Wynlai

In the delicate balance of varied cultures, it is difficult to define what is moral and what is not. Universal morals could continue to seem the same but have unique differences in the nuanced application of those morals.

Take killing, for example. Everyone with a rational mind can determine that killing is bad. Some of you might make exceptions for self-defense and other minor loopholes, but for the most part... It's bad.

... Unless you're from the A'lea race of jungle macros ( See Talea for more details ), and even more specifically, the Oona clan. It isn't to say these beings are wholly evil and slaughter everything in sight nor that aggressive as a clan. However, the stipulation being that they have no qualms about killing does tend to leave one uneasy as much as their size. This is a moral aspect that even other clans of A'lea tend to find rather unsettling. The absolute vacuum of moral standing to the issue of murder/killing other beings and how it has managed to not result in the wholesale slaughter of their own clan.

Traditionally, they kill only to feed. And it just so happens that everyone is considered food, even their own clan mates though that only seems acceptable when food has become rather scarce. To compound this fact of their social discipline, they have levels of inherant racism to their culture and those they deem less are the more sought after food source. Fellow A'lea? Pretty close to their clan in regards to only as a last resourt. For someone that isn't even hip height or below? Well.. Nice knowing you.

Now, this isn't to say that Wynlai goes around smashing villages and devouring everyone in sight. Again, the Oona clan is remarkably non-aggressive despite the expectations most have of the A'lea race. She reserves that behavior primarily for acts of desperation or... Payment.

Yeah. A mercenary clan of macros, defying the typical social isolationism of the A'lea and gradually starting to advance themselves by taking paid requests from the 'lesser folk' ( Read: You. ) to eliminate other human-sized villages or clear lands. This has served the Oona clan well in getting access to foreign concepts and sustainability through goods desired. It's amazing how much the little people are willing to pay in order to savagely attack their own kind. The Oona get to feed to their hear-.. Belly's content and has just helped the little ones further reduce their numbers. Never a good idea to have too many of the little buggers running about, thinking they own the place.

So that hopefully gives you the mentality of a typical Oona such as Wynlai. She's tremendously passive and patient save for two particular instances. Starvation and a mission. Beyond that, the Oona has proven to be a remarkibly 'civilized' albeit morally questionable clan of the A'lea. Capable of being socialized with ( as best as their TERRIBLE English/Spanish can be. ), traded with, and otherwise peacefully be around.

Go ahead, make friends with Wynlai! And just hope that she's never on a mission detrimental to your health...

And to those curious, yes. Wynlai is a 'male' of her race. There is a mighty oak hanging between those powerful thighs.

Wynlai is a big girl, but she can also be played as small as ten to fourteen feet tall to make her accessible to more 'normal' alts! Don't just be scared off by her size. :3
