Species: Elemental Deity: Earth-Water/’Mud’

Weight: As much as six feet of thick clay.

Appearance: One of the things about Myre, is that her overall form will remain the same should she will it, her bodily colouring tends to depend upon the material available at her formation. Were she to rise from the ground in the middle of a peat bog, then her tone and texture would be different than had she formed herself from a patch of river clay.

Although minor details such as hair, height and bodily shape vary, everyone who has survived an encounter with Myre will describe the same thing. A certainly female shaped form, consisting of what seemed to me mud/sand/local substance, with a voice that is either as sweet and caring as a lover, or a dominatrix for whom a human life is little more than a toy.

Personality: As with the supposed majority of deities, Myre was seemingly the very picture of a caring guardian from the second she was formed. Far from clinging to her bogs and sucking innocents down to their deaths, she would assist them in avoiding such perils whenever she could, rescuing them when they found themselves stuck, and even comforting those too deep to save.

This initial stage of her life lasted until a few thousand years into the sentient stage of humanity, and what came next was almost certainly a consequence of interactions with a sentient species. Unlike species which lived off instinct, those of a sentient nature harboured different reactions to what life faced them with, such as becoming trapped and sinking into one of Myre’s pits.

Some of those caught in such a situation sought only help and escape at first, others gave into fear from the very start while a few simply seemed resigned to their fate. The ones who got in deep enough to be beyond resque, and finding themselves visited by Myre reacted in more confusing ways than that.

Such is the nature of sentience, giving everyone no matter how big or small their own perspective on things, even if this complicated Myre’s responsibilities quite a bit. There were people who wanted emotional support, others knowledge of what would happen to them, if their family would ever know and most confusing of all… physical ‘love’.

The motives behind it were many, pure arousal, laughing in the face of death, making love to a ‘divine’ creature or simply an urge for intimate contact. Combined though, they served to introduce Myre to the concept of intimacy, made all the easier thanks to her anthropomorphicity ensuring that the correct parts and responses were in place upon her form.

Being exposed to both the acts and feeling that come with such intimacy was rather an eye-opener for Myre, unfortunately with it came a rather less pleasurable realisation. Not all the victims of her marshes were accidental, some being shoved into the depth by a jealous lover, or simply to cover up evidance of past crimes.

As time went on, Myre found herself dealing with yet more who had been murdered in such a way. To have the very foundation of ones body used for such purposes was a rather unsettling series of thoughts within her mind, thoughts which began to manifest themselves in her interactions with others.
