Main setting for characters by Nefarious

The Legend of the Great Misfortune and Aurel's Beginning - Aurel, the hidden world created by the god of Chaos, Aure. Due to it's magical nature, it is impossible to reach Aurel by design, unless invited. However, it is quite possible to find it by accident. Formerly a modern world, much like the Earth of today, a great war erupted. The world had been occupied by only humans, however, through the use of science, humans created a new form of being based off of the old alchemical idea of the Homunculous. This new life form was put to use as the front line soldiers in this great war. But their creation had far reaching effects. The God of this world, Aure, had long sealed away the world's power of Mana, and those races that depended on it. When this new race, the Ceryon, was created, it had a ripple effect on the world, and this seal slowly but surely began to break.

These creatures, such as Elves, Dragons, Dwarves, Kitsune and many others, all agreed on one thing. They belived that humans were to blame for sealing them. The current great war would only escalate, the nations of the human world putting aside their differences to face this new threat, sending the Ceryon en masse to combat them. As if by a trick of fate however, these beings would soon start thinking for themselves, and figure out the use of magic. Led by the cunning sorceror, En, they would turn on the humans and rebel against them, whilst maintaining their war with the creatures of mana.

En was a cunning leader, if a devious one, and would use his charms to sway a young woman to his side. This young woman, her real name unknown, would turn on her fellow humans and use her unique talents to absorb and splice magic for En's cause, and along with En's other members of his command unit, known as the Fourteen Generals would score him many victories against the other two sides. With these victories under his belt, the sorceror En would begin developing his master plan. There was only one problem, he knew that the human woman he had swayed, whom had been a great boon to his cause, would never allow it.

The woman, known as Nefarious, the Betrayer among humans, and the Master Theif among the creatures of Mana would be invited to his chambers. In truth, he had used charm to sway her, convincing her that he cared for her, and she loved him feircely. He had two cups of tea prepared when she arrived, his own was of course fine, but hers was drugged with knockout drops. As her eyelids became heavy, and she saw his smile, she knew she had been betrayed. The broken hearted woman was loaded into a shuttle stolen from the Humans and the course was set for Aurel's Star. It was launched into space, and then En would begin his Operation Atlantis.

Operation Atlantis called for several submerged city ships, long under construction, to be built for his people alone, but that was not the only part of En's plan. En had created six strongly fortified locations through his victories in the wars, four along Aurel's equator, and one at each the north and south poles. At each base he left five thousand of his best ice proficient mages, surrounded and fortified by his very best soldiers and armaments. His plan, was to create a massive glacier at each point, spreading it across the surface of the world and thereby eliminating all other races from the face of Aurel.

Humans, and the races of Mana, had been devastated by losses during the wars, and their numbers were few. Sensing what En was up to, they temporarily signed a peace treaty and banded together. However, they had only just enough military might left to them to mount an assault on one fortress. After careful consideration, they picked the one at the south pole, the Fortress Absolute. They raised their flags and took up their weaponry to mount this great assault, but En has seen their plan at the last moment, and summoned his remaining thirteen generals to his side to defend it.

The battle would rage on, however, the Allied forces were unable to make a good enough breach in the Ceryon defenses to halt this devious plan. It was then they would spot a fire in the sky, which would crash down opon the Ceryon defences like a thunderclap. It was none other than the woman whom En had betrayed, Nefarious. Bearing the two henceforth unknown Gods, Diana the Goddess of Creation, and Velnus, god of Destruction, she had returned and her wrath was terrible. Spearheading the assault, her eyes never leaving En, she would drive through the Ceryon defences like a hot knife through butter. However, she did not arrive soon enough.

En's grin of triumph would greet her as his mages finished their casting and began to call forth from the sky the terrible spell they had crafted. Nefarious would move to the highest hilltop she could find, and there she would stand, hands raised toi the sky as she attempted to use her innate ability to absorb magic to stop it. Even the ability of the brave woman was not enough to stop a master crafted spell cast by 5000 veteran mages however, and so she picked the only path available to her. She compressed the spell and bore it opon herself, encasing herself in the compressed ice where she would remain sealed for ten thousand years.

