Black_Soul

Let me clarify something: This is NOT a soul wielder exclusive character. ANYONE can play with these, especially if they have a reason to want the soul fragments. Don't hesitate to ask if you want to play!

Mysterious creatures that have appeared in the park lately. When unaware that they are being watched, Black Souls seem agitated and nervous. Upon spotting any creature other than another Black Soul, they become aggressive quickly. They are particularly aggressive against Soul Wielders. Their mouths are usually invisible when closed, but are capable of stretching greatly in attempts to devour their target. If they cannot devour their enemy, they may attempt to directly absorb it instead.

Upon death, Black Souls drop Soul Fragments, which are highly beneficial to Soul Wielders and other creatures that can benefit from absorbing souls, such as kitsunes trying to get a new tail. The fragments aren't as useful as a full soul, but the effect builds up over time. (For those who need a specific amount, fifty fragments roughly equals a full soul.) The fragments can also be acquired by simply devouring the Black Soul whole, but this is not recommended for anyone who isn't highly resistant to dark taints... Or is already tainted themselves. (For those who prefer it, or just to make it more interesting, the soul fragments can take the shape of small humanoids once released from the Black Soul. They aren't very intelligent, due to being just fragments however.)

There are five basic types of Black Souls, most of which have their own subtypes. They will be detailed below. (The color of the text is also the text color I will use when playing that type.)

Types of Black Souls:

Common: As the name suggests, common Black Souls are the weakest and most common type you'll see. Their appearance is like that of the profile picture and they are about 2/3 the height of the average human. They are made of highly condensed darkness that can disperse or reshape itself under the right circumstances, and can regenerate damage easily. This also makes them fairly fragile however. Their claws are deadly sharp and are their main weapon, while their high speed is their primary advantage over foes.

Altered: Similar to the commons, altered Black Souls are made of the same substance as their weaker counterparts, but often take on different shapes and sizes, making them less predictable. For starters, they are usually much larger. They still primarily attack using claws or other sharpened body parts, but rely more on strength than speed.

Armored: These Black Souls have a thick, solid skin or even metallic armor plating. This makes them far more durable, but also means they lose their regenerative powers, as well as the ability to absorb prey directly. They come in many sizes, but are most often found at about the size of a human. They usually wield fists or other blunt body parts, or sharpened weapons in combat. Occasionally they can even be seen using firearms.

Master: Deadly Black Souls, and the strongest of the bunch. They typically take on a human or near-human form and use a variety of melee and ranged weapons in combat. Unlike lesser Black Souls, they are highly intelligent and capable of controlling weaker ones. Each Master is unique, having its own set of powers and abilities. The presences of a Master Black Soul is signaled by the appearance of what is called "blanks", weaker Black Souls with no soul fragments, powered by the mere presence of the Master Black Soul. Even altered or armored blanks may appear if the Master is strong enough. Master Black Souls are extremely dangerous, but the rewards may be worth the fight!
Current status: Beware! A master has appeared! Very little info so far, shown at the bottom of the profile.

Runner: An odd, extremely rare type of Black Soul. They are about the size of a common, but have long spindly limbs and bodies. Their heads are helmeted, but they avoid combat at all costs. They are seemingly indestructible, but clutch an orb-like object that contains soul fragments. Getting a hold of one of these orbs is extremely difficult given the Runner's speed, but you may be rewarded with as many as twenty soul fragments! Or as few as one... These orbs also sometimes contain other useful items as well.

Soul Fragment Key:
Common: One (90%) two (10%)
Altered: Two (80%) three (20%)
Giant Altered: Four (30%) five (20%) six (20%) seven (20%) eight (10%)
Armored: two (20%) three (75%) four (5%)
Giant armored: Four (10%) five (30%) six (20%) seven (20%) eight (20%)
Master: 50 (75%) 100 (25%)

Unique Black Souls:
An altered black soul named "Scar-eye" by Stanly_Brooker. Has shown above-average intelligence. Apparently he has a lack of regenerative ability, shown when an injury sustained over his right eye failed to heal during a fight with Stanly and Arufa_Ohime. Scar-eye was a common during this fight, but has since grown into an altered by devouring Lyanna.

???: A master-level black soul. Little is known about her yet, but like all Master black souls, she is capable of controlling most lesser black souls. She's also capable of creating blanks on at least a common level, perhaps higher.

She was destroyed by Stanly_Brooker. After she was beaten, she returned to her passive state, but Stanly was still about to attack. She said that she'd rather die than keep living this way anyway, so Stanly launched the attack. He noticed the fear in her eyes too late, and though he tried, he was unable to stop the attack, and she was killed.

Special Black Souls:

Fruit of Halloween/The Scarecrow:
A massive plant-like Black Soul that devoured other Black Souls to steal their power. The main pod stood on four giant root-legs, and had a massive chained up coffin beneath it. Once the plant was destroyed, the coffin burst open to show the monster's true form: A tattered old scarecrow. The scarecrow was just as fragile as one would expect, but was capable of creating hundreds of ghostly versions of itself to protect it from attacks, or to attack in retaliation. Worse, the Scarecrow was incredibly fast and strong, and proved to be a very difficult fight. Once defeated, the Scarecrow turned out to be alive even once the Black Soul inside was defeated. He later introduced himself as Territo the Fear Fairy, who was also possessing the Scarecrow when the Black Soul took it over. He has big plans... For entertainment of course!
