Story:

In a fair stretch of the history of France, Knights did their part - either by fighting its enemies, or ruling the people. Tasks made easier by the retainers that ride under their shadow.

So it is that the Mitotsudaira clan, as part of its expanse of power, is surrounded by minor clans of retainers who have served them loyally for generations in all that is required of them... to assist in battle, outside it... or in occasion to fill a werewolf's belly for whatever reason - though they did not do the latter in abundance for practical reasons.

But when the Mitotsudaira one night suffered a massive purge carried out by the lone half-werewolf Nate_ Mitotsudaira who escaped soon after, the retainers inevitably faced the bulk of the survivors' wrath. It was to quell whatever question of weakness and assert their power over their retainers.

To ensure that their retainers stay in line, the Mitotsudaira struck against select clans and meticulously wiped them out. Adele was there that evening, but wouldn't have been if her mother hadn't forced her into a cottage.

It was a traumatic evening, and she listened - struck into silence in her terror - to the sound of fighting, and pleading, intermingled by loud gulps as the werewolves ate everyone.

Only once did she dare to open the door, very slightly... and could see the shadow of Nate_'s incredibly bodacious mother relaxing by the stove, digesting a number of very live prey.

Adele closed the door, and promptly fainted... only awoken when day had long since risen, and emerged from the cottage to find a massive heap of dung that used to be several of her clan members. In this pile lay a ring that just barely reached above the surface - it was her mother's.

Shocked and frightened, Adele stood there frozen for an hour before she finally went and packed what little she had left and made her escape - among her items was a family heirloom, a heavy lance that she had trained in the usage of.

And the only path she could take, was go and find the runaway Nate_. Adele was aware that the halfbreed was indirectly responsible for what befell her clan, but better her than those who were very directly responsible. The product of an unfair system that held the world in a vice.

So upon finding them, she soon joined PoC.

Description:

A bespectacled girl with blue eyes, and blonde hair that reach down to the nape and has fringes that unevenly cover her forehead. She wears a uniform like the others, but a bulkier one with extra accessories, such as armor that cover her neck and chin areas, and much longer skirt and sleeves - including a pair of heavy knee-high boots.

In contrast to a few of the others, Nate has no predatory aptitude, though a prey could possibly be squeezed down with some help and effort. On the other hand she is a close-quarter fighter gifted with astounding speed and mobility that allow her to effectively charge with her heavy lance. But as indicated by her choice of weapon... attacks only go one way.