The world remained devastated by these wars, the world mostly frozen, and what remained desolate and in ruins. It was then that the gods Diana and Velnus would lead the people, and aid them. Creating the lush, fertile forests and earth, banishing the snow, and rotating the world itself so that the climate might be temperate enough for the remaining individuals to survive. The luxuries of modern day gone, and the knowlege of such things with them, the world would decend back into the dark ages, but they would live, and they were grateful and worshipped the two gods from then onward.

The Ceryon were hunted to nigh extermination, although a small number managed to hide in their underground fortress. The sorceror En was bound in a special layer of Hell, the tenth layer, crafted by Velnus especially for him. This layer contained a massive lake, called The Lake of Crimson Tears where he would be chained and cast into, bound never to die permanantly, and eternally to the bottom of this lake. The waters of the lake were magical in nature, and would bear opon it's occupants all of the massed pain they had caused in their lifetime for all eternity.

The Major Cities

Clairwynde - The Divine Kingdom of Clairwynde. This city is rich in culture and history, and has been ruled by wise and benevolent leaders ever since the days of old. However, the more recent leaders were corrupt. The king and queen of Clairwynde dreamed or world conquest, and their soldiers fought many wars with their southmost neighbor, Echidna, to attempt to force their religion opon it's people. The inscursions were never sucessful however, mostly due to the brilliant tactics of Nimrie Vira and her Bright Sheild unit of Guardians, as well as the efforts of Echidna's world famous Mage Knights. The King and Queen attempted to gather power to turn the tide in their favor, adopting into the royal family Seia Xie, whom claimed to be the legendary hero of the past age, Nefarious. Seia was a brilliant tactician and an excellent fighter, but she too would fail. The King And Queen then gathered together Demon worshippers, formerly criminals to be killed on sight, and had them stage a ritual to summon a great demon from the planes of the abyss. The Ritual however, went awry, as a few of the incantations were off and the spell ingredients were second rate. The spell went wild, and ended up pulling a Demoness from another world in the mortal plane to them, and most importantly, she was unbound. Tihs Demon, calling herself Overlord Kaion, would play along at first, letting them think they had the upper hand. Soon however, she would viciously butcher the summoning Demon worshippers and devour the king and queen. The Princess of that kingdom, and Seia Xie, would both pledge their lives to Kaion and serve her from then on, although the princess only ended up serving as dessert. Displaying her great power before the people of clairwynde, they looked opon her in awe, and soon capitulated, even tearing down the old god statues in the Grand Temple, replacing them with Kaion's statue and renaming it the Temple of the One, as well as giving her their fealty. The city has been treated fairly well, and everyday life continues mostly unabated. The citizens zealously worship Kaion and sacrifice to her regularly, the chosen sacrifices being sent via the Temple of the One to Kaion's Citadel where she would dine opon their flesh and souls. It is populated by Humans, with a light sprinkling of Demons.

Echidna - The People's Republic of Echidna, formerly the Echidna Grand Empire. A very militaristic, organized country that was ruled by a series of corrupt rulers, culminating in the rule of a man named Laris Faust, also called the Dark Lord. Laris Faust's reign brought only tragedy to the realm, with his constant wars and oppression of the people's rights. After his mysterious death, his son Hugh Faust took control, and created the Council of Elders. His decendants have ruled justly alongside the council ever since. The people are noted for being very polite and proper, and the naton takes pride in it's well organized Magic Knights, as well as the Academy, a grand center of learning and the training place for the knights. Such was the benevolence of the republic's rulers, that a sect of Guardians set up a temple barracks in this country as well, aiding and protecting those in need from the unjust. It was from these Guardians that Nimrie Vira would appear. When Clairwynde first made it's assault, she quickly responded and set up a defensive area in the forest north of Echidna, holding until the Magic knights could arrive and as a result, the battle ended in victory. Nimrie was praised and respected for her courage, and well known for her kindness and generosity. The nation as a whole was devastated when Kaion's leigons arrived from the north, spearheaded by the Goddess herself, and Nimrie fell from grace. Nimrie fought feircely, her famous Bright Sheild unit of the local guardians chapter standing stoutly in the face of Kaion's forces. A blast of power from the goddess changed that in a heartbeat. The small town they had held at levelled, and only Nimrie and a single companion remaining, both injured, Nimrie would stubbornly advance on Kaion's camp. The events within are unknown to the world, but the next time Nimrie was seen, her kind smile was gone, and her hand held not a sheild to defend the innocent, but a blade with which to slay them, and covered in mighty armor with which to trample them underfoot. She lef a force of Kaion's knights against Echidna, slew her guardian chapter entirely, and utterly destroyed the Magic Knights. Thereafter the city was sacked and looted, it's citizens enslaved. Even now they are made to work the feilds, and most days many of them don't even eat after sixteen hour days being whipped and working in the feilds. The town is covered in small thrown together hovels opon the old burned buildings and the citizens, Human and Kitsune alike, are filled with despair, the healthier ones sent to Kaion as sacrifices.

