I'm special-type destroyer... Ayanami-class "Ushio". It would be nice to be dismissed soon...
==============================
Gonna have to say nay to that, little lady. >.< *pet-pets*

Despite being listed as an Ayanami-class destroyer, Ushio is actually the 20th of 24 Fubuki destroyers, built for the Imperial Japanese Navy after World War I. These little ladies at the time of their introductions were POWERFUL, to the point of being top class in the entire world. She and her sister ships served as front-line destroyers throughout the 1930s and remained formidable throughout the Pacific leg of WWII. Sadly, she's only one of two destroyers of her class to have survived the entire ordeal, and the sole survivor of the 22 ships involved in the attack on Pearl Harbor. She was surrendered on August 15, 1945, and finally scrapped in 1948. Poor thing. Just look at her profile picture.

Per the norm of most destroyer-type "kanmusu" (rough translation to "ship girls" or something to that degree), Ushio wears a sailor fuku. I said it on Shigure's profile and I'm going to say it again: How were these things allowed? Ushio is one of four ships in her class to wear a white-dominant variant of the fuku, with blue skirts and sleeve cuffs. The other two out of six have a different color scheme for reasons I can't even begin to fathom, other than that KanColle doesn't have just the one artist doing the kanmusu. In a lot of artwork, you'll probably see her holding some pink box thing with a face on it. That's her 12.7cm (mm?) gun. Apparently, it's not a part of her or the rest of her equipment which she wears like a form of backpack. Aside from her ahoge (little hair sprig usually on top of someone's head), nothing unusual regarding her hair that I can make a remark on.

My... hair...? Ah... don't stare, reader... it's embarrassing.

And that's our segue into the personality paragraph. Ushio's one of the numerous shy girls on the KanColle fleet. Since I am a person who likes a demure touch, that's not a bad thing at all. She wants to be helpful to her friends and the admiral (read: the player), but half the time, she sounds like a frightened mouse. One well-timed sharp word in her direction may elicit a river of tears. Messing with her companions, though, is not recommended, regardless of how scared she may look. Or how much her chest bounces.

Destroyer kanmusu are typically sort of the "commons" of Kantai Collection, characterized by low HP, armor, and attack. Their guns only hit about 5 inches in calibur, though heaven help me if I could ever find out what this means for actual power. However, they are capable of equipping torpedoes, are typically hard to hit, and are not to be trifled with at night. I will tell y'all right now that I know *nothing* about Japanese naval tactics, so I'm just going to assume that their night superiority comes from their radar systems and shit like that. ...And yes, everything up until this sentence was a copy-paste from Shigure. I dunno what makes Ushio stand out other than the fact that she's due for a second remodel. Usually, whenever a ship gets a secondary remodel, they get new artwork to go along with new stats.

Yes... I'll be modernized on October 24th.

...You realize that's two days away from the brunt of this profile's completion, right, Ushio?
