Gabu

Gabu is the adopted son of Doru. He is a Gabumon, though one might notice that his fur is not the traditional Garurumon-like pelt that all Gabumons tend to have, but the pelt of a Dorumon. It does not change up any of his attacks at all.


Gabu's fur comes from being raised by Doru. As a Digi-Egg, he found himself on the property of the “Garuru Tavern”. Whether someone brought the egg and forgot about it, it got dropped off somewhere, or wound up there through some other means is anybody's guess. Regardless of how it happened, Doru stumbled on the egg while he was preparing ingredients for the day in his kitchen. Such a rare ingredient enticed Doru; he could make a unique breakfast using the egg of a Digimon, something rarely seen outside of the Primary Village or a Digimon nest. However, the Dorumon decided to go against his desire and decided to let it hatch.

One day, as Doru was preparing some food, he cut his paw. It was then that the egg started shaking. No time to wrap up his wound, he rushed to the egg's side to check up on it and placed his paw upon it. The egg hatched into an ordinary Punimon, and within a day of being fed, the Digimon evolved into a Tsunomon. The Tsunomon didn't talk much, but it showed an interest in Doru as he cooked for his patrons. His eyes widened in wonder and an “Oooooo~” exited his lips every time Doru cooked something. Doru decided to use the chance to teach Tsunomon how to cook, though Tsunomon couldn't do much without arms and legs. Soon Tsunomon evolved into his Rookie-level stage, and it was then that Doru was in for his biggest surprise yet.

A Gabumon appeared, as expected, but he was a bit strange. His fur was not the blue and white of a Garurumon, but the purple and white of a Dorumon. Doru could only surmise that it was a result of his DNA getting mixed in Gabumon's own when he touched the hatching egg with a bloody paw. He named the Gabumon “Gabu” and took him under his win. Gabu got the hang of things quickly due to watching Doru so intensely as a Tsunomon, and the added limbs meant that now how he could help Doru around the kitchen. Within a few months, Gabu had become Doru's devoted assistant, helping Doru serve his patrons and cook up the tastiest dishes.


Gabu's abilities are a mix of physical strength and shooting blue ice-like flames from his mouth. He helps Doru with the heavy lifting.

Currently he has no Tamer and there is no Digivice linked to him, so it's unclear how he would react to either. It is presumed that if he were to Digivolve into a Garurumon, his fur pattern would resemble a purple Garurumon.

He may or may not possess the X-Antibody due Doru's DNA being mixed in with his.


OOC Note: Even though Gabu is Doru's son, he is played by a different player. Please do not ask me to play with Doru, as Doru is not my character. However, Doru's player has been given permission to use Gabu in any of his scenes, stories, or pics as he sees fit, so you may ask Doru if you can play with Gabu.