Vohngrhaad - In ages long forgotten, this city, fortified and built on the inside of a great mountain, was home to a strange variant of elf. These mysterious, long forgotten beings warred many times with the elves of the forests south of them, whom regarded them as an abomination. The city was very well organized and tidy in the daytighe, but at night there were often wild parties that stretched until dawn. These elves were said to have a bit of Demon in them, so it was not uncommon to see a demon or two mingling and enjoying the various parties. However, this civilization was destroyed, utterly opon the advent of the God of Chaos's awakening. The Ceryon had broken the seal on him placed there by the two Gods, Diana and Velnus, and when he broke free from under this town, he laid waste to it's occupants within and all around. Today, this race of party loving pugnacious heavy drinking elves seems to have vanished entirely off the face of Aurel, their existance now largely considered a myth. It's current occupants are mostly Dark Elves. The city capitulated immidiately and offered fealty to Kaion when threatened with a seige. It is a dark city, filled with dangerous types. Many people within vanish, either from murder, or to be sold into slavery. Assassins also sell their services here.

Lynx - The oldest city on Aurel, formerly home to a large population of Kitsune as well as the catlike Felpool that inhabit it today. The kitsune, a very pious people by their nature, and the Felpool, a mischevious, sneaky, playful sort always had their differences. But when one of the Felpool stole the underwear of the Head Pirestess of the kitsune religion, that was the last straw. The kitsune emigrated out to dwell elsewhere, and the felpool lived as they always had, stealing everything that isn't nailed down and some things that are. Some of the felpool have even been known to steal people in a very permanant manner. The city itself is dilapidated and ill maintained, chaos abounds and there isn't a responsible leader amongst the lot of them. The only reason thus far they have avoided occupation by Kaion is because she thinks it's more trouble than it's worth, and thus is leaving them for last.

Saranthas -

Kalista - The White City, the Immaculate Fortress, the Gate to Glory, this fortrress city bears many names, and is widely belived to be unnasailable.

Other Places of Note

Ruins of Arcadia - The ancient city of Dragons, long ago lain waste by an ancient evil of ages past. Formerly the largest, most prosperous city in all of Aurel. Populated by Dragons and Half Dragons of every color, although they keep the city hidden from all outsiders. The buildings are mostly broken and ravaged, although not the entirety of the city is so dlapidated. The poor live in what crumbling huts and caves they can huddle in, while the more well off live in renovated buildings closer to the former Temple District. The Temple of the Sacred Cycle lie in crumbled ruins, and not a one has dared set foot within ever since the death of First Priestess Leah when the town was sacked and lain waste to. The Dragons and Half Dragon Humans of Arcadia tend to dwell in different parts of each section, preferring to associate with their own color of dragon over the others more often than not. The city is currently ruled by the son of First Preistess Leah, a Dragon of mixed White and Gold ancestry. He is a wise leader and Chomatics as well as Metallics respect him, and his drive to ressurect the formerly awe inspiring city greatly.

