Mythical Monsters is a book which categorises and looks at different monsters containing summaries of their abilities and scale every monster in the book is categorized into five different power levels and entries in these categories will explain their abilities and skills.
Pathetic Class Monsters
Pathetic class monsters are not a threat to many people one could not do more than create a mild inconveniance for a village and often they only have one or two basic abilties. Hardly dangerous they might get lucky against a group of weak adventurers but couldn't stand alone against even completent ones. (A little stronger than regular people non-adventurers or combatants can fight them off most of the time)

Weak Class Monsters
Weak class monsters are slightly more dangerous often with a little bit of magic or strength bonuses they can be cunning and lay traps as well as co-ordinate. They are frequently vicious using speed and sudden attacks to overcome their weaknesses. (They are often stronger than non-combatants and the average village guard but couldn't defeat 5 regular guards alone)

Medium Class Monsters
The most typical form of monster and the most common. Strong and skilled medium class monsters can plague a village for months. They are strong enough to bring down guard posts and create distractions if villages aren't careful. While not powerful enough to assult a village alone a number of them can quickly become dangerous when they work together. (Often strong enough to defeat 10 unskilled fighters and an unprepared skilled adventurer might not be able to hurt them without knowing their weaknesses. But a party working together is more than enough to deal with one)

Deadly Class Monsters
A deadly class monster is very dangerous either because it is larger than normal monsters or it has magic at its disposal. Often regenerating and invulnerable to lots of damage types these monsters are strong enough to destroy small villages on their own and frequently have minions who they work with. (Strong enough to defeat any weak adventurer and even a party of them but can be dealth with by one or two very powerful adventurers or a full party of average ones.)

Epic Class Monster
Creatures of legend Epic class monsters are very very powerful often plaging entire regions able to destroy towns and even endanger cities with enough effort. They are serious threats that a determined medium party could maybe deal with if they have a weapon designed to do so. But most often a high level party is required to fight these monstrosities.
