Seemingly, at first, a young boy growing up around Paris, Hyacinthe would've seemed a normal, if... maybe small? Wimpy? Little boy. And had his course kept to what it should've been?... He would've. Sometimes, fate has other ideas. Sent as a foreign exchange student early in high school, and learning it was such a long-term program he might spend his whole term there... at first it sounded like a dream! Nerd as he was, he grew up watching anime, reading manga, even seeing what his native country made of the same kind. Gaming, anime... You'd think just, normal nerdy things. But he... sometimes had shameful little sides to that. There were more than a few times he had to hide copies of magical girl manga from his older brother to avoid teasing. Or that one time he was such a fan of one of the girls in a show that he... he sort of dressed like her without reaslizing it - it was a tomboyish look, nobody would notice, right? But. But here, he had soon learned how much cuteness was... sort of, part of what happened. Advertising. Shows made just to be adorable. Slowly, Hyacinthe started... wondering. Thinking. Was it really that bad? Was it something he was supposed to hide from his family and friends? ... He looked up to those magical girls. Those animated idol singers, those soft highschool girls living their fun little lives giggling and smiling. Something felt right about it. What if he just. Just... Yes. A few days into first year, first year of highschool in a foreign country, Hyacinthe started small. Hairpins. A little kitty charm on his phone chain. By the time anyone noticed? He was already starting to grow out his hair, wear little ribbons. It got strange, he couldn't tell you all of what happened - girls, boys, helping him and seeming thrilled to have a 'doll' to dress up for the first time. School officials looking the other way and nobody knowing why. By only a few months in, Hyacinthe Marche was, to anyone that looked, a cute schoolgirl like any other. ...Like his heroines.
