Sorry for the lack of a simplified 'tl;dr' version~ The story was an impulse descision

His existence is due to his former counterpart KittyTheGreat's past. We'll start from there.

His birth, and life before the escape.
As a newborn kitten KittyTheGreat was taken from his parents, quick as he was brought into the world was he also taken away and brought into another.
The people that took him from a form of organization, they had caught wind of a werecat child with regenerative abilities
These abilities were made apparent during childbirth, the doctor his handling his newborn self and was injecting him with some essential medicine.
The medicine designed to lock his shifting. It is standard issue for any kind of were-animal, making sure they can't shift until they are atleast eight years old.

The entry wound from the needle seemed to have closed up in a matter of seconds. Catching the doctors curiosity, being a an anthro-leopard they unsheathed a claw and cut him.
His cut had begun closing yet again after a few short seconds. Because of this the doctor quickly informed their superior.
Because of this odd discovery they had spread word with the doctors, one of them being from the organization.
This particular doctor immediately spread word to the organization, being one that commonly hunts down oddities like this werecat.
It just so happens that a being with regenerative abilities would be perfect, giving them the chance to test things most beings would perish from
An indestructable test dummy of sorts, one they can raise from scratch and do as they please with.

Because of this KittyTheGreat was put through many many ordeals as he grew up, taking hits from weapons to help test them. Having various chemical and bio-weapons tested on him.
Even using viruses and diseases to see how they affect him, quickly finding out his body can fight off and kill even a strain of cancer-cells. Even furthering their research over time with his help, making him live through many years as a test subject.

Leaving him as a broken shell of a boy by the age of 12, fairly depressed alot of the time while quick to snap. Mischevious and willing to play dirty tricks on the people around him.
Your general problematic teen trying to cope with his problems by projecting them onto other people.

It wasn't all bad though, there were young people in their teens to mid twenties hired to help.
One in particular being a wererabbit named ruby, a woman around twenty two or so. She had taken a liking to him as he did her.
This girl becoming one of the few his personality would take a complete 180 when around, because of this she was made to be around him alot of the time
Making her almost like the mother or older sister he'd never had before.

The Escape
A year later he had reached the young age of thirteen, a miracle of sorts seemed to have happened. The alarms went off and his cell door clicked open.
Seeing this he didn't hesitate to jump out of bed, opening the door and looking out and around. Seeing the panic as the many subjects around him try to escape.
It takes him a moment but he notices there are unfamuiliar people with guns, fighting the lab workers and assistants. One of these people being his mother figure, ruby.
He never knew it but it turns out this woman was part of a rival group, secretly working in as a caretaker for her group. Being a form of activist freedom fighting group.
Due to this it seems they'd finally managed to free the subjects, taking down alot of the labs workforce.

Already on their way to stealing the research for themselves and deleting it off the labs servers.
When KittyTheGreat realizes what is going on, he runs over to Ruby. Trying to stick by her, only to be told not to stick around.
Trusting that they'll meet up later on, he turns tail and runs. Making use of a mark on his wrist he'd acquired as a side effect of the testing.
One that is summed up as a 'Magic absorbing and body reforming tattoo' one that he'd learned to teleport with, allowing him to blink around theorugh the building on his escape.

While on the run he is suddenly shot in the leg, looking back only to see the labs elite security force giving chase.
Because of this he is made to limp for a moment, feeling the bullet get pushed out as his leg heals. He is nearly grabbed, but manages to teleport further.
Finding himself in a room with a portal, it seems to have been untested. Or have been in the process of testing with this whole event began.

Not wanting to stick around and get caught by the security, he looks back as they flood through the door. Cornering him as he has his back to the portal
He manages to take a few off guard with his latent ice-magic, making them slip as the room fills with some gale force strength winds of freezing air.
Despite this, one of the workers powers through and makes a run for him.
Being quickly met by the feeling of something running up their front, the catboy using some athletic skills to freerun up the soldiers body.
Letting off a powerful kick to the face as to launch himself forward, pulling a flip into the unstable portal.

Arrival in the nexus
Due to that unstable portal not having any coherent coordinates, it had sent him someplace without a rhyme or reason.
This place being the place we all know and love, the world known as the nexus. Where worlds collide and anything and everything can and will happen.
Though there was one problem, the portal scrambled his dna on the way through. Forcing his regenerative properties to fix him up.
Leaving the young catboy in the dark night of the forest, unconcious and without any memories of his past.
A broken soul aswell as a scrambled but slowly regenerading mind, and only a plastic wristband with his serial number on it as a memento of his past.

