'The new issue of my doujin will go on sale this weekend, if you'd like to see it... '

Magical girls gotta have rivals, or a nemesis or main enemy to fight. Them's the rules. Otherwise, they wouldn't have much to do, ne? Most of the time, they're the polar opposites of the heroes, and do all sorts of dastardly things to thwart the plans of the good guys! But they always fail...

Misagi here is Kannagi's nemesis. Well, sort of. But, we'll get to that later. First... origin story~!

Okay. So, here's the scoop. Misagi is a relatively popular doujin artist in the circles these days... she specializes in Touhou, Type-Moon, 07th Expansion and Miku Hatsune doujins, but she'll often do fan requests, which is partially why she's so popular! It helps that she's a wonderful artist, too.

Last Comiket, Misagi had just gone on break, and was rushing from her table to the table of one of her own favorite artists to pick up his latest... but when she got there, it was sold out! And a pudgy little otaku by the name of Kannagi was walking away with the very last copy, humming happily to herself.

'Oh well', thought Misagi at the time, trundling back to her own booth. 'That's what happens.'

'course, she didn't count on being possessed...

Not a week later, Kannagi knocked over those 1/1 scale figures, releasing the spirits within. The spirit in the Asuka figure, a rather evil little shikigami, hunted down anyone who might bear ill will towards Kannagil. And, unfortunately, Misagi was the best she could find.

The shikigami's influence gave Misagi powers that were identical to her 'rival'... complete and total manipulation of any anime/manga/game/doujin-related thing she can think of!

And with that power, Misagi charged forth, to...

... go to Kannagi's house to ask to borrow the doujin. They go to the same school, after all. They were in the anime club together. They were friends, and they hung out often. So, why not?

Unfortunately, Kannagi's response was 'it's a limited edition, so I can't let you take it home. You can read it here, though!' Misagi didn't have time to read it right then and there, though.

The battle that ensued between the two super powered otaku leveled fourteen city blocks in Tokyo. Ochanomizu was pretty much gone, and most of the rail lines connecting Tokyo station to the Chuo-sen rail line were obliterated. Misagi lay defeated in the street, and after the epic battle that made her miss her previous engagement anyway, she and Kannagi went back to the latter's house, and she read the doujin anyway. No sense in wasting the day, right?

It didn't take the two otaku girls long to realize that they both had legions of supporters, their battles were legendary in Akihabara, and people wanted more.

So, being otaku, they went for the exploitation-for-profit route. They remain friends, but they're also 'the most bitter of foes' and routinely blow the crap out of each other (and Tokyo) on an almost daily basis. After the smoke clears, one usually sneaks to the other's home, and they spend the rest of the night hanging out together.

On top of that, Misagi writes doujins about herself and Kannagi now, and the two are working on a doujinsoft game as well.

So not only do they get to live out every anime fantasy they've ever had, but they also get paid for it.

Fufufufu~

Misagi herself is about five feet, nine inches tall, and weighs a good hundred and seventy pounds... most of the weight focused in her smooshy hips and rump. Contrary to Kannagi's blatant otakuness, Misagi is a more straight-laced type. She's very quiet and introverted, and is routinely embarassed when people see what she's bought, even if it's something mundane. She's quite a bit more book-smart than Kannagi, and often ends up doing the other girl's homework, though it doesn't come without a cost.

She's just as much of a fan of bishoujo merchandise as Kannagi... in fact, the game they're working on together is essentially a dating sim for otaku that lets them side with one or the other and help their chosen girl achieve victory! It'll be a best seller, just you wait.

But wait! Whatever happened to that evil shikigami? She got fed up a long time ago and wandered off to Nagano. See, Misagi's not really the evil type... she's far too passive. Even infused with the shikigami's evil powers, she doesn't do anything worse than the 'good, righteous' Kannagi. She actually causes less collateral damage, too.

About the only worrying thing is her appetite for cute otaku boys. She snacks on them quite often, though no one ever seems to notice they're missing. Then again, as she has anime powers, maybe she's just willing them into existence?

In any case, she eats folks. Her primary method is quite a surprise, considering her demeanor... she likes to smother her victims into unconsciousness with her wide, smooshy rump, then swallow them whole!

She's always been a little jealous of Kannagi's heavy bust, though she doesn't admit this out loud, preferring to call it a 'ludicrous watermelon rack'. Still, her own bosoms is relatively modest, and unsuitable for devouring. But, anime powers! She can just plump them up, allowing her to breastvore her targets.

She enjoys the living hair thing too, and likes to devour folks with her pretty ponytail. Mmm~

Back to her bottom. She can eat folks with it, but doesn't do it often. It embarasses the hell out of her, you see.

To counter Kannagi's tentacle monster, Misagi has a gargantuan ooze creature. Dark purple in color, it's immensely sticky and quite hungry all the time, and big enough to eat small mecha.

Misagi's transformation phrase is 'Dark Akihabara Vixen Misagi! Totonoeruuuu!' She objects to the dark vixen part, but she does transform into a lot of black leather outfits...

Her 'evil lair' is located at the top of Radio Kaikan... right across the street from Gamers...
