with her part-time job as a Librarian as to help bring in some money. Though her mother bought her a house in the small town where she works so she doesn't have to keep traveling the miles and miles of distance just to get to work. Of course Jasmine vowed to pay her mother back when she can, and also goes back home in the summer to help on the farm for those few weeks she is off from college.
Being raised how she was raised by Rosa, Jasmine understood the meaning of money and how important it is to start early, job wise. That way she is less likely to be struggling to find jobs once she leaves college or uni. Plus it also helps she has a love of books, maybe not as much as her love for artifacts but its still up there. Unfortunately, because of the work that is required from her course, her job not to mention her responsibilities at the farm that Jasmine didn't have much going for her relationship wise. Being 19 years old Jasmine has still yet to have her first boyfriend or girlfriend, she isn't picky which. Not to mention to have her first time 'rolling in the hay' as they say. But she dreams of the day where her special partner can hold her head in a loving embrace, as she loses her flower to them.
Eventually came the day that Jasmine graduated from college, and immediately went into University doing the same but more advanced stuff. But this time only taking up a 2 year course rather than a 3 year one, this meant by the age of 21 Jasmine would also graduate from University with top marks, even seemingly being more knowledgable than the teachers themselves. Rosa was so proud the day she graduated, and came over to watch it happen and of course be there for the celebrations. However, sadly it seemed no company in that area where looking to take on any full timers, part timers or even apprentices, which upset Jasmine sure but she was determined to succeed in achiving her dream. But of course bills still needed to be paid, for the first few months Jasmine was fine money wise, having saved up but the saving would only last so long.
However, there was something she wanted to know, something her mother couldn't give the answers to. Her dullahan nature, and the other dullahan's for that matter as she was yet to meet one. Getting no answers just staying around and twiddling her thumbs, Jasmine decided to embark on an adventure, namely find out about her nature, her gifts, her weaknesses and her kin. So packing everything up, saying her goodbyes for now, she left though not before getting someone to rent her home away from home so then she can have a steady income whilst she travels the world. The first half a year went as to be expected, no results, nothing. While she did travel to many countries, she didn't know where the other Dullahan's lived, their names or any information, and that information was confidental so she couldn't exactly just look it up.
It wasn't until she was about to give up and head on home did something happen, the boat she was travling on was attacked by pirates. Thankfully Jasmine didn't get captured or seen by them as she may have fallen off the boat when the pirate ship rammed her ship. Clutching her head to her body, she only lasted so long against the sea waves before the waves got tougher and tougher, and simply overpowered her with ease. And of course her engery decreasing didn't help either, but it was only going to get worse as she dropped her head. Body and head being seperated as the waves pushed them apart, Jasmine almost drowned that day, it was a few days later that her body washed up on a beach. Her head not being so luckly as Jasmine got to watch, feel and see her head being eaten then digested by a pelcan. Her body wasn't found till the next morning by some beach goers, which gave them quiet the shock finding a body without the head, and the neck smoking black smoke.
Even more when the body started to move on it's own and seemingly react to them. But after they ran of screaming, Jasmine just about managed to drag herself away from the scene before any cops showed up looking for a moving headless body. Using her black smoke from her neck, Jasmine was able to see and hear, just not eat, talk and smell. Least not the normal way of eating, she had to get creative for that. Anyway, after dragging herself along the floor, did she find that she dragged herself to the one place she needed to be, she just didn't know it at the time. Collapsing from exhaustion, along with two broken ribs, bruised lung, cracked bones, and other aches & pains from the drifting out to sea. Fast forward a week where Jasmine would finally wake up in a bed and not the floor, bandaged and cleaned up. Turns out she was found by one of the other Dullahans, but they didn't speak a word of many Langauges Jamsine knows. So while Jasmine recovered from her ordeal, did she and the other dullahan teach each other thier language's.
It took a few months for Jasmine to get a decent grasp on the new language, however with no money, virtually no boats coming to and from the island she was stranded on. And not having the skills to build a raft that would surive a sea exploration, she would be stranded on the island for the seeable future. While the island was too big, it wasn't too small either, it was roughly the same size as Wales (In the UK) with its own hills, moutains and valleys. It would be here that Jasmine would learn the way of the sword, spending years under the guidance of the few retired swordsmen on the island that came to this place for peace and quiet. By the end of the training Jasmine could and would hold her own against these retired masters. It was at this point jasmine was 25, but the young Dullahan was determined to make it back home, regardless of the risk.
