Eir

Eir was born in the Scottish Loch A'an, Where she grew up as a rather shy young mermaid, together with parents. Living a rather simple life of mostly eating fish, and stealing things from tourist, but avoiding to be seen,this life could have continued for ever.

Though during a day when the young mermaid had been out to see if she could steal some tasty snacks, she had been spotted by tourist, and it diden't take long for the rumor to spread about the mermaids in the loch.

This lead to both curious tourist to arrive, but of course predators, hoping to catch the mermaids as dinner, and only after two weeks Eir had lost both her mother and father from this, and it diden't take to long for the smal catfish mermaid to be catched herself.

Being somewhat lucky Eir escaped being eaten, and was instead sold to the Nexus zoo, where people could go and watch the curious speices and races out in the area.

Sharing her Aquarium with four other mermaids, Eir grew up in the zoo, spending most of her life inside the high walls of their aquarium, but in the end this was the life the mermaid started to like.

Having acces to almost all the food she wanted, and in some cases - extra snacks tossed in by visitors, the mermaid grew quite big, not to mention that her immense apetité followed in suit, and it diden't take long untill one of the other mermaids tails was last seen trashing outside the black lips of the Catfish.

This event lead to Eir getting the large iron collar, after the mermaid had been rescued from her stomach, and also that she got her own smal aquarium. But being decolated from the others, the catfish spent most of her day sleeping instead, or staring at people outside the glas, and at onepoint it was decided that she would be sold to a rich collector, or in case none would be found - a Resturant.

Lucky for Eir, she was bought rather quickly by a mage , that wanted her as
a trophy, and something to show of for his visitors. Eir however saw this as her chanse to get away and had started to complain on the iron collar that it was in the way when she was eating things, and the young mage had helped her with unlocking it with a simple spell, something that quite fast lead to him being a squirming bulge in the mermaids tail, as she escaped down into a nearby river.

These days Eir slowly travels about in the nexus area, using lakes, rivers and other water bodies to get where she wants, but almost always returning to a smal cave she has, seeing she feels secure under the large rocks there.
