It isn't something that she actively thinks about, just as everyone else in her community doesn't really think too much about it. Granted, the news broadcasts each occurance to keep the public aware. She's even ran into him a couple of times though indirectly. More of an observer in passing than a formal meet and greet. Who is he and what thoughts does she occassionally fret about? That would be the consideration of her local predator. On Urth, predators are a infintismally small portion of the population. A few thousand around the world total. Everyone else? Pretty much at the complete and utter mercy of these scant few, god-like beings. And yet.. Most people don't really worry about it, just like Kristen doesn't. The predators aren't out to rule or consume all of Humanity in one go. Why pig out when one can raise cattle and have a steady food supply?

And that's exactly why Kristen doesn't worry about it. The chances of being devoured by her local predator after 30 years of life already? Pretty darn slim. And its with that fact that she has presevered, followed through with various life goals and acts of entertainment. Life lived to the fullest! For either she will live a long life and die of old age, or be downed into some indomitable super-beings gut.