Shato-Bara - A hidden place, seemingly just a legend to some, and a nightmare to others. It is suspected to be hidden somewhere near Bristillya, and was once the Royal Palace of Serenity, an ancient kingdom that fell to Tyne after rebelling against their own leaders and was subsequently destroyed. Legend states that the castle, by now likely decrepit and wasted, is populated by Vampires led by the legendary Gargoyle.

Skybreak - The Great Tree, Skybreak. Formerly an object of worship amongst the Elves, it was belived that if one were to climb this great tree, one could reach heaven itself. In later years, the Elves made themselves a home in the living wood of the tree, and their civilization flourished, culture rich and wealthy. However, nothing lasts forever, and soon, the naga Lirina would appear and trap the elves in their own home. According to rumor she blocked the only way out and ate until the elves were no more. To this day, there is not a single elf on the Eastern Continent, and none dare pass under the shadow of that tree, lest they find themselves in the massive Naga's belly.

Forest of Lies - West of Solace, lies a seemingly ordinary forest, that is far from what it seems. The forest is magical in nature, and oddly enough, with a magical distortion of space, it is much larger inside than it is on the outside. It is impossible to keep one's sense of direction once inside, as compass needles rotate in circles, moss grows on different sides of different trees, and many more irritating challenges to your average traveller. The stars themselves seem to dance about in the sky, and creatures of legend or myth reside within. Lost kingdoms, treasure, seemingly impossible life forms, and complete flouting of any and all modern scientific laws is present within. It seems to hide a terrible secret...

Temple of the One - The Great Temple just east of Clairwynde along a paved, guarded and well travelled road. This is the cheif place of worship on Aurel, and all of the world's dieties were once enshrined within. However, the only statue present now is the statue of the Goddess of Murder, Kaion Schrilven. Many preists of Kaion dwell here and sacrifices to please the goddess are common. The Horsewoman of War, Seia Xie, and the Horseman of Death, Shade Faugastal dwell within and from there, govern the Eastern continent.

Forest of Silence - The forest just northwest of Echidna. The trees, plants, animals, even every last insect of this place have become as solid stone. It is a lifeless place, always eerily silent with not the slightest movement within, excepting only the wind and the occasional stomping of mailed boots or clop of horse hooves. This frightening place is said to be the home of Nimrie Vira, Knight of Shadows, Kaion's horsewoman of Famine. It is often said that to enter this place is to commit suicide.

Races of the World of Aurel (WIP)

Humans - One of the more short lived species and fairly common on many worlds. I doubt I need to explain these overmuch.

Elves - The fey beings of the forest. They look similar to humans in build, albeit a bit shorter and thinner as well as having pointy ears. Elves are extremely rare and it is quite possible to wander the forests in which they dwell and never see one throughout an entire lifetime. The elves themselves are quiet and more timid around other races, although at home they are a happy people whom are very in tune with nature. All elves are connected spiritually to a giant tree somewhere in the forest, and if their Spirit Tree is destroyed, all the elves would die. There is currently only one such tree remaining, all others having been destroyed in a great war many ages ago. Most other races belive the continued existance of Elves to be a myth or legend.

Fairy - The dimunitive denizens of the forest. The average Fairy looks very much like a smaller Elf, standing at about 4" tall and has a pair of wings that look very much like that of a butterfly. Faries are very kind and friendly to most travellers, excepting those whom harm their forest homes. They will occasionally use magic to confuse travellers that get too close to their communal dwelling places. Fairies do not change the forest around them at all, although they will use things like dead twigs or picked flowers in their dwelling places. Faries do not at all get along with Pixies and fear them greatly, although not as much as they fear Fire.

Pixie - Very similar to a fairy, but at the same time very different. Woe be to the traveller whom stumbles across one for they delight in tormenting travellers that wander too close to their lairs. Many have been the unfortunates that have been led to the lair of such dangers as Tigers, Bears, Naga, or even the local Goo-Girl Mina if the pixie feels brave enough to get close to that place. Pixies stand at approximately 12" in height and have wings very similar to that of a Dragonfly. They love mischeif, and even among themselves no end of pranks are played, although these are harmless unlike the ones they play on travellers. Pixies dine on one thing and only one thing. Fairies.

