tl;dr: was once an eevee belonging to an eager trainer whom she loved very much. they bonded and he told her how excited he was to evolve her into an Umbreon. To his chagrin, her love for him caused her to evolve into a sylveon. he was revolted that his cool companion would evolve into something so "frilly" and "lame." for reasons she still doesn't understand to this day, her beloved trainer looked at her with eyes filled with such hate and disgust... She couldn't help the way she looked. She couldn't stand the feeling that the human she'd grown up with looked at her the way he was looking at her.
he ended up attempting to drop her off in the PC, but in order to do that, he had to put her in a pokeball-- somewhere she'd never really had to be before. her panic kept her from staying. her upset also prevented him from being able to leave her behind at a pokemon centre. he was stuck with her, and at first she was glad for it. thankful that it meant that he could have time to get used to her new appearance.
but it wasn't what she thought. her trainer, after learning that he'd be saddled with this thing forever snapped. In his rage, he hit her until she saw stars-- until she couldn't see anymore. choked her until she could no longer cry out his name and beg him to stop.
until she no longer moved, no longer breathed... Until she no longer was. Then he buried her in a shallow grave.
She no longer remembers what her original name was; instead clinging to the last words she could remember her previous trainer called her: Wrong.
