Lunarian_Legacies
The pursuer of ideals, the lunarians are the heroes of the story
If not indeed being dragons, they all have some amount of dragon in their blood, this blood beckoning them to Aragea or Ryue, a planet/moon of dragons.
The only problem is leaving the planet they're currently on, trapped in a sealed alternate reality.
For that they need all 12 zodiac fragments, jewels that hold the souls of the five people and 7 of 8 animals who fought in a great war.
They'll make a bridge of light that will lead to the 13th zodiac fragment, the key to finally making their way home.

they live in and their society if you want a more in depth story based RP.
Sliders are on the character's pages.
There are two major Dragon Planets, the first is Aragea, a much more vibrant Earth since technlogy never got a chance to transform this Eden, magic instead dominating the world. There was the occasional war but they rarely lasted longer than a dragon year (to a human that's five year).
The other planet is Ryue essentially Aragea's Moon. While an outsider would call it bleak and it's people savages, the land has untold beauty with those who have the gift to live long enough, the dragons some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
Living in outer space, they feed off a Cosmic energy called aether and speak entirely by telepathy to counter the vacuum of space.
Because of this they can have any voice they desire, and are very good at speaking their minds.
The dragons here are usually various shades of white, black, and grey with their belly scales dictated by their breath type; for example a Moon dragon able to breath fire will have red belly scales.
___
The Lunarians as a tribe, are a sub species of Yueryu who learned how to harness the power of the moon and are extremely hard to kill beneath it's light. However their numbers are very few compared to more wide spread species of dragon, so to prevent inbreeding, on the 7th of every month they hold a festival in which a hoard of dragons travel to other realms and offer the inhabitants the chance to return to Ryue with them and become their mate.
-
The Lunarians are broken up into 5 distinct tribes based on the varying levels of light and darkness: The crescent moon, half moon, gibbous moon, full moon or "Hallowed" moon, and the New moon or "Hollow" moon.
Depending on when they are born they can be pitied admired, honored, respected, or despised.
___
As a whole all Yueryu have the ability to transform between their massive true dragon forms and a smaller anthro or feral form to blend into society; at the same time it went without saying it's a terrible idea to get one angry less you find yourself in the coils of a moon dragon and sliding down their long necks.
Moon dragons are usually nocturnal, becomming the most active in their respective moon phase. If you're lucky enough they hide in underground caves during the day reverting to their true selves; you can then blackmail them with the threat of revealing their true form, but that is implying they aren't genre savvy enough to simply eat you and keep their secret safe that way.
___
The five tribes
The Crescent moon tribe/Theurge
The Crescent moon lunarians are pitied among the tribes; little light and vast darkness, their life is bleak but not hopeless. They live within the craters walls of Ryue, one of the darker regions since light only shines down on them once a quarter of a year.
More often than not, members of the Crescent moon will try to leave their slums and interact with the other tribes. However there are a few who fail to hold onto their light and are banished to another realm or moved to the dark heart of the moon, among the Hollow moon tribe.
-
If they can hold onto their light long enough though, they will usually be graced by the Gibbous tribe, the more light filled tribe seeking a crescent moon to be their assistant as they journey out as adventurers.
For a Crescent moon lunarian to make it out of the slums by himself/herself, pretty much guarantees they will be hunted down by Galliards, actively wanting them to be their vallet and will be treated less as a pack mule and more like a proper ally.
___
Their strength is diversity and their virtue is hope, their weakness those is a hard time making long term decisions preferring immediate results, and their virtue is greed.
Their signature weapon is the Crescent moon spade.
Half Moon tribe/Philodox
Lunarians of the Half moon are respected among the other tribes, living along the celestial equator. Born half of light and half of darkness, the tribe is at war yet at peace with itself and others.
Their biology is effected by these circumstances, depending on which side is cloaked in shadow, that side becomes less active and is put on the defense; in contrast the other side becomes more active and destructive.
-
The Philodox are respected by the other tribes because they refuse to escalate the war by recruiting others, not even Crescent moon or New moon lunarians who treated as low class citizens and slaves respectively. It is an internal affair, an unstoppable force against an immovable object; the other tribes recognize this as the embodiment of harmony.
-
This harmony makes them great mitigators, listening to bother sides of the story before dispensing justice as they see fit; however its very rare a single Philodox can manage both black and white, so are paired with someone from the opposite side.
___
Their strength is honor and their virtue is diligence, their weakness is refusal of change and their vice is wrath.
Their weapons are the Ying mallet and the Yang mallet.
Gibbous moon tribe/ Galliard
If Theurge's are peasants, Philodox are the middle class, then Galliards are the upper class. Born mostly in mostly with a sliver of darkness in their heart, the Gibbous moon tribe lives on the vast tracks of land not occupied by the Philodox on the equator.