When the boy had finally woken up, he'd had no recollection of who he was. Or why he was in the place where he was. No knowledge of what the mark on his wrist is
Or even the simple question as to his species. Because of this he ended up living his life in the forest. Having found a cave that extended deep underground.
Very safe and isolated from the rest of the people around, he lived in this cave for three whole years.
These years making it apparent he doesn't age, the lab having been manually aging him each year due to the side effect of an expiriment they'd tried on him.
These years he'd lived off food he stole from all around, snatched from people in the park.
Taken straight from the display in a bakery, or even just grabbed from the fridge in a grocery store. Each time managing to escape due to his natural agility.

This particular boy had started calling himself Kitty, having heard more then a few people call him it. He'd assumed it was his name and stuck by it.
Being a whole new cheerful playful and all around energetic catboy, the polar opposite of what he had been before falling through the portal.
Though the trauma he'd had before didn't just disappear like magic, it had to go somewhere or have some effect.
This effect manifesting in the 'Split Personality' he had, being the only other person he consistently talked to for the three years.
A voice in his head always suggesting he to bad or otherwise illegal things, burn a tree steal a car eat a squirrel. Stuff like that.
This voice took a liking to the name 'Feral' living along side Kitty as the second 'Evil' concience of sorts.

The birth of Feral and Kitty the twins
Fast forward two more years and Kitty has become a well known being, hanging around in the park and having quite a bit of friends.
An amazing treehouse house to call home, given to him by Blizzare and Magical_Mindy's younger self.
Owning an entire roster of abilities he had aquired over his time in the nexus.
Meanwhile he'd taken to calling himself Kitty the great mighty adventurer, your friendly neighborhood werecat
Alot of it can be considered childish boasting, but he isn't a liar. He actually does frequently go on long adventures. The great mighty part is up to you

Due to an event with his girlfriend Lumina of the Nerdsune_Twins him and Feral were temporarily split into two.
Having two seperate bodies and being able to do as they please, during this time period though. KittyTheGreat had gotten very unlucky.
Running into the being known as Abyss_Star getting caught by her and eaten, this wouldn't have been too unusual. Except for one detail.
The starfish creature was able to keep his reformation tattoo from working, effectively keeping him from reviving and trapping his soul in her body.
Leaving Feral to fend for himself, imbued with KittyTheGreat's lefover magic that had escaped and ran to him.

Because of this Feral ended up living on his own for about a month, developing as a person and making his own friends. Living through several events of his own.
Later finding out that the starfish creature had been eaten, forced to let KittyTheGreat out. Having no voice for a while due to the ordeal breaking his already broken soul further.
KittyTheGreat's soul not being fuced until later on, having to learn to be closer to his soul. Learning to venture the other realms and control his astral form.
Eventually having finally fixed his five years overdue broken soul with these teachings.

In the end Feral had gotten past his former 'Evil' connotations, becoming a rather kind soul. The more mature calm and collected of the two.
Working as the waiter at restaurant for Macros Micros and everything inbetween. All while seldom making appearances at the park, or at KittyTheGreat's treehouse.
Having had enough of the place and decided to live elsewhere, going on adventures in his freetime. While keeping up a more 'traditional' like living in an apartment in a town
Even ending up taking up a job as a house sitter for Hazel_ at the request of Magical_Mindy for an underermined amount of time.

1: Fairly advanced Pyromancy and intermediate Cryomancy

2: Due to him absorbing a form solid dark magic, he has learned to use Dark Magic. ( Able to make use od the sturdy solid material it had taken the form of. )
--1: Using the dark material, he can make an odd creature appear and fight for him.

--2: Can enter and exit shadows at will, aswell as travel through them as if they are connected.

3: Adaptive Healing factor
( He retains the healing factor KittyTheGreat was born with, allowing him to heal wounds in a short time. )

4: Abilities carried over from when KittyTheGreat absorbed the snake rune.
--1: Stretchily durable entrances and insides.
( Able to vore things of unusual size from any possible entrance without being physically harmed )
--2: Snake-Eyes
( Able to see heat signatures and such if he chose to )

5: Intermediate forms of Wind and Electricity magic, carried over from Kitty.

6: Blink teleportation

7: Calling/Transportation: He can search the nexus for an item or just about tanything he may want, and as long as it exists someplace. He can spawn or teleport it to his location.


8: Were-Shifting, can be one of three different appearances at will.
He has learned to tap into his more 'savage' werecat abilities, gaining increased overall strength and speed.
Because of this he can lengthen his teeth and claws, his claws being very durable and sharp when he taps into the 'savage' werecat.
( this idea inspired by traditional savage and brutish werewolves that come to mind when the term 'were' is used )
