Created to replace Snow, who their Master considered to be defective, Ice quickly became over-protective of the girl who was supposed to be her meal, and took her in as an adopted daughter, despite the two technically being sisters. This angered their Master, who sought to destroy the traitorous fairies, but Fire returned from her supposed to death, and saved the sisterhood. But with the Master's minions pursuing them, the sisters were forced to split up, with Ice taking Snow and moving to the only place the two would be comfortable: what the humans call Antarctica.
Like Snow, Ice's body is freezing cold at all times, and like her daughter, too much heat makes Ice deathly ill. That's where the similarities between the two end, however, as Ice is quite the opposite of Snow personality-wise. She is harsh and unfeeling towards anyone other than Snow, unafraid to hurt anyone, even her own sisters, in order to protect the little fairy. She is not an especially powerful in terms of magic, despite being quite the voracious hunter, as she is constantly transferring most of her magic over to Snow in order to keep her healthy. Ice is also the most wordily of the sisters, having managed to blend in to human society at one point when she was forced to give up her magic to hide from the Master's Hunters, and thus had no way to feed Snow.
