Background:
In the invisible ebb and flow of magic throughout the universe, arcane energy tends to pool and mix with physical energy, attracted like a shadow to an object, mirroring the impact of real phenomenon on the astral plane. And there are very few greater sources of energy than that of stars, those giant, churning engines of fire that dot the night sky like candles. Within each star is a core that pulses with mana, and if that heavenly body has had enough eons to grow and refine that core, by the end of its life it will have a seed, an egg of pure magical potential. In these rare cases, when the oldest and wisest of stars go super nova, the explosion results in a swirling maelstrom of raw elements that surge together to form an truly monumental life form: a Celestial Progeny.

These children of the stars resemble humans in many ways, only inconceivably larger. Entire nations from Earth can fit in the palms of their hands. Their skin extends to a depth 38 kilometers (24 miles), comparable to the Earth's crust's depth of 35 kilometers. They are, in a word, enormous. And Nova is no exception, though she is on the small side for her race. But then again she's unusual in a number of ways. For one thing, she has a distinctly vulpine tail and ears, though this is not entirely unheard of; some Celestial Progeny adapt features of animal races when they are forged. The main oddity Nova exhibits, is that she's curious. Whereas most beings her size find it difficult to care about the insignificantly tiny concerns of humans, Nova finds them fascinating, how they struggle to survive despite having such unfathomably short lifetimes. She is the least likely of the Celestial Progeny to simply ignore or wipe out a civilization that tries to call her body home.

Nova herself is older than the entire human race, having existed before the Earth had even come together from the cloud of stardust that would eventually create the rocky planet. She is still considered young for Celestial Progeny, but relatively, an entire human's life is less than a drop in the near endless sea of her life span. That, combined with her size, tend to make her largely unconcerned with the little folk beyond satisfying her curiosity and providing entertainment in the dull expanse of space. But sometimes, when the lonely void is too quiet for too long, she does look for more personal relationships amongst the tiny beings that live on her body, whether it be friendship, worship, or even romance.

Life amongst the stars can be a lonely one, but Nova is not without loved ones. She has a smaller sister whom she loves dearly, though the two of them are as different as night and day. Whereas Resplendent Nova is a being of life and shelter, a sanctuary to those who would make her their habitat, her younger sibling Kali (Dark_Depths, not played by same player) is the embodiment of pure destruction, undoing all that is in the face of her insatiable appetite. Nova knows her sister can never be appeased, but she does her best to keep Kali happy, rubbing her tummy with her avatars and singing soothingly in her ears. Kali returns the favor by only nibbling on her tail and not eating her. <3

In addition to her younger sister, Nova also has a much, much older sister, the ancient Ishvara who wiser and more powerful than Nova could ever hope to be. Ishvara tends to be more interested in whole civilizations than Nova, who prefers to focus on individuals that catch her attention. They've played a few games of Galactic Imperium together, but Ishvara always wins because Nova is too busy spending time with the little people rather than leading them to victory. Of course this means that the civilization she had come to know gets wiped out by Ishvara's superior side by the end of it, and this usually leads to several millennium of Nova not speaking to her while she pouts. But she does love her sister very much, and adores the chance to speak to her and spend time together whenever they can.

Abilities
Gravity: Nova is so massive that she has her own gravitational field. Humans standing on her skin find that their weight changes as they move across her body, feeling nearly half as light as normal when standing on her hands and feet. On her torso the gravity is greater, maxing out around 90% of that on Earth.

Atmosphere: Thanks to her gravitational pull, Nova is able to maintain a breathable atmosphere that extends to about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from her skin. It is high in oxygen and nitrogen, with remarkably small amounts of carbon dioxide. The gases around her aren't heated through any greenhouse effect, but rather warmed by thermal radiation from her skin. She's still warmer on her day side and colder on night side though.

Magic: Nova is a being of magic, it flows in her blood and pools in her eyes. She is very much alive and organic, and yet is something more entirely. Manipulating the power of the astral plane is as natural to her as basking in the sun to absorb energy. She can perform acts of innate magical manifestation that many would consider miraculous, though more advanced or technical applications can be very draining.

