Species Info
Vultures have long been associated with death; a primordial vulture (Vultures created/born before or at the beginning of time.) could almost be called death itself. People have described seeing a primordial vulture as seeing a serial killer that made it known "you're next" but left the WHEN to themselves.

Primordial Vultures are omens to pregnant women, a sign that their baby will either die during birth or live a very short life. Having followed a life even before birth, the Primordial vulture the mother saw will be the one that eats her child's remains when they die.

There are times though a Primordial can be persuaded to give hints as to what misfortune awaits them if offered food.
Some can even be kept as pets/guardians if they can keep feeding the vulture fresh meat.

In this period of time it's considered bad luck to throw a rock at a vulture, for there's no guarantee it's a regular vulture. The only way to tell is when it's too late, when you throw a rock at it, it doesn't fly away. . . instead its eyes seem to ooze black tears before charging at you.
Overall Facts
Nyx is the second tallest member of the "Birds of Paradise" at 7ft tall, D cup, 225 lb, and named after the goddess of night, Nyx is the Oldest, born from the primordial soup and gained her immortality after absorbing the knowledge of Lilith's defiance in the garden of Eden. She stopped aging physically around 50 years of age.
Similar to the goddess of night, she gives off an aura of maternality, protecting the young.
Among the other Birds of Paradise Nyx is the slowest, but at the same time is the smartest.
Also because of her weight she's not the best flier, preferring to glide on air currents.
As a predator, to her she's stopped being picky, anything's fair game once it's been wounded, though she prefers to try her luck against nagas and nekomata.

Before reaching her current location, she lived most of her life in Egypt as a pharaoh's visier; she gave him wisdom in return for being fed the corpses of traitors and deceivers, weighing their sins under Maat and Anubis's watchful eyes.
She was brought to the new universe through a continuum shift, now living in the Dusharan desserts.
The massive sand dunes, hide forgotten secrets; it's her own little world, where she can do her "experiments".
Sometimes she get's lucky and expands her knowledge of magic or deciphers a DeusText.

Accepting this, she then strengthened herself against the sin of pride; she did this by amplifying her virtue of humility, in the end learning her true name "Shilbaba".

As an organization, Nyx is responsible for creating the Various Magic/Sigil and science institues, researching and studying new forms of spells; they are then refined/amplified/dampened for public use.
As an individual she runs a Massive Magic University somewhere in the Dusharan dessert, people here study beneath Nyx to become masters at "forgotten" forms of magic.
Beliefs
Magic itself is sentient existence, and it only lends it power to those of great power or great wisdom. So in her learning, she believes magic smiles upon her and rewards her by letting Nyx use spells that require more magic.
She also believes that certain truths are demons in written or vocal form. Some truths can shatter and destroy a person's mind. So in her devouring/hiding truths from the world she's protecting them, since she can bear the burden of such powerful knowledge.
Personality
Nyx is considered to be the isolated, exclusionary type and friendships don't come to her easily. She is apathetic and somnolent with little desire to put in any effort into meaningless disciplines or activities, and instead focuses exclusively on her pursuit of knowledge.
Yet she does seem to hold some strange fascination and even feelings of respect towards people that hold a deep sense of duty and righteousness - in those people who do care and who can devote their lives and even die for causes they believe in.

Despite Nyx's usual cold and calm demeanor, she has been shown to emote her feelings in various ways.
She's angered when teased her about her constant avoidance of hand-to-hand combat training, even more so when they claim she's over specialized in her talents.
Not tempered against the sin of wrath, she can lay down a sound beating if she feels the need to.
Her BERSERK button though is when knowledge is used towards "pointless" wars.

The only time that she is seen as genuinely smiling in a caring manner is when she's around children; while the controversy of pedophillia surrounds her because of this, she cant help but admire their frailty and untapped potential.
She loves talking to them, unlocking their magical talent and watching it bloom.
Powers/Sigils
Born of the primordial soup she has one of eldritch techniques, specifcially the ability to devour history; to swallow truths and chew apart the lies people tell others as well as themselves.
In combat she can swallow a person's past, resulting in chronic amnesia; she also eat their present, giving them short term memory loss.

The main way she uses this though is to silence certain events, erasing them from history, things she believes people don't need to know and usually are happier without such knowledge. When mad day comes it makes it all the more jarring when she bestows knowledge to people, crushing their safe ignorance as they go made from the revelation.

Nyx is specialized in one of the seven forbidden arts, specifically geomancy.
She draws power from the environment and bends it to her will. She knows alot of powerful spells; however geomancy doesn't rely on her own mental and physical limitations.

Her grimoire only lets her use spells once she fully comprehends the intricacies behind the spell in question; once that's done all she has to do is either whisper or think the incantation and then focus all her killing intent on the target (mark for dead).

Otherwise she can actively read spells from her grimoire, getting drained of her stamina and lifeforce.
Having lived such a long life she can push herself to the limit, but if she slips up and draws to much power she'll be spending the next few months in a hospital from overexertion and internal injury.

Either way, she prefers using Earth and Wind class spells; living in the Dusharan dessert she can create powerful sandstorms, burying/(preserving) her opponent (for later consumption)

She has 2 sigils
Sigil of the Litch: A dark form of Reformation, Nyx binds her knowledge and magical power to her corpse, restoring her health by 75% and increasing magical power by 50% for 10 turns, giving her one last chance t otake her opponent down with her.
Sigil of Atlas: increases weight capacity by 100 points.
Talents
Art of Phantasm
1. Becomming intangible, she can move through solid matter, making following her incredibly difficult in a cluttered or abandoned house.
2.Grabbing others she can force this ability onto others, dragging them underground or into air tight containers; either way suffocation soon follows.
3. It's also useful during sandstorms. keeping her safe while casting spells, no chance of sand getting in her eyes.

Manipulation of fate
1. Only capable during Enlightened mode, if she can find someone's life tome and consumes it, she can slowly digest their very existence, melting away as they slowly dissapear.
2. At the same time she can change their fate by writing in the tome; altering their history.
Weapon
She only has one, an a big black book called the infimoire. A portmanteau of the words infamous, infinity, and grimoire, this 3 feet tall, 4 feet long, and foot wide book is literally a source of infinitie knowledge written by the Kishin phoenixes.
The only catch is you must fully understand a spell before you're allowed to move onto the next page; also as a book of black magic if you dont understand your limits the book will be more than happy to drain the life force of the spell caster if they don't have the energy to cast it safely.
