Madame_Vastra

The Silurians were a reptilian race of humanoids that ruled the Earth at the same time as the dinosaurs. Their technology was far advanced than ours is currently and they detected the incoming meteorite. Their entire species migrated under the surface of the Earth where they put themselves into cryogenic sleep to be awoken once the dust had settled. But the computers malfunctioned and the Silurians remain asleep under the surface of the Earth to this day, as the monkeys started to evolve and inherited the land above.

In the 1850s, a series of underground excavations were started to begin work on the London Underground system. In doing so, the humans inadvertently killed a whole colony of Silurians who were in sleep under the city. All except one. Vastra took her revenge and sought to kill the humans, before a travelling Time Lord known as 'The Doctor' convinced her that it was not the human's fault.

Seeing the error of her ways, Vastra decided to try and integrate herself into human society, using her vast intellect and scientific know-how to become a great detective. She uses her reptilian hunting skills to her advantage when hunting down criminals and it is ofte reported that she kills and devours the humans she is hunting. She is an adept warrior, her preferred weapon being a sword, but she also has a stinger set into her tongue that can paralyse her prey.

She admits that she is very fond of human flesh, most likely as it reminds her of hunting monkeys in the jungles of prehistoric Earth. She is especially fond of females. She isn't completely ruthless, however, and is in a relationship with a young woman she met in the Victorian era named Jenny.

She has often met up with her travelling friend, The Doctor, who has often taken her away in his spacetime capsule, the TARDIS, if he ever requires her services. This has allowed her to show up in many locations throughout time and space, and gives her more of a chance to try new and exotic meats...

As seen in the profile picture, she happily devoured Amy_Pond and enjoyed her succulent flesh greatly! She has her eye on devouring River_Song and Clara_Oswald next...