-
Galliards while living lavishly do much to temper their greed. Gilliards are usually scholars and researchers, their troves filled with a different kind of treasure. They love to keep books and scrolls in their possession, able to read a whole book usually within two days, one if they are completely invested. If not books they'll collect jewelry and enchanted jewels, items that require time and effort to be made and as such are more valuable.
this is also the quickest way to earn their favor, pour your heart and soul into a piece of jewelry and they will respect you as someone who enjoys the better things in life.
-
Having more power than most their blood simmers; in the darkness of space with a race that speaks using only their mind it's easy to get influenced by darker beings whispering in their ear. They struggle with Western stereotypes, to destroy villages and burn down forests, demanding virgin sacrifices and overall being a menace because they have the power to be.
-
To escape the noises in their head they venture out to other worlds, but the Full moon tribe outright forbids going alone under any circumstances. This is why Galliards venture into the Crescent moon slums to find someone they can drag along for the right.
Once the two have gotten Luna's (the queen of Ryue) blesssing, on the seventh of the month they are whisked away to wherever they desire, only having to report back once a dragon year.
___
Their strength is loyalty and their virtue is modesty, their weakness is an inability to settle for less and their vice is gluttony. Their signature weapon is the lotus dish in tandem with the bassalt dagger.
Full/Hallowed moon tribe/ Ahroun
The regular social hierarchy established there's only one greater and one worse than all. The greater is the royal lineage the Full moon/Hallowed moon tribe; seeming to appear and dissapear, they live on the celestial plane with the spirits of the constellations. Their ancestors were the pioneers , the dragons who struggled to adapt to a life without air and atmosphere; the full moon lunarians colonized Ryue so other dragons could thrive.
-
As such they make and regulate the rules, giving them to the Galliards to record and enforce as needed. Ahroun hear the maddening voices the loudest being the strongest of the lunarians. The best they can do for now is find a punching back for these chaotic desires. . . this is why the New moon lunarians are treated so horribly, imprisoned within the umbra/underground of the planet, hunted and experimented like lab rats. Another reason for this is because Luna forbids them to take part in major conflicts beyond wars, they are almost god-like in their power it wouldn't be fair was putting it mildly.
-
Individually though they ARE allowed to use their powers to assist in minor affairs, usually assisting newcomers from the Tanabata festival, teaching them how to feed off aether or if they're that dependant on air SWALLOWING the guests and secreting a special kind of stomach acid that sublimes after prolonged stagnation turning into an oxygen laden fog. Of course the complication of getting food or water usally sails over their head until it's too late.
-
Realizing how superior they are to the other races, when they do eat food it's only he highest quality,
an Ahroun will consider it an insult if you offer them fast food on a date or try to placate them with a non-virgin sacrifice If you can become an ally to one you will be lucky if you are held to high standards; otherwise you'll be considered a child to them and treated as such, kept around as a slave or a toy. If they are the latter, report to Queen as soon as you can; either they are just plain being jerks or they're on the verge of snapping one good deed too many/999+1 they'll restart at zero. A new moon lunarian with insane ammounts of power.
___
their strength is discipline and their virtue is chasity, but their weakness is a lack of empathy and their vice is pride. Their signature weapon is a dragon soul gem.
The New moon tribe/ Ragabash
After the Divine war, all the Yueryu were terrified of the darkness. When the moon was completely shrouded in darkness, it was a time of great omen; it was also the only other time the Ahround were let loose by Queen Luna to destroy any dragons who went insane without the light.
at the same time any dragons born during this time were regarded as serious omens of a new evil rising.
-
So they banished all of these dragons to the core of the moon, wrapped in eternal shadow, no way in or out unless the Ahroun made one. The life of a Ragabash is filled with insanity, the only ones sane are those who were crazy so long they became sane again from prolonged exposure.
-
The Ragabash are the slaves of the Lunarians, no freedom and regarded as filth. Before they were doomed to this life they rivaled the Full moon lunarians in savagery on the battlefield, they were the assassins in a time when Queen Luna's reign bordered on tyrannical, killing anyone who spoke out against their leader.
- While heartbroken, they accepted their banishment, eagerly awaiting the day they can all be set free; although it seems that day will only be when another Divine war breaks out.
-
However some Ahrouns pity these wretched souls and bring them out of the darkness as servants. Eternally grateful, the one thing no Lunarian cares to mention is those brought out of the light never became evil, gratitude of their salvation making them completely subservient and willing to follow any command given. . . ALL new moon lunarian's are like this though; an evil being can summon them and it will still have the same result.
____
Their strength is cunning their virtue is charity, their weakness is self pity, their vice is envy. Their signature weapon is the sickle and scythe.
~"moon shine down, shine down and embrace me with your love"~