Naga - With the waist-up body of a human and waist down body of a snake, the Naga are well known as one of the more voracious species, and by the time you've seen one you can rest assured it has had time to clear off it's schedule to make room for dinner plans. Nagas come in many sizes and patterns, the patterns often matching that of an equivalently scaled snake. Some are poisonous, others simply rely on constriction, and they all just love humans for dinner, although most anything will do as long as they can get it into their hungry mouths. Naga prefer to swallow their prey whole, and the more prey they consume, the bigger they get. They dwell primarily on the forest of the western continent, but it is said that a single Naga rode on a boat and has settled in the forest of the Eastern continent, much to the woe of it's inhabitants.

Felpool - The catlike people of the city of Lynx. Felpool are by nature playful and fun loving, as well as curious. Rare is the felpool whom isn't up to mischeif as well. Merchants, even other felpool, are always wary in the presence of one, as they are notoriously stickyfingered. In the port city of Linx, the fishing crews load their catch into an armoured wagon before bringing it to the fish selling stalls, often to the scritching of claws on the outer walls all the way there. They are about human sized in height and build, though notably more quick and agile even if they haven't got the greatest attention span. They have the ears and tail of cats as well as some catlike mannerisms. Catnip is often sold quietly on the back streets of their home.

Ceryon - The infamous harbringers of the catacysm. The rarest of all races, they dwell in only one small hideaway on Aurel, which they never leave throughout their whole lives. An artificially created Humanoid race that was made in pre cataclysm days by the humans to fight their wars for them. Led by the first Ceryon, En, they rebelled against their creators and used magic to cause the cataclysm. They are considered to be the enemy of every other race on Aurel, although after their king was killed during the battle with the god of Chaos, Aure, they were hunted down and exterminated. A very small number of them still hide deeep underground in a pre-cataclysm era city that is sealed off from the world. Ceryon are human in size, and have ears similar to that of an elf, excepting that their ears point straight back instead of upward diagonally. Their skin is a very pale white and their eyes and hair come in just about any color of the rainbow. They are born without souls, and have a base lifespan of 40-60 years unless they sucessfully absorb one. Each Ceryon may absorb one soul in their lifetime, and those Ceryon that do so will gain some of the physical traits of that soul's race as well as that race's mannerisms to an extent. The lifespan of an Ensouled Ceryon lasts anywhere from 100 years to 10000 years or even longer dependent on what soul they take.

Dark Elves - The scheming nasty neer-do-good distant relatives of the elves. Looking very much like an elf, but with white hair and red eyes, these underground dwelling people thrive on plots, deception and murder. They will do anything to get ahead in life, and consider themselves to be the best race on Aurel, giving snide looks to the rest of it's inhapitants, or as they say, the 'lesser species'. Their city of Vohngrhaad, inherited from a forgotten race that was destroyed in the time of Tyne, is inside of a large, hollowed out mountain in the northmost areas of the west continent.

Dragons - The large scaled reptillian beasts that have appeared in myth and legend since the dawn of Man. Enormous in size and covered in scales that easily turn just about any weapon one could concieve, and if that was not enough, each one has a breath weapon reminiscent of it's scale color to augment it even further beyond it's potent claws and teeth. Dragons are highly intelligent and posess the ability to change shape. Their shape changing has resulted in any number of half dragons being born, the majority of which dwell in Arcadia.

Half Dragons - The result of Amourous shapeshifting dragons. these people are more often than not shunned by their non dragon parent, and will usually move to the Grand City of Arcadia, haven for Dragons and Dragonkin for many an age. Half Dragons vary greatly in attitude and culture among those of different scale. Each color of scale half dragon will usually dwell in the part of town near those of the same color. Interaction between the colors does occur, most often in the merchant area of the city or near the governing buildings. One thing prevails among them though, they do like their meat. It is not uncommon among them to develop a liking for the flesh of humans or other similar creatures. Each one usually has scales along the forearm and back of the hand, which covers the outerside of the fingers and end in claws. They have scaly tails and wings, some have horns, scales are also found on the lower thigh and covering the shin and top of the feet as well as in assorted other places that very from dragon to dragon. Their breath weapon and elemental affinity match that of the dragonic parent.

