Like Nanami, Magatsuhi is a powerful demon that feeds on the energy of discomforted persons.

Unlike her, though, he wasn't born to antagonistic-spirit parents. He was the first of his line with the mark of an antagonist. Throughout his infancy, Magatsuhi's mother and father both struggled with trying to keep him happy, as his happiness was their misery in most cases. Unfortunately for him, his parents couldn't cope with his condition and ended up abandoning him when he was barely old enough to remember them. At a young age, he encountered Nanami and discovered she was as he is. This meant everything to him, but seemingly nothing to the kitsune, who was born to two antagonist-class youkai herself. This was the start of a sort of one-sided rivalry between the two. Magatsuhi hated Nanami, who seemed to have been born with everything and who could do things so easily compared to him, who struggled to just survive.

Seeing Nanami with her two parents that clearly loved her only made Magatsuhi hate her more and more as he grew, the bitter loneliness of having been abandoned by his own parents eating away at him and burning up his core with bitter resentment. He made it his life's goal to not only surpass Nanami with his own power and feeding stock, but also to take from her as much as he could. She, who couldn't even remember their first meeting and who refused to acknowledge him would be forced to know his name. She would beg him to stop, beg him for mercy. He wouldn't oblige.

Magatsuhi would come away from this with everything he ever wanted. He was sure of it.

Trivia:
1. 'Magatsuhi' means 'Devious Spirit'

2. While he definitely isn't as strong as Nanami, he definitely has more heart/passion than she does and enjoys his "job" quite a bit more than she. He also sees her as sort of a rival, though she doesn't see him as such.

3. Magatsuhi has a unique method he normally utilises for feeding. Basically, he antagonises his prey. When beings are in distress, they radiate off a certain energy that Magatsuhi's kind can use for sustenance. Methods of antagonisation can vary vastly between different yokai. Where Nanami prefers more "vanilla" and "civil" methods, Magatsuhi seeks to create the most discomfort possible. He is more likely to actually eat his prey, sometimes keeping them captive and other times digesting them away to nothing. His willingness to keep prey alive depends on the quality of the energy they release. This means, the better the prize, the more likely he is to keep them alive.

4. After feeding off of a being once, they become marked, making it easy for the yokai to locate them for further feeding.
-a.) The mark is invisible to the naked eye; one must have both spiritual powers and needs to be actively looking for it to find it if it doesn't belong to them.
-b.) However, when looking for 'marks,' they can tell how powerful the yokai is that placed it. This normally keeps lesser demons from 'stealing' meals from stronger ones.

5. In times of bountiful quality food, most of Magatsuhi's kin keep to their own meals. But if there is a particularly quality bit of soul to feed from, there will be skirmishes on who has the right to claim it. When breaking a mark placed by another yokai, the demon breaking the seal absorbs the energy used to place it. This in itself is enough to sate them for several days.
-a.) The yokai that placed the mark becomes aware that it has been broken.
-b.) Many yokai will break bonds of stronger demons if food supply is scarce or if there is a particularly prime soul. Because Magatsuhi is so strong, most don't attempt to lay claim to anything with his mark on it.