So with the help of her masters, did she and them make a boat out of wood, steel and the like. And while it would carry her safely across say a big river or something like that, the sea is another story. Saying her goodbyes whilst trying to not shed any tears, Jasmine would set out to sea one more time in the hope this time it would run smmothly. It almost worked too, as the ship hit some rocks after sailing into shallow waters and sinking to the bottom of the sea. However, this time a ship was nearby and saw her boat go down, with Jasmine herself being rescued. And while the ship that saved her was going to a different country, the chances of her getting home greatly increased to the point it only took a week before she finally arrived. Jasmine & Rosa cried, hugged, talked, and everything else until they collapsed from exhausted two days later.
Jasmine spent the full week after such just spending time with her mother, and of course taking baths, showers and the like as it has been some time since had anything like them. But once the week was over she didn't waste any time, knowing what she can do now, she set up a small buisness baised around her natural talents. Showing others their very souls, cutting out unwanted parts or letting them see so they can better themselves. But this was just a stepping stone, not the job she wanted fully, it was nice but not the dream job. Sadly during her time of absence the farm had taking it's toll and was on the verge of being shutdown for good, and while Rosa had accepted the farm's fate, Jasmine couldn't and wouldn't let her chilhood home, her real home be taken from her or her mother. One thing lead to another, and somehow Jasmine had accpeted her first Assasin job.
It was a middle age guy who used to be a up and coming football player in highschool, but he was never the nice type being a bully to anyone weaker and less awesome than himself. But a serious injury later and his future career was ended, and he become bitter. His bullying ways never ended and carried on into his mid 40's, thats when his victims had enough and hired a hit on him. Being her first job, Jasmine went all out, going to local pub dressed nicely. Letting him flirt with her, going with him to his run down home, getting him on the bed then proceeding to tie him to it, muzzle him and let him spend all his energy trying to break free. Once he was tired, exhausted she went onto the next stage of the plan. which was showing him she wasn't human as he thought (he hating anything thats not human), and proceeded to ahove him up her butt kicking and screaming. With her target trapped and no way of escaping his fate, she went back to her clients with the still struggling prey of hers for proof and pay. It took a few days to digest him.
Skip ahead a year and Jasmine is now 26, her buisness is booming, she had a few more assasin jobs but only takes the bad people, evil doers and etc. Making sure to research all targets before taking the job and then taking out the target. Sadly no opportunities came about for her to get her dream job but that was a blessing in disguise. As things change, people change, even dreams change. One day a client came on by, wanting some lady out of the picture. Jasmine researched the potential target and thought this lady was the worst type. What she didn't know the info she got was intentionally put out there for Jasmine. Jasmine followed the lady to her room and was going to strike but got a surprise when a squad burst in and captured her. Jasmine was told what happened, the leaked info, who the lady really is, and etc. The lady turned out to be a special agent working for the governments of the world. She being told this whilst being tied up real good to point where she could move and was on her belly. She also didn't know one or two of the squad was looking at her butt thanks to the awkward position she was left in.
Jasmine thought this was it, she was going to jail, she'd never see her mother outside of prison and disappoint her, thankfully the Dullahan was put out if her misery before too many tears could be spilt. She was offered a deal, either work for them as they seen her skills, or go to jail to rot in there. It was a no brainer. Of course she be put under close surveillance, at least for few months till she can be trusted by the agency. Some of you might know this agency as M.O.N. Which stands for: Monster Ops Neutralization. It's a group of monster girls tasked to deal with beings, monsters humans or etc, that break the laws of the interspecies protection act. The group being led by the once target of Jasmine, known as Agent Smith. However Agent Smith is getting on in age for a field agent and is looking to see if Jasmine is cut to do her job, so would occasionally do the job of a cultural exchange Coordinator. Which means Jasmine is either taking out (only lethal if necessary) law breakers and taking them in. Or is assigning monsters to live with non-monster beings and if needed look after them herself. Jasmine is 27 by the time she starts working for M.O.N. And this is where the story Continues.......
