Sasha had a rough start to life when she was hatched to a red and gold dragon couple, they were so proud of the other hatchlings coming out shining like a shimmering sunset all red and gold, but when the final egg hatched, the parents were dismayed, both anthro parents looked on in disgust as a black tauric hatchling emerged and the parents raised her quite minimally, often letting her "Proper siblings" abuse and harrass her.
Finally they had enough and kicked her out, the poor dragonling having no one to turn to in the world. about a year on the streets and facing the horrors of the underworld, she grew under a bridge eating what she could find and growing until one day an old mage happened upon the starving dragonling, about 6 now, and offered her some food and a place to stay, in return she did various work for him, acting as a pack animal in town and such.
But this was more kindness than she had happened upon before, so she was happy. then one day the mage found out she had an aptitude for alteration and illusion magic and thus started to train her.
