tl;dr: naive, yandere stalker dragon who loves cute little humans. gets baselessly attached to people who strike his interest and follows them around until they pay attention to him, while attempting to murder everyone who gets in the way. other monsters? fuck them. you're not allowed to fight anyone but him. or do anything with anyone but him. cuddling him will probably get you blown up, though, so basically you're just screwed. hopefully he doesn't like you! \o/---
Look, it's everyone's favorite monster, Bazelgeuse! ... hahahahah okay yeah that's a straight-up lie. He's nobody's favorite and everybody hates him.
But wait. Did you ever consider why Bazelgeuse is such a pain in the ass? Why he always obnoxiously interferes while Hunters are in the middle of fighting other monsters? Every individual case is different, no doubt, but for Eika, well... Eika wants attention.
It isn't just any attention he's after, though, and he doesn't crave it from just anyone; he wants affection in particular, and he likes it from people who impress him. Impressing an enormous murderdragon isn't all that easy to do, granted, but sufficient displays of skill and particularly pretty faces have won him over more than a handful of times. That isn't something that the average, sane person would actually want to accomplish, though. It usually happens on accident while he's watching from the skies, and just like that, he's smitten. It sounds cute on paper, sure! But from that point onward, he won't leave his chosen target alone. Ever.
See, Eika is... possessive, to put it very gently. When he takes a shine to a human (and it almost always is a human, though that isn't to say exceptions can't happen), he'll start chasing after them without any heed for courtesy or tact-- a statement that's especially true when he catches them spending time with anyone else. He gets pissed. If he likes you, then you're his, regardless of your opinion on the matter. ... and regardless of whether or not you even know who he is. Communication isn't Eika's strong suit, to say the least.
To be fair, if you do give him what he wants, he's honestly kind of a sweetheart. He just hates being ignored. He's quick to show passion and loves getting close with the object of his desires, which might not be so bad if he wasn't 12 feet tall and covered in volatile, explosive scales. Touching them cautiously won't set them off, mercifully, but if his emotions kick into high gear or too much pressure is applied, there's... probably going to be a mess. And then he'll be sad.
It's okay, though! In the end, Eika's a huge hypocrite-- demanding to be the center of someone's world but never offering them the same courtesy. He's pursued dozens of humans, and if he ends up losing one or two of them... yeah, he may get dejected, but there are always more out there. Besides, sometimes they won't so much as give him the time of day, and if that's how it has to be... well, he is a huge, carnivorous monster. You can fill in the blanks.
