Notes

Goopy dragoness, actually a swarm of nanobots around a small ball-shaped 'core'. Tends to prefer acting like a solid-ish being for the most part. Nanomachines, son.

Appearance

Height: Variable. Usually around the 6-8 range.
Weight: Variable. Changes too constantly to really keep track.
Coloration: Variable. Able to shift shape, color and other aspects.

Personality

Umbra, second oldest of the four sisters, acts... well lazy for lack of a better word. Due to her anatomy and how easy everything she could want tends to be, she doesn't really put in much effort. She can be anything she wants, whenever she wants, and she uses this to take a form she's relatively comfortable in and just watch as life goes on around her.

Abilities and powers

Nanobody - Core: Umbra is not actually a goopy slimy creature. Rather, she is entirely composed of microscopic robots all working in tandem around a small sphere about the size of a marble within. The core contains Umbra's 'brain' in the closest sense of the world, though she can reconstitute it should it be destroyed, though her higher processes and thinking will go inert until a new core is created.

Nanobody – Specifics: Umbra can alter her body's shape, volume, density at any point as long as she remains contiguous. Small bits of her that become separated retain whatever characteristics they had at the time until she touches them once again. Usually she's reluctant to leave bits of her mass behind without a reason, but can do so to create items for others or to alter other things that aren't her.

Nanobody – Vore: Umbra has unprecedented control over her own body. She can also use her body to take other people's bodies too. Though she generally keeps herself in a solid form with a surface that rather resembles skin, she can engulf or take people into herself from anywhere... Though she does have a soft spot for using to the same openings and tubes used by organic creatures while she's in an anthropomorphic shape. For digestion, she disassembles objects on a molecular level, leaving discernible remains when she wants, but is otherwise capable of using every bit of her 'food'. She can also on rarer occasions go full 'grey goo' on people, touching them and maintaining contact as she absorbs and 'digests' them directly, without even bothering to engulf her 'meal'.

Background

Space is without a doubt, big. Despite that, the chances of things bumping into each other are almost infinitely close to certain, given enough time. For example, a highly advanced spacecraft when rendered inoperable by a cosmic anomaly, will continue going in the same direction until it hits something like, say, this planet. Dropping the hypotheticals, that is exactly what happened about 15 years back, with a space ship with advanced mechanical and biological components crashing somewhere in the mountains, impacting and subsequently destroying a small lake and the surrounding area. Days later, they emerged. Four dragons that had somehow been created from the surviving pieces of the vessel.

The first was Citra_Nutrigen, nurturing and caring as one would expect from the ship's medical and life support systems. Next came Umbra_Biomorph, flowing out of the crater and comprised of the self-repairing nanomachines that formed the hull and stealth systems. Third was Petra_Laz, hot headed and brash, armed with advanced weaponry and augmented by the thrusters. And finally the flighty and fickle Hypara_Waymaker, literally popping into existence just as the hyperspace module's signature vanished. The four sisters stayed in those mountains for a few months, getting to know the world and themselves, but eventually all left to explore and experience the world in their own ways.
