Yoshio

Background

This yoshi lived what could be considered an idyllic life on his island home, where the weather was usually pleasant and there was plenty of good food and good friends (and the occasional time where the two overlapped), though it still felt like maybe there could be more to life. He always enjoyed hearing tales about the outside world from visitors, and especially stories about the heroic exploits of a pair of plumbers (with the occasional help from a yoshi not unlike himself, he noted), and he couldn't help but feel a touch of inspiration! One day, he came to the decision to head out into the world and make a name for himself as an adventurer too!
Gathering up all the supplies he could, Yoshio got on a boat and set out for the world beyond, with the plan to sell his services to anyone in need as a hero for hire!

Of course, being a hero isn't as easy as he might have expected, as his go to solution to most problems is to eat whatever's causing it, and while effective for dealing with monsters that are terrorizing a town, it may be awkward having to explain to a kingdom that their kidnapped princess had been rescued, but may have accidentally ended up as yoshi fat while getting a ride home in his belly!
But still, Yoshio's heart is in the right place, even if he does tend to think with his stomach most of the time!
Some old habits are hard to break though, and Yoshio may sometimes gobble people up when he's feeling hungry, or just for fun, though he makes sure to let them out again... or at least bring them back, if his hunger gets the best of him! On the other hand, if he eats someone he considers a villain, he may decide that yoshi pudge is the best place to keep them locked away!

Description

Yoshio is a fairly normal-looking yoshi, standing at about 5'11" with somewhat anthro proportions. His color scheme is green with a white belly, with purple head crests.
He wears a sturdy pair of boots and a saddle on his back, which also serves as a backpack for him, strangely able to hold much more than would seem possible for its size!

Abilities

In addition to the long, sticky tongue and incredible stretchiness found in typical yoshis, there are some other abilites that are worth noting.

Egg Reformation / Encasement: It is not entirely clear whether the eggs produced by yoshis after eating something are the same ones laid for reproduction, though in Yoshio's case there are definite similarities! In the event that Yoshio digests someone, if their own reformation mechanism doesn't kick in, they may remain trapped as part of his body until he chooses to reform them. There is an egg sac located just below his stomach, where someone can end up either while they're reforming or if they're just squeezed into it from another part of the yoshi's body. Either way, they end up surrounded in slime that soon hardens into an eggshell around them, at which point Yoshio releases them.

A freshly laid egg containing someone is easy enough to break out of with a reasonable amount of effort, but if for some reason someone hasn't broken out after about an hour, the shell starts to harden considerably more while the trapped person starts to transform into a yoshi themselves, finding it much harder to break free while this is happening!
Fortunately, this change can be reversed if Yoshio eats and reforms them again, though the longer someone stays as a yoshi, the greater the chance that they will just reform as a yoshi again!

Egg Fusion: A stranger ability that Yoshio uses only occasionally. After two or more prey have been digested (not necessarily at the same time, they just can't have been released already), Yoshio may decide to reform them in the same egg, which results in the prey forming as one fused being, possibly having a mix of traits from each individual, or perhaps looking more like just one of them. Just as physical results may vary, it is not always certain what happens to the prey's minds in their new form. Their individual minds may end up simply sharing their body, and have to work out amongst themselves who gets to control it. Alternately, their minds may end up fusing together as well, with a mix of each person's personality traits!

Egg Division: An even more unusual and rarely used ability. Just as Yoshio can reform multiple people in one egg, so too can he produce multiple eggs from one prey, especially if they are fairly large! The resulting eggs may all contan identical versions of the original prey, but it's also possible that someone who is a mix of different species could end up producing eggs containing different versions of themselves as each individual species they were a mix of, or each version of someone to end up with a different aspect of their original personality being more prominent.
As reluctant as Yoshio is to use this ability, it does prove useful to separate someone who he had fused together back into the individual people they were made from!

Inventory

Yoshio carries what seems to be a limitless supply of various items that he can use on himself or others. Examples include:

• Super Mushroom: Grows someone to double their current size
• 1-Up Mushroom: Allows someone to revive / reform after dying if they were not already able to, once for each 1-Up mushroom eaten
• Mega Mushroom: Grows someone to ten times their current size!
• Mini Mushroom: Shrinks someone to one eighth of their current size
• Fire Flower: Allows someone to throw fireballs
• Blimp Fruit: Causes someone to inflate and float like a balloon upon consumption
• Hammer: A large, heavy sledgehammer
• Portable Warp Pipe: When placed on any surface, forms a passage leading to whatever destination the one who placed it had in mind, even if that destination is in another world!

Tempvore / Notable Meals

For those that request it, Yoshio can keep people as yoshi fat after digesting them, keeping them for a period discussed after the rp where it happens.

• Lemmy_Koopa: Yoshio stumbled upon Lemmy in the park, and decided to gobble up the surprisingly sweet little koopaling! Lemmy was released from his stay as yoshi pudge on 2/28/2018.
• Unknown_Player: After meeting each other and playing around for a while, Yoshio happily gulped down the eager and willing human and added him to the fat yoshi tum that he had been admiring~ Kept until 3/01/2018.
• Vakeneo: Yoshio came upon a rather large green dragon in the park, and ending up striking up a conversation with her, which proved pleasant enough, though when their conversation gave him the impression that she regularly devoured innocent people, the yoshi decided he'd take it upon himself to protect those people anyway he could! So, Yoshio convinced Vakeneo to let him show her a neat trick he could do with his tongue, which involved him stretching his tongue out long enough to actually tie the dragon up in it, and slowly dragged her into his very stretchy maw without her realizing what was happening, or at least not seeming to mind what was happening to her too much, when she did find out! Gulping down a dragon many times his size will no doubt leave the yoshi quite a bit pudgier for a while! (02/18/2018 - 03/21/2018)
• Kyubei: Yoshio and the kitsune snuggled for a while before he offered her a soft, warm place to stay for the night, which ended up entailing the vixen being stuffed up the yoshi's rump to settle within the warm, soft confines of his egg sac! While it is indeed a comfortable place, Kyubei may be stuck in there for a few days, and may end up stuck in an egg in the process!
• Astrid_Equinox: Yoshio caught the Purrloin rifling through his things while he was out camping one night, so he decided to have the little cat burglar as a late night snack, and woke up with a new layer of bellypudge! (03/11/2018 - 03/25/2018)
