Jin

"Why are you staring at us that way. We have no business with you. Some of us already want you gone, and the rest will agree, if you keep ogling like that..."

tl;dr: a massive, eighteen-foot-tall collective that currently consists of 453 smaller entities. said entities get along well enough to form a singular consciousness and body, which has taken to calling itself (or rather, herself) 'Jin'. she comes from another dimension entirely, having been unceremoniously dumped here alongside several others from her world. suffice it to say that she's a pretty strange and out-of-place creature, appearing more like an animate fortress than anything truly living-- but Jin wants very much to be treated respectfully, and those who perceive her as soulless or incapable of sentient thought will find themselves proven wrong in a most unpleasant manner.

in truth, she is as alive and self-aware as anyone else. the minds that comprise Jin have long since bonded to form a fairly stable personality: she is reserved, hardly caring for company when she essentially provides her own, and in conversation her stoic, blunt attitude can be jarring to deal with (assuming her hundreds of glowing eyes don't scare people away first). that said, she has her vulnerabilities. the girl isn't entirely as harsh and unapproachable as her appearance belies, and it is possible to earn a rare smile from her with the right words.

if you're not careful, however...

❖ Jin vaguely associates herself with the group of Ultra Beasts that were stranded on Earth alongside her: Xiaoli, Washi, Nairee, Nollie, Bakenhonsu, Spriha, Gilren, and Vance. She doesn't consider them friends, but they're the closest thing she has outside of, well... herself.

❖ Shapeshifting is a common practice for her, even if she prefers the humanoid form her components worked together to design. Pieces of Jin's body can detach and carry out tasks independent of the rest of her, and she can easily disguise herself as an actual wall or building, among other things. None of this is ever a hindrance to her; after all, she technically has several hundred individuals making up her odd little hive-mind, and each of them can act on their own.

❖ Jin's state of being is not without its drawbacks, however. It can occasionally take a while for her collective consciousness to come to a consensus, and she will 'zone out' until they're done arguing about the decision at hand. Additionally, if she's somehow disoriented, dazed, or otherwise mentally impeded, the collective will fall into disarray. Poor Jin will very literally fall apart if someone messes with her head enough.

❖ Every single individual within Jin is considered equally and extraordinarily valuable. Attempting to part even one of them from the gestalt will be met with extremely vicious and swift retribution-- and it goes without saying that harming one means you're as good as dead. Conversely, every addition to her brings great bliss and is treated as a cause for celebration. Nothing else seems to excite her on the same level, which highlights just how much she adores all her components for letting her exist as 'Jin'.

Never/Dislike She's an eighteen foot tall pile of rocks. Why would you eat that. Why would you even try. [ Pred only, even in the case that somebody actually would want to do something that stupid. ]

Never/Dislike Interestingly, instead of purely processing larger meals for fuel, Jin will usually compress their melted remains and infuse them with her energy to create another small, sentient 'block' to add to her collective. This makes her very happy and will not affect your character in any permanent way (their soul is not taken, and the new entity is only 'them' in that it was made from their body), but can be left out if it's disliked.

Never/Dislike Jin has very precise control over her body and can easily keep someone safely contained within herself for as long as she fancies, whether it be as a guest or as a prisoner.

Never/Dislike Being eaten by Jin is... an experience. An often traumatizing, uncomfortable experience that will probably leave even 'safe' cargo with a few bruises. Did you think being swallowed by a golem would be cozy?