Demons - Although a few dwelled here and there on Aurel, they were not at all common until the advent of Overlord Kaion opon Aurel. Demons come in many, many shapes and sizes, although all are easily identified by their own malicious nature and bloodlust. There are those whom are more toned down as far as that goes, but they are the exception rather than the rule among the forces of the Overlord.

The Grey Peoples - The children of Demons and Devils with the other races, they are the children of rape more often than not, although consensual intercourse occurs occasionally as well. They are loathed by both parent races and shunned for their whole lives. The lucky will manage to disguise themself, but if they are found out, often they are burned at the stake or otherwise summirarily executed. It is very rare for these people to reach adulthood or to find acceptance anywhere. These people mostly follow their spiritual leader Nimrie , whom has formed the Grey Knights under the banner of the Goddess Kaion.

Grey Kaionism - The secret and largely unknown branch of Kaionism that is practiced by Nimrie and the Grey Peoples. As a matter of fact, this religion is kept such a secret that even other members of Kaion's forces do not know of it or it's practices, as Nimrie is very secretive and her followers do not often mingle with other races. Grey Kaionism is however, naturally, known by Kaion. Naturally, the tempestuous Goddess does not specify whom of her Orthodox worhippers, or of Nimrie's sect are correct, but she does seem to favor Nimrie very highly and trusts her alone for most of her important tasks. Grey Kaionism is the practice of elaborate worhip of the Goddess Kaion as a Goddess of War, instead of the Goddess of Murder. This sect is far more ritualistic and formal than it's predecessor, and also does not include human sacrifice as the preferred method of worship, instead implementing the communal singing of Hymns to the Lady.

Battle PrayerIn addition to the regular worship that takes place at the secret churches that dot Nimrie's forts and encampments, those of this sect that serve in the military all carry a specially designed sword with a small impression on the underside of blade's pommel. These blades, before and after battle, are often planted blade first in the ground with a single candle placed into the indent and lit while the soldier kneels before the planted blade and presses their forehead to the pommel while they ask for the blessing of the Lady with Hymns. There are two distincitve hymns which are sung in this particular case, Firstly before battle they sing the 'Union of Voices' for the Lady's protection in battle, and after the battle is over they sing a second Hymn called 'The Last March' as a way of bidding farewell to those of thier own that have perished in battle.

Birth -The preists and preistesses of other religions, seen widely as the enemy among their people, are often captured and held as prisoners to be used for the only Human Sacrifice ritual in the religion, the Presentation. The Presentation is when a newborn child is to be given a name and displayed before the Statue of Kaion in the church, thereafter formally recognized as a member of the community. In the Presentation, the Stone Slab in front of the Church's podium is cleared off, and a clergy member of another religion is bound to it. A knife bearing the emblem of Kaion is driven through the heart of the individual, and the heart-blood is used as ink by the preist to mark the child's forehead with the runic emblem of wisdom, their chest with the runic emblem of courage, and their arms with the runic emblem of strength. The child is then held before the Statue of the Goddess, at which point the parents hold hands and speak together the name they have given to the child. The child is then taken by the parents and cleansed in purified lukewarm water, prepared specially for the occasion by being poured into a sacred basin and prayed over by a member of Kaion's Clergy from dusk until dawn opon the night of a full moon. The parents then present to the assembled the Sheild Father, and Sword Mother of the child, each of which are presented with a small neck chain bearing a sheild and sword respectively, and etched with the Child's full name. Should both of the parents perish, the custody of the child would go to them.

