Despite touting itself as a wonderful region for people and pokemorphs alike, Oasah couldn't be further from a true paradise. And yet, the one shining beacon of light in the otherwise dystopian region was the rune heroes, a group of eight pokemorphs destined to bring peace to the region and all those who inhabit it. ...Of course, that was the intent. In practice, few of the rune heroes actually turned out to be heroic at all, most of them falling to corruption in one way or another. Jera happened to be one of the few that actually stayed true to her initial goal, doing her absolute best to remain pure and save the lives of those around her, at the expense of her own health. Despite her best efforts, most of her work was overshadowed time and time again by Uruzi, who had become the face of Oasah while Jera's efforts barely reached beyond the waters of Iridien.
To aid her in her heroic efforts, Jera was blessed with the ability to manipulate time, though the power ended up being a curse as much as it was a blessing. Able to speed up her own body to ludicrous levels, the energy she needed to exert often ended up exhausting her, with higher speeds taking more and more out of her at much quicker rates. Her ability to freeze time could only last for mere seconds, and put her at a major disadvantage by the time it wore off. To compensate for her limited potential, she also possessed the ability to travel backwards in time, though this proved to be just as crippling. Every time she used such an ability, she would create a copy of herself, and her time paradox copies were always doomed to die to fix the anomaly. Having watched clones of herself dying over and over again had taken its toll on her mind, filling her with endless anxiety that one day, she would succumb to the same fate. And after watching it happen so frequently... well, it was only a matter of time.
