Emil is a very odd individual. He was a squire under a knight that practically adopted him after believing whatever parents he had were dead. Turned out that knight was a knight under the Goddess Selune, the Moonmaiden, and upon his sacrifice during a raid on their town, Emil inherited his blade. His greatsword is the legacy he carries, a blade of countless generations, under the watchful eye of Selune. Unknown to him, a curse plagues his lineage. If one actually wants to learn more, it's better to discover it through interaction than to read it here since I know it bores people.

Physically, he can be described as young looking. He is 15, yet holds a more youthful body. Though he is pretty muscletoned, but most of his strength for a lot of what he does comes from more of an inner magical source. That source still has yet to be determined. He has short, somewhat kempt black hair with a signature stray hair. His eyes are sort of an odd, turquoise color with a slight glow to them in darkened areas. His skin sort more on the pale side than it is the tan side. His voice is somewhat light but still at a decent level of masculinity at his age. His adamantine armor is colored a silver color and includes all the metallic pieces of his armor. Other than those bits, he has a lot of leather and black/gray cloth. His cape is a bright, vibrant blue yet holds the tatter of age and use. He rarely dons his helm, though when he does it appears in a flash of moon energy. The markings on its face are black while most of it is silver. Outside his armor, he can usually be seen in a pair of black trousers, black leather boots, and a silver tunic with a leather vest and hood with the symbol of Selune on the front. His entire wardrobe can be switched out via moon magic, as well as things such as his sword. Though at times he enjoys to keep his sword sheathed, mostly when he wants to keep possible hostiles away without even confronting them.

Personality wise, he is as friendly and noble as can be but does his best to keep his wits about him. He doesn't throw caution to the wind at all, considering he has not had a great time in the past. The best he can be described as is chaotic good, though he tries to kill as a dead last resort, seeing it as something that only must be done if truly necessary. Emil isn't really shy either, being pretty outgoing. Though part of his inspiration as a character is actually Guts, so he does have a sort of serious attitude towards things that really need it.

Abilities

Weapon Proficiency - As a boy trained by a knight, he has profiency in most simple and martial weapons. He specializes in greatweapons, able to wield his own greatsword in one hand.

Enhanced Physical Attributes - Due to both training and infusion from magic, Emil is has higher than average strength, dexterity, and constitution.

Adept Moonlight Magic - Emil, due to the magic infusion, has grown to be adept in utilizing a special variation of magic called Moolight magic. This is magic based around more "force" and esoteric magic.

Phantom Hand - Using Selune's infused magic in him, also dubbed 'moon magic', he can do many things. One of his more common uses is to make a small to large, turquoise hand of translucent, wispy magic.

Blink - Emil is able to ue the infusion of magic to blink to a spot within 30 feet that he can see. It has a small cooldown of three seconds unless charged.

Greatsword Transformation - Emil's greatsword has a transformation that happens when he lets it channel its own energy. The blade is engulfed in a larger version of the blade made entirely out of solid energy.

Intermediate Lightning Magic - He has intermediate level skills with lightning magic, which can be improved through training. He can cast basic, low level lightning spells.

Intermediate Fire Magic - He has intermediate level skills with fire magic, which can be improved through training. He can cast basic, low level fire spells.

The Black Flame - Something Emil has barely any control over, but it seems to flare with emotions. So far it just boosts his physical stuff by quite a bit. Strength, endurance, speed, agility, all of it. And the flames that encase his sword burn cold, and will even hurt the soul as well as body if they strike well enough.

Weaknesses

Antimagic - Anti-magic areas and fields weaken Emil heavily, sometimes even stripping him of his infusion temporarily if strong enough.

Young - Emil's young age can be a disadvantage all in itself. People may not take him seriously or not really listen to him if they are that judgemental.

Failure Not An Option - When Emil fails, or a group fails, he will take it personally as he likes to take the head of things. If there are casualties, he blames himself. Which shows that emotionally, Emil is not perfect.

For a fighting style, think Cloud from FF7 mixed with Guts from Berserk.