DeathShould a soldier fall opon the feild of battle, the remains would be recovered if possible and wrapped in a black silken cloth woven in red with the symbol of the Goddess Kaion, as well as the soldier's rank and name. The body is placed opon the stone slab in front of the Church Podium, and a clergy member, though Nimrie herself prefers to whenever possible, will read a summarized account of the person's deeds in life. After the summary has been read, the soldier may be assigned medals for action on the feild posthumously, the greatest honors of which are The People's Sheild for those whom perished in battle to save a comerade in arms, and the Golden Blade of the Lady for killing the enemy commander in battle. The medals are pinned to the cloth above the chest of the body, which is then transported to Dreadnought Castle, where the slain are set adrift opon a raft in the molten magma that bubbles beneath it, their rest never to be disturbed. For non military individuals, the death rites are a simple reading of Deeds, a hymn sung by the departed's next of kin, and an internment in the earth.

Marriage -

Aurelian Pantheon, Past and Present ((WIP))

Diana - Goddess of Creation, and one of the two Gods of the Great Cycle of life. She represents regeneration, healing, love and peace. Along with Velnus, she has become parent to many of the other gods. In the year of 14128 Post Cataclysm, Diana met her end in the Goddess of Murder, Kaion. Shards of her soul, albeit minute, reside in some of the world's artifacts.

Velnus God of Destruction, Husband to Diana and one of the two gods of the great cycle of life. Together with Diana, he symbolizes the end of old things and the birth of the new, the infinite cycle which governs the mortals. He represents War, Carnage, and Death. In the year of 11723 Post Cataclysm he was struck down by Tyne's servant, Lady Shreik. He is not actually dead, merely imprisoned in an unknown place.

Leah Goddess of Dragons, the First Preistess of Arcadia and the Great Mother to Aurel's dragons. She has existed since the beginning of the world, and is in fact the sister of it's creator, Aure. She is a very important figure in Arcadia, and chooses the new Bahamut (Ruler of All Dragons) each time the old passes based on Merit. Her scales seem to change color each time you look at her, and in fact she can and does breathe every kind of dragon breath. Her child currently runs Arcadia, as in the year 11723, Aure, Lady Shreik, and Tyne killed her during the Seige of Arcadia.

Ashei - Goddess of Luck, daughter of Diana and Velnus. Her existance has been held in doubt for many years, but the few things that are known are that she appears as a blonde female Elf, and that she dwells within the Forest of Lies. Her presence is heard to bring the individual that stumbles across her extreme misfortune, or a great wonderful streak of luck.

Kaion - The Demonic Goddess, born of the Schrilven blacksmiths she clawed her way up from the pits of the Netherworld to become a Goddess. Nobody is really sure what Kaion is truly the goddess of. It is certain that she seems to take great pleasure in the pain of others, and violence of any sort seems to give her strength. She rules a vast galactic empire of netherworlds with an iron fist from her floating fortress, the Dreadnought. Those among her netherworlds worship her as the Goddess of Murder, but Nimrie Vira and the Grey peoples that follow her instead worship her as a Goddess of War. Kaion herself does not say whom is correct, but she is known to greatly favor Nimrie at the least.

Lelloria Goddess of the Afterlife, Daughter of Diana and Velnus. It is Lelloria's responsibility to guide the souls of Aurel's passed to the next life, if they meet the requirements. Or, to the lake of Crimson Tears if they were evil enough. Most simply got reincarnated. Lelloria was swayed to the side of Tyne, her half sister, and fought against her parents during the seige of Arcadia, where she was killed in 11723 Post Cataclysm.

Tyne False Goddess of Lost Souls, Bastard Child to Diana from an extra marital relationship. Tyne in life had no idea of her heritage. She was abandoned as a baby, and made her way as a little beggar girl. OF course, being a girl on the street, Tyne learned to defend herself rather quickly. She dreamed of finding her parents and having a family, and followed the leads she found until she ended up meeting Iris Niala. The two became fast friends, and with Iris' help, she found her father. Of course, the day after the reunion, out of nowhere, Iris murdered Tyne gruesomely. Tyne, enraged at this betrayal, could not rest in peace. An ancient, forbidden tome, long hidden beneath the grave she was buried in resonated with her and she returned to life. Using the power of the book, she would slay mortals, and consume their souls, expanding to even the phylacteries of the liches.