Avatars: One of Nova's natural uses of magic is to create projections of herself, smaller replicas that can walk her body and easier interact with the beings that might take up refuge there. These span from mile tall clones to six foot tall ones, but one common element is that they are not separate beings from Nova. They are embodiments of her being, incarnations of her will, and though some of them may display different elements or perspectives of her vast, incomprehensible personality, they are all decidedly still her. Note that her avatars can be used as an arcane link to her real body, but doing so risks exposing the magician to the pure magical expanse that makes up her being... It's usually not a good idea.

Enjoys (These aren't all necessary, just things I enjoy)
*Being explored- Let me spin a fantastical living landscape around you!
*Being huge- Beyond the obvious, I love being described as immense, having the size difference emphasized.
*Being adored/worshiped- I love the idea of being a planetary goddess, along with my smaller avatars. <3
*Creative partners- It's much more fun when both sides bring things to the table!
*Descriptive partners- Can never write too much, in my opinion. Better to overwhelm with details than bore with brevity. If you frequently write more than your partners, I'd love to meet you. <3
*Interesting plots/stories- Fetish and kink gratification can be fun, but without content it grows stale fast.
*Bodily smells- Part of being descriptive and immersive, and yet so often overlooked. Doesn't have to come into play.
*Footplay- Love it at any size. :3
*Sizeplay- Macro/micro interactions are always delightful!
*Lots more! Feel free to ask. ^_~

Dislikes
*Lazy partners- At least 4-5 lines. I reserve the right to end an RP if responses are too short.
*Poor grammar/spelling- Not overly picky, but at least put some effort in. Use novel writing: quotation marks for dialog, not asterisks for actions.
*Absurd RP ideas- I love creativity, but please try to get a feel for what this character's about. No, I don't want to have sex with a planet-sized you. No, I don't want to play volleyball with other living planets... >.>
*Inane opening messages- Yes... thank you, I noticed she's big. :P
*Surprise departures- I don't mind if you have to go, so long as we can continue later. But at least have the courtesy to let me know, please.

RP Ideas (Will update more with new ideas, feel free to make suggestions!)
The Colony: (courtesy of LittleMissMacro) A long-traveled settlement ship comes across the sleeping form of Resplendent Nova, and whether through desperation or lack of options, sets down somewhere on her body to establish a colony. She wakes up to find them, and then things really get interesting. Has plenty of options for all sorts of preferences, especially with tailored avatars. Does require playing NPCs, but focusing on one important character is acceptable and even preferred. <3

The Wayward Army: (courtesy of Colonel_Joseph) Similar to the Colony, this idea centers around a military unit (of variable size) that comes across Nova, either deciding to conquer her or set up a base of operations on her body. This varies from the Colony in that it focuses more on the danger of living on Nova, rather than the trials of building a society.

The Tribe: (courtesy of Little_Tiny) A primitive civilization living somewhere on Nova's body doesn't know about her existence or the true nature of their world. This could be for Nova either an annoyance (requiring her to rectify the situation), a source of curiosity (warranting her to investigate further), or possibly a challenge (motivating her to win them over).

The Survivors: A natural disaster (or possibly Nova's hungry sister Kali) threatens an entire planet, ensuring the extinction of an entire race that lives on it. Nova, however, can lessen the tragedy of such a loss by taking some or all of the sentient beings (and maybe animals as well) from the world before it is destroyed. This idea focuses on the sudden revelation as the refugees are transferred to Nova's body, and on how they cope with the loss of their planet as she guides them through the troubling times.

The Miners: (courtesy of Magical_Mindy) The Terran Empire (or whatever political group) needs resources, and a traveling mining operation comes across Nova on an expedition for a new site. They land and set up camp to start stripping away her body, much to her annoyance. This idea is a good way to witness the destructive force of a planet protecting herself, though it can be gentle if she decides to dispatch an avatar to communicate with the mining crew. She might wipe them out, or punish them for their arrogance.
