∼Biography∽

All in all, Ai-Teru likes everyone to believe that she values peace over all things. This is true, in part-- she doesn't like to watch people fight one another and she doesn't like how exhausting war is. Long ago, she ended the tired war that was ravaging all of Alola by scattering her scales. It was exhausting exuding that many at once, but by simply giving them to all of Alola's people, she was able to finally put an end to the whole thing once and for all. The islanders were grateful to her and, though they still worshipped their own deities, they were all forced to acknowledge that they all owed a debt to the guardian they called Tapu Lele.

She was now held with high esteem on all islands, which granted her exactly what she wanted-- freedom to move freely between the islands and "play" how she wished. Ai loved to be the centre of attention and at the forefront of focus. This was known by many that called themselves her disciples, but was not at the forefront of anyone's minds during the war. True, they paid their dues and made their offerings to her, but she knew she wasn't really their focus and it removed all satisfaction from the rituals. Her entire motivation for action was born soley out of her own egocentric nature, but she played it off as it being only because of her benevolence in order to place herself in the focus of even more islanders.

While Ai's scales can be used to soothe and calm, if too many are given to any one individual, there are a number of adverse reactions that may take place. She has the ability to control which effect takes root in her victims, but typically prefers to sit back and watch as the madness takes place. Of course, her victims rarely live to tell any others about whatever their patron deity has done to them, and none believe that their sweet, adorable little island Guardian could possibly be capable of acts so sinister.
