SPECIES: What could most accurately be called an Eldritch abomination, possessing a human body.

APPEARANCE: Lean, athletic, a lot more powerful than he looks. Colliqually, a 'twunk'. Pale skin, sometimes sickly so. Dishevelled dark brown hair just above shoulder length, oftentimes tucked beneath a Death Proof trucker cap or, when he's feeling fancy, a white fedora. Purple eyes, glassy and piercing and unnatural. Noticably sleep-deprived. Dresses like he robbed a thrift store. Usually has blood on him.
SEXUALITY: Asexual.
OCCUPATION: Proxy?
LOCATION: Mostly New Jersey. Perpetually, The Candleverse.
ABILITIES: Immortality, possession, reality-bending, regeneration, teleportation, apportation, pocket dimension manipulation, technokinesis, telepathic perception, psychic vampirism, supernatural speed, strength and endurance...

An ancient being, malevolence and misanthropy incarnate...Little is known about HABIT, the details of the creature's origins long lost to time. However, one thing is for sure, and that is that HABIT is an extraordinarily powerful, mysterious, and above all else, dangerous entity.
The being's vessels are known as the 'InHABITed'. These unfortunate individuals serve as this beast's main means of communication and interaction with our world, as well as puppets for their own twisted entertainment. HABIT is capable of pushing the human body far beyond its natural limits, and then some - from drastically enhanced speed, strength and stamina, to twisting the human form in all manner of unnatural ways, to the rapid healing and/or regeneration of lost or damaged tissue. However, it should be noted that HABIT has no regard whatsoever for the wellbeing, physically or mentally, of those they inhabit - even, in some instances, forcing said vessels to mutilate themselves, whether as an intimidation tactic or simply because they derive some sick, sadomasochistic pleasure from doing so. They're capable of possessing multiple hosts at one time; the most noteworthy case of this being an incident in which an entire SWAT team was bent to the thing's wills and forced to brutally murder one another. There is no way to forcibly remove HABIT from their chosen shell(s), but should said individual(s) be fatally wounded, (traumatic head wounds, spinal cord damage, etc., anything that they can't or aren't willing to fix,) they will abandon them in search of another, more suitable host.
This unfortunate host, a magnum opus of sorts, would be one Evan Myers, the resident nutritionist and co-creator, alongside his best friends Vinnie and Jeff, of a health and fitness-based tutorial channel gone horrifically awry. Powerless against the entity's wills, Evan is essentially trapped within his own body, catatonic, somewhere in the back of a stolen mind, as this monster commits all manner of atrocities with his hands. Sometimes, HABIT will temporarily let Evan take control once more - for the sole purpose of tormenting him.

