Sohryu Asuka Langley - a confusing name, for a rather confusing girl.
Her given name is Asuka, with both parent's last names being used - but seeing as the Japanese put their Family names in
the beginning, while American's put theirs at the end, it causes for a rather interestingly named girl.
To make things even more confusing, despite her mixed heritage, she was raised in Germany and is a quarter German on her
mother's side.
Let's just call her Asuka - the Second Child chosen to pilot the Eva Series. She was given the unit number 02,
and is the only pilot who matches her unit's number. At the tender age of 14, Asuka is a very accomplished young woman.
She has already acquired a degree in college, and is an ace pilot in comparison to the others (in her opinion). She is also
fully fluent in both German and Japanese.
Personality
At a first glance, Asuka's personality seems pretty easy to interpret. Her passion, her spunk, and her temper are all as
fiery as her hair - and she has a sharp wit to boot. She's difficult to get close to in that sense, as she seems very judgmental,
constantly demeaning others. Asuka is very good at letting on the impression that she's a composed, has-everything type of girl -
this is really just a defense mechanism though. She is just as fragile, if not more-so than the other Children, and her fiery personality
is her own version of the hedgehog's dilemma.

As for how Asuka is in this place, is utterly beyond me at this point. Don't be surprised if I never actually explain it.
She has her Eva, but she can't really use it at this time - given it needs to be initialized by NERV.
*I'm pretty flexible, the sliders aren't set in stone and if you're interested in something just talk to me about it first.
Sometimes I like a change from the usual order of things, so don't be afraid to experiment! I have the most fun just trying to play Asuka's
character accurately in a variety of different situations, not always perilous.
