For as long as anyone could remember, Mt. Etoi served as a holy mountain, in containing the Lightbringer and the chest that held many, many demons. Lightbringer was nothing more than a lock for the chest for as long as its blade was within the slot. And since those times the legendary hero had sealed the demons away, the land was at peace. To the present day, the shrine at the base of the mountain was home to those that seeked to keep the mountain, Lightbringer and the Chest from being tampered with. Many have came and gone on about trying to go up the mountain for their own evil desires but everytime, the shrine maidens and their leader thwarted those attempts time and time again. Though, that all changed with Ketri came along...

For Rumi at the time, she was off to the city that her aunt Kayna_Rain lived in for a break from the tough life as a Mt. Etoi Shrine Maiden. Though, upon returning to the shrine, she would find that it had been destoryed! None of the other maidens, nor the head preistess was nowhere to be found, around the shrine, village and even the mountain itself! Upon journeying up the mountain, where Lightbringer and the chest was held, she would be shocked to find the chest was now wide open and as for Lightbringer? She could only find a small fragment of the hilt behind the chest. Not only did someone break the holy blade but also released the demons within the chest!

Her surprise was soon cut short when a small gang of demons had approached her from behind. With only a bow and a bundle of arrows on hand, she was forced to take on the company of demons, stumbling between attacks. Many could say that Rumi wasn't much of a fighter but her job required her to be. After a rough attempt, she managed to scare all but one off, a demon she managed to pin to a nearby wall. She was soon able to force it to talk and give her what it knew. She soon learned that a eight tailed kitsune had freed the demons, including itself, out of the chest and the same kitsune managed to bring the maidens under her control! The last known location of the kitsune leading the now masked maidens was out of the village and into the forest.


Now her mission was clear, Rumi had to rescue the other maidens and defeat the evil kitsune that took them! After raiding the remains of the shrine at the base of the mountain, she was able to equip herself with talimans, prayer cards, arrows, brushes, ink, you name it! Lastly, she soon placed a special mask over her face and from that point, she assumed the name of the 'Holy Huntress' and began to train to better herself. She had to be ready, for demons, evil foxes, whatever came her way!

Along the way of her goals, she soon heard of a girl named Nella_ who had fought against the kitsune at Mt. Etoi but had been defeated at that time. This made Rumi curious about the girl and thus, between fighting off demons, she would take time to try to track down the girl. While it did take some time (And one encounter with the Sorceress, which ended in defeat) Rumi was able to find Nella, inviting her into a room inside a Inn to ask her all that she knew. She would soon learn the girl was on her own quest to defeat the sorceress and restore Lightbringer. Upon seeing Nella had every other piece of Lightbringer with her, she soon blessed her with the fragmented hilt since the girl had forgotten it. From there, the two made sure to have each others backs if anything was to go wrong on their quest to restore peace to the land.

Months would go on by since then, Nella was free to seek out the knowledge to reforge the blade and Rumi, the Holy Huntress, was able to fend off demons that would threaten villages, cities and even became a thorn in the Sorcress's side when the two crossed paths, foiling her plans to get more slaves for her lair, stop Nella and so much more. Though, it wouldn't be long until Rumi made a small mistake and like that, she was captured by the Sorceress. Luckily by the time she had been captured, Nella was successful in getting Lightbringer fixed up and soon, the final battle ensued.

All while the battle went on, Rumi was forced to serve the Demon Tali who remained behind in the lair, tightly squeezed back and forth by her long, thick snake. Though, before she would pass out from the lack of air, there would be a loud thud. One of the masked servants had just smacked Tali in the back of her head, knocking her out. The fact that one of the servants had just turned on someone that was a right hand to Ketri meant one thing. The spell on some or most of the servants had been broken! With that, Rumi made sure to break away from the snake and with many of the servants, left out of the lair. And she would find that all of the maidens from her shrine had been freed. Once everything had been said and done, Rumi and the maidens soon returned to the shrine, up the mountain and upon seeing Nella now having Lightbringer in the chest once more, the maidens went off to place up a barrier around the entrance that led to the chest. Though, at the request of Rumi, the power to undo the seal was given over to Nella herself. Only her, and only her, can past though the barrier.

With peace restored, Rumi went on to help with the recontruction of the shrine, even being named as a high priestess. All that ends well, ends well.

Until years later when Rumi would be visited by Kyubei...~
