Most legends are stories told of warriors long past for their heroic achievements, honorable deaths in combat, or prose for inspiring others. For those that have the honor of living while their legend continues, it can be equally disasterous given the context.

Lonamer Soth was that atypical hero. From humble beginnings in a meager village to advance in ranks of lowly soldier to great commander. Tomes written to help document his victories and glories. But now? They write for the terrible tale of his impossible decision.

Lonamer killed a chief deity he was sworn to protect.

The somber tale describes Lon on the run with the goddess in tow as the army of a competing deity sought to slay and absorb her power for their own ends. Ultimately, they ended up cornered in the wilderness with his Lady making the most bizarre of comments to him. Forgiving him for what must be done. He didn't understand until the moment prior. As he ran his blade through her chest, thus preventing her from being captured and used.

The world mourned the loss of their beloved goddess. The enemy captured and tortured Lonamer for months before the pantheon for good could free him. And even then, he was brought before the Celestial Court for his crime of deicide. Ultimately, he was found innocent due to the circumstances and advocy of Kakabel to defend him, an angel that served the deceased goddess... And yet social punishment has become his life, for how do you forgive someone that slew your god?

Defeated in more way than one, he abandoned his post and departed from his kingdom to wander. To atone for a sin he was pardoned from, yet guilty to his core all the same.
