The Blazing Blade

At the end of The Blazing Blade, if playing Eliwood's route, Eliwood asks Mark, whom he met during his story, to name his firstborn child. That child, Roy, appears briefly at the end of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade in an epilogue that takes place fifteen years after the events of the game. During Eliwood's visit to Castle Ostia, Roy accompanies his father and meets Hector and his daughter Lilina for the first time. The two quickly run off to play as their fathers discuss the unrest occurring in Bern by Zephiel.

Roy's mother passed away at some point in his childhood. His mother's identity is never mentioned in The Binding Blade, however the Blazing Blade shows that his mother could potentially be either Ninian, Lyndis, Fiora, or an unnamed fourth woman depending on player interpretation.

During his upbringing, he was wet-nursed by the Pheraen lady in waiting Rebecca, and was raised with her son Wolt, his milk brother. He is eventually sent to study in the capital of Ostia with Lilina. Cecilia becomes his instructor, specifically honing his skills with the sword as he has little aptitude for magic.
