Soul_Knights

A group of knights that have succeeded in perfecting the process of becoming Soul Wielders. They continue to experiment on Soul Wielders in attempts to find ways to maximize their own powers. Their final goal, however, is unknown. There are three main division of the Soul Knights, each outlined below.

The Combat Division:
As its name implies, the combat division of the Soul Knights centers around fighting. The general Soul Knight trooper (Pictured to the left.) Belongs to this division. They wear high tech armor suits and wield generic Soul Weapons that all look the same and have similar powers. Also, their Soul Weapons instantly self-destruct if their master is killed. This does leave behind soul fragments though. The combat division's primary duties are collection of dangerous subjects for experimentation, dealing with intruders into the Soul Knight headquarters, and putting down experiments that have gotten out of hand. The combat division of the Soul Knights is headed by General_Valdis.

The Science Division:
The science division is mostly made up of exactly what you'd expect: Scientists. They aren't exactly great fighters themselves, most of them don't even have Soul Wielder powers, but their experiments are often a force to be reckoned with. At least the successful ones are. The science division does experiments on everything from Soul Wielders, to Black_Souls, to normal people. Half the time the result is an abomination that must be destroyed, but the other half yields a strong and loyal creature to fight for the Soul Knights... The science division has been greatly hurt by the loss of their leader, General_Reinhard.

The Intelligence Division:
The intelligence division exists to gather info on certain targeted subjects, to decide whether the subject is worth capturing for an experiment, or to assess the weaknesses of strong targets. Chances are, you'll never even know they're there... And that's if you're lucky. The intelligence division is almost entirely populated by Soul Wielders who have powers that aid stealth, giving them ninja-like skill in remaining hidden. For this reason, they are often employed by the Soul Knights as assassins as well. Like with the combat division, their Soul Weapons self-destruct if their master is slain. The head of the intelligence division, as rarely as he is seen, is General_Miasma.

The Elite Guard:
A group much smaller than the other divisions, the Elite Guard are the personal bodyguards of the Soul Knights' supreme commander, Rythe. As such, it is rare that they leave his presence... Though in some cases, they are sent out on their own missions. They are each trained and augmented from an early age, and given various drugs to stimulate growth. Upon attaining official membership in the Elite Guard, they are given their armor suit... It can only be removed surgically, as it is partially grafted to their skin. It his highly advanced however, and makes even a single Elite Guard a real threat, and that's not to mention all the combat conditioning they've had over the years. To make matters worse, their Soul Weapons are second only to those of the Soul Knight Generals... Weaker clones of Anivena, these Soul Weapons are capable of releasing large amounts of energy at a time...

Combat Division Arms:

The type of sword that all Combat division Soul Knights use. They are Soul Weapons, but all appear identical. They have unique living forms, but they are rarely allowed to take this form, if ever.

Science Division Arms:

A small combat pistol held by most Science division personnel, it is not a Soul Weapon, and is of little use in combat against stronger opponents. Typically only useful for self defense and not real combat.

Intelligence Division Arms:

A short, straight sword used by Intelligence division spies, it is a Soul Weapon with powers that center around stealth. They are rarely allowed to take living form, if at all. Unlike with the Combat division, intelligence division Weapons' powers have a few different variants, all focusing on stealth of some sort. Their appearances are all identical, with the exception that a few of the more powerful members are capable of wielding two of them.

Elite Guard:

The "Juggernaught" class armor worn by the Elite Guards.

Elite Guard Arms:

The Elite Guards' swords, attempted clones of Anivena. They aren't nearly as powerful as the real thing, but the Onyx shards embedded in their blades are still nothing to be trifled with. And if that wasn't enough, they're Soul Weapons too.

Mobile Soul Knight Facility:

A Soul Knight facility the size of a small building, capable of flight. These facilities are usually small laboratories, used by the science division to perform on-site experiments, with combat division escorts of course. These facilities are typically heavily guarded, but are more than likely to contain several nice things...

Anivena:

A sword that gives off an extremely powerful aura at all times. It is contained within a cloaked Soul Knight facility in the park, where it is permanently sealed, stabbed partway into the ground. It is clearly extremely powerful. While attempting an operation to rescue Razel_Lancer from the clutches of the Soul Knights, Razel and the other Soul Wielders learned that this blade is the source of all Soul Wielders' powers.

When subjected to a pulse of energy of the perfect type, the sword fires out an invisible, extra-dimensional blade. Since it's only partially in our dimension, it's very difficult to detect, and virtually impossible to stop. The blade passes through all physical objects, but can cut fragments off of a person's soul. Exactly what causes the resulting fragment to transform into a weapon is still unknown, but clearly has something to do with this special sword, as simply splitting off a part of one's soul another way doesn't have this effect. The extra-dimensional blade dissipates quickly after cutting a soul, which is currently the only known way of stopping them. Otherwise, they will continually circle the world forever.

The Soul Knights had been using the sword's special powers to create an army of Soul Wielders. They discovered that slicing a person's soul in a certain way always seems to produce a certain type of weapon, while using a certain energy wavelength to create the soul-cutting blade will result in a certain power. However, the blades occasionally fire erratically, flying off in a random direction instead of hitting the person who was supposed to get the powers. As a result, other Soul Wielders have appeared throughout the world. This has been happening more and more lately, causing a spike in the number of Soul Wielders who aren't part of the Soul Knights. Additionally, the blades seem to take on more and more strange properties the longer they fly, granting stranger powers when they finally hit someone. (For example, The blade that gave Dilyana her Soul Wielder powers likely circled the earth at least once, resulting in her unique weapon.)
