Companions

A profile for playing Doctor Who companions! Below is a list of characters I have opinions about playing. It is by no means exhaustive.
If you want someone not on this list, especially if it's a classic-series companion, please ask.

Zoe Heriot
A scientist from the far future of 2000 with incredible math abilities and a photographic memory, Zoe won't necessarily be thrilled to be shoved down another creature's throat, but she's more than capable of overcoming her terror in the name of scientific discovery.

December 12: Zoe competed in a Game_Show_, and won out against Hana_the_vaporeon, who was swallowed by a snake, and DragonSlayer Melinda Corbulo, who was tied up in a massive ball.
Leela of the Sevateem
A warrior woman from a primitive society on another world. Not simply unwilling, but one of the few who'll probably retaliate with nothing less than an attempt on your life. Armed with her knife, her Janis thorns, and (on occasion) a crossbow, anyone who wants to eat her is going to have to earn the privilege.

September 4: sssnaakke stalked Leela across a jungle planet. (unfinished)
Romana(s)
A Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey. Time Lords undergo a complete physical change when approaching death in a process called regeneration, hence there being two here. Better find some way to inhibit that if you want to eat her.
Resilient, clearheaded, and would far rather spend time thinking her way out of a jam than panicking about it and will just barely take the time to snark at her captors. It's easy to mistake this for a sort of passiveness, especially if nothing comes of it.

September 15: See "Roleplays Involving 2+ Companions".
Peri Brown
An ordinary Earth woman from 1983 whose questionable life choices and friendships over the course of the series make her come across as having something of a hidden masochistic streak. As such, I play her as willing, but unwilling to admit that she's willing.

September 15: See "Roleplays Involving 2+ Companions".

Martha Jones, M.D.
A physician from 2007. Not a hell of a lot to her, sadly.
Don't quite have a handle on her just yet, though I'm thinking I might make doe-eyed Doctor-companion a distinct persona from post-Doctor UNIT-agent. Both unwilling, but with the former with a sort of intellectual curiosity and the latter with a lethal kick to her.

September 5: Lily_Croaker lured Martha into an alleyway, abducted her, and planned to truss Martha up before swallowing her whole. (unfinished)
Donna Noble
A temp from 2008. Donna is definitely unwilling, loudly and violently so, and snarky to the bitter end. I'm having a bit of trouble getting her dialogue down but wouldn't mind some more practice.

August 27: Amos_LongTail "rescued" Donna from a fire and then dragged her off. (unfinished).
Amy Pond
Kissogram turned model turned novelist. Amy I'm finding I tend to play as unwilling, but also patient, level-headed (if snarky) and spending most of her time in peril attempting to out-think or evade her pred.

July 31: Power_Girl played an alternate-universe version of Madam Vastra, who took up residence in Amy's home, oven-roasted her (but not to death), and then ate her piece by piece.

August 2: Amethyst_Rose stalked Amy across a fauna-less planet, caught her unawares and brutally maimed her before eating her one bite at a time.

September 15: See "Roleplays Involving 2+ Companions".
Clara Oswald
A schoolteacher from 2013. Amy may be able to talk her way out of any situation, Clara is manipulative, and often tries to plant ideas in the pred's head and convince them they're getting what they want. Of course, this doesn't always work out.

December 21/22: The_Doctah played the Mistress, who abducts Clara out of a desire for friendship...and a little something extra. Will probably culminate with cooking. (unfinished)

September 15: Madame_Vastra played Commander Granthar, a military official with a grudge against the Doctor who chose to exact his revenge by using a machine to suck Romana, Peri, and Amy out of their time periods and into holding cells. His attempt to fry Romana caused her to regenerate, and she used the short-term invulnerability and energy-shooting powers this granted her to reverse the machine and send Peri and Amy home. Granthar took advantage of Romana's short-term regenerative abilities to acquire thousands of cuts of her meat before killing her for good via decapitation, and then fixed his machine to get Amy and Peri back. (unfinished)

Never/Dislike I'm fine with a pred that happens to be, like, 20ft high or something, but I'll likely not be in the mood for being shrunk.
