Student Bio
Depending who you ask, Nora is either a refreshing source of morale on a cheer team rent by cattiness and competition, or a frustrating dilettante holding the squad back. Admittedly, she doesn't practice anywhere near as much as her teammates, which shows in her often-imperfect choreography. But that's because she's more focused on having a good time than on mastering every move, and while her frequent mistakes may irk her more competitive teammates, it's hard for them to coalesce against a cheerful girl on the cheer team — especially when audiences don't seem to mind. There's just something infectious about Nora: her genuine, coy grin consistently draws more eyes than her peers' perfect performances.
Of course, for as many are staring at her smile, at least twice as many are peering at the playful peek of white flashing beneath her skirt. Nora is perfectly happy with the attention, for her pursuit of pleasure isn't limited to the cheer team. Off the field, Nora partakes in all the perks of popularity: playing, partying, and generally living with the same unbridled hedonism that characterizes her performance on the team. Studying's not fun, so she doesn't; broaching any topic unrelated to her immediate interests will usually elicit a blank stare and a strikeout. But her looks and vibe alone are enough to earn a seat at the popular table, a place at every party, and a revolving-door of casual hookups.
Nora may not exercise the privileges of popularity with malicious intent like the more Machiavellian students to whom she plays sidekick, but she bastes in its benefits nevertheless. Her idylic life of fun parties and cute boys exists entirely separate from the majority at Maruac; like any popular girl, castes of downtrodden students resent her by association even as they lust after her, of which she is wholly unaware. Her clumsy cheerleading would likely be far less tolerated if she wasn't the main attraction of every school sports team's after-game party. Lacking awareness, she has acquired a "let them eat cake" naivety, not realizing that for most people "having fun" is not their sole concern.
More disturbingly — but unfortunately, not at all unusual for a pred in Nora's social strata — she has picked up a coldly cavalier attitude towards prey (and often by extension the unpopular). At almost every party someone tosses a tiny towards the cat, who snaps them from the air and gulps them down with the same casual pleasure she might any other food. The cute smile they disappear behind never fades. Hers is the banal evil of one disinterested in questioning dogma, borne more from lazy conformity than from any strong ideological bent. After all, why would she bother to challenge the social system she thrives in? It's fun. And that's all that matters.
