Appearance As with any officer of the Interstellar Navy, Captain Besette tends to pride herself upon the upkeep of not only her uniform, but in addition the body which fills it. While Besette might not be hauling ropes all day alongside the crew, she does run herself through an exercise routine consisting of close combat drills alongside the usual push ups and array of callisthenics.

Her uniform however requires every bit as much attention as that she lavishes upon her body, for every push up and combat drill she’s spent twice the time polishing buttons and shining her boots. Even though it has become routine in the Interstellar Navy to have a rating perform such duties, Besette feels that it instils a sense of personal discipline which should be retained in even the highest ranking officers of the service.

Slung across the back of her uniform, tends to be seen a Wheelock-based laser musket with an integral bayonet. Alongside the usual ‘cigar-case’ stash of energy cells for her weapon stowed away in her jacket, is an additional laserlock pistol for emergencies. Although such weapons might seem garish and even antiquated at first glance, Besette has trained herself in the use of each as might be required.

Personality Some people, clearly those lacking in the learned knowledge acquired across even a smidgeon of a lifetime’s experience, would assume due to the fact she is carrying a weapon, that it might make her a privateer or worse, a pirate. Those swiftly find themselves rebuked should they utter such within her company.

This is because Besette has taken upon herself the mannerisms and character that comes with being a naval officer, in charge of the lives of an entire vessel filled with men and women. As such, neither will she take disrespect either to herself, her vessel or the Interstellar Navy.

She is a Captain after all.