Analeise - An anomaly on the run who chose exactly the wrong house to break into at exactly the wrong time. Stumbled upon a scene of ghoulish slaughter and, in the midst of it all, this otherworldly monstrosity. Though he didn't take too kindly to the six foundation agents that came barging his door down, HABIT, surprisingly enough, decided to show this fugitive some mercy. Even fought alongside her to tear through their ranks, ultimately leaving him with six more corpses to scrape up later. And in his infinite generosity, he even thought, once exhaustion and pain from sustained, still-regenerating injury took hold, to give the poor thing a place to recuperate for the night; his stomach. After some minor height adjustments, of course~...But that wasn't real was it? Upon waking up her normal size, in the home of the killer, as though nothing had occured, it must've been some bizarre fever dream induced by trauma and exhaustion...Right? Spoiler alert: Totally real, will happen again. For now, though, having earned his respect, he allows this fugitive to take refuge in his domain, and offers her his protection. Emily_Winehouse - What an interesting turn of events. A happenstance meeting between a creature of the night and the embodiment of evil himself, following the accidental theft of his kill, became something of a regular occurance for the pair. The woods where they met steadily becoming a playground and, moreso, a feeding ground...Speaking of which, this new vampiric companion proved herself quickly to be quite the odd little thing, what, with her peculiar preoccupation with his stomach...Not that he'd complain, of course. No, in the brief period they've known each other, Emily has gone out of her way to keep him fed and satisfied, with the reason behind her fondness coming to light soon after. Luckily for her, though, as was discovered when HABIT thought to indulge a fantasy she'd foolishly told him in confidence, it appeared that the whole 'being digested' thing was completely off the table for her. Something correlating with her vampirism, perhaps? He didn't know and he didn't care - all that mattered was that this would definitely become a regular thing. He's met her father too, you know? Though, he's not aware of that little incident, or any of the similar activities between them that followed after...They seem to be on quite good terms, collaborating to get to the bottom of and ultimately deal with this pesky, ongoing infestation of hunters...Heads will be rolling.
Ohi - Luck really wasn't on this poor catgirl's side this time. From a mishap with a black market shrinking potion to getting chewed to a bloody pulp by the monstrosity she'd hoped would be her savior, things just didn't go to plan for poor Ohi.
Clone_Crazy - "RABBIT #037 HAS BEEN ELIMINATED. PERMANENTLY. MORAL OF THE STORY? ALWAYS BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR."
Adam_Walker - Well, someone got a bit too complacent for his own good, even being so foolish as to give HABIT ideas on how best to break him...Ideas that he was more than happy to bring to life, whether Adam liked it or not. Poor little guy didn't realize just how fucked he was 'til it was already too late...
Percival__ - Our researcher friend unfortunately found himself in a situation much more terrifying than he ever could have anticipated. Stalked, hunted through the woods by a monstrosity beyond human comprehension. Tortured, bruised and battered, ribs and wrist broken, an arm hacked off and devoured before his very eyes...But alive, recovering from the physical and mental trauma of the ordeal...For now.
Snellie - Looks like Snellie here got in trouble with some loan sharks, even though he never actually took out a loan. Some bullshit scam that lead to him getting his shit rocked in all manner of ways. The good news is, he just so happened to run into HABIT, who felt inspired to intervene, in his own special, exceedingly violent way. The bad news? Weeeell...They've since kinda decided that he's just too prone to trouble for his own good and, thus, is in dire need of their protection...Which just so happens to involve slurping him up and/or indefinitely keeping him in their gut...Which he doesn't seem to object to, quite the opposite, actually, so maybe that's also good news?
ChefsKiss - Bar-hopping and scouting for victims, HABIT came across Terry. A perfectly nice girl...who just so happens to be enthralled with the idea of ultimately winding up several cuts of meat on a chopping block. Unexpected, sure, but far from unwelcome!
Vida - Honestly, her only crime was being in his immediate vicinity, at a time where this Eldritch bastard decided to choose violence...And unfortunately for her, her torment didn't end at being devoured alive. Hours later, she found herself trapped in a pocket-dimension hellscape, once more at his mercy. However, there were two endings to this encounter. One played in her favor, with her managing to escape any further mangling and return to her world, whether by pure luck or, more likely, by the monstrosity's own whims. The other, much less so. Run clean through with a blade, limbs torn away, devoured alive in a most brutal of fashions, all for his own twisted amusement.
PlayerDakota - Many shenanigans, with many of his lads. Including Kota himself, who confuses the fuck out of Habs in so many ways, and gives really good scritches, apparently...He also apparently tastes good and is incredibly comfortable to lay on, so extra bonus points, there.
Sweet_Melanie and Adam_Jane - Moral of the story: sometimes, strange, but friendly guys you meet while lost in the woods who seem to have your best interest in mind...They actually don't. Not at all. Not even remotely. Even if they haven't necessarily decided whether or not they wanna kill you, it can't be good. And just because a loved one comes looking for you doesn't mean either of you are getting outta this situation unscathed.

◉ Pregnancy. I have tokophobia, so themes regarding pregnancy and pregnant characters really squick me out. Closest thing I can do is oviposition, oddly enough.
◉ Scat. Not interested in anything involving shit.
◉ Ridiculous bodily proportions. Particularly, hyper-anything and extremely, exaggeratedly overweight or muscular characters. All body types are welcome, as long as the proportions are close enough to reality.
◉ Casual Vore. More specifically, settings in which vore is seen as a known, normal and/or acceptable thing. These don't interest me at all, I seriously can't stand them. I enjoy vore as a horror trope more than anything else - even if the prey in question is willing and/or, in certain cases, walks away from the encounter physically unscathed. That aspect becomes completely moot in these types of scenarios.
◉ Racism, homophobia, transphobia, just bigotry in general. Don't you dare bring that shit to my door.
◉ Impatience. A friendly reminder here and there is fine, but I'll say it upfront, we're most likely not gonna get along if you're the type of person to badger people for threads/replies, make a big deal about post times, any of that shit. It's difficult to actively enjoy writing a thread if the other person's constantly breathing down your neck.
