Info

Shay as a human is not the steam engine. She is the operator of her locomotive counterpart, and she's linked with it. The locomotive is an extension of her body. Because of this, she is extremely strong and heavy. She weighs as much as her locomotive (160 tons), but it mysteriously doesn't affect her or her surroundings in any way.
She can feel when people touch her steam engine, and she's quite sensitive about it. Just try to avoid touching stuff that isn't meant to be touched, as in anything that's outside the cabin except for handles, steps, and hand rails.
She doesn't haul passengers, only lumber and ore. Strictly a freighter. There are exceptions, though.
She's quite the workaholic, and she loves her job. She's worked on the railroad for her entire life, and she's pretty much the sole individual keeping MD&C alive.
If you find her in a bar when she's off work, she'll probably be drunk. With some unfortunate lad drowning in alcohol inside her gut. Ask her what happened when she got drunk one night in 1899.
She does not know, even after 138 years, that a part of her soul is in her locomotive. Which is why she's linked with it. It could be anyone's guess why or how it happened in the first place.
Because of how old she is, she has outlived every single person that she grew up with. She seeks out new people to meet to fill the hole in her heart, but those people usually end up filling her belly instead...

Quirks

The quirkiest and most odd person you will ever meet.
-Doesn't care if people see her naked. But as soon as someone touches her, she completely loses it.
-Refuses headpats from anyone shorter than her, even those only slightly shorter.
-Don't flirt with her... just don't.

Backstory

Shay arrived in Nexus one day while running a train of iron ore. While running the heavy load across a bridge, it collapsed and she plummeted to the ground 70 feet below her. The fall and subsequent boiler explosion killed her, but she woke up in another timeline where she miraculously survived. In this timeline, she had been living in Nexus her entire life, and all her memories were from here. She had no recollection of her previous life, and she continued on living none the wiser. Until this moment, she had been pretty careful about staying away from others to avoid becoming their meal. But she now has the sudden urge to satisfy a hunger she didn't know she had, and it has worked to her advantage. 4 years after the accident, she had a new engine built for her, and she mysteriously became linked with her new Class C Shay. It's pretty much an extension of herself. She can feel it when people touch it, and she's kinda sensitive about it. When she eats, it adds fuel to the firebox in her engine. If her engine is destroyed, she dies. If she dies, a small town might get wiped off the map by her engine. She's been in Nexus for 141 years now, and the whole predator and prey thing has become a normal thing in her life. Lots of unfortunate individuals have found themselves in her gut, and have turned into fuel for her locomotive counterpart.

Scene idea 1: You meet Shay while she's on the railroad. Whether it be she's delivering freight, going to pick up freight, or just running her train for fun, She'll greet you with open arms. Until she gets hungry, then it's an open mouth.
Scene idea 2: Shay's in a bar, and she's had one too many drinks. And you happen to become her next meal while she's under a drunken stupor.
Scene idea 3: Steam punk post apocalypse scenario!!!!! (Idk, you fill in the rest)
Scene idea 4: Have you ever played "Void Train" before? Would make a great scenario for long term RPs!

Shay watched the sunset with Young_Ro before swallowing her, and she soon regretted her decision. But it was too late for her to spit her out. She was just too kind and sweet!
