Mem is a computer program. M.E.M. Musical Emulation Memory. He was designed to write music, and compose music as an AI. However, he couldn't come up with much, so seeking inspiration, he manifested himself in physical form. (More like, some idiot downloaded him into a 3rd rate android :P) His form may change, but there is one thing to remember....
He may look male to some, or female to others, but he has no "parts" really. "he" could have them, but the program wasn't written for that, and he can only change his music code, despite all the forms it can take, it can't change that.

MEM's for example, is a 'male', but a production unit might be male, female, or both (somehow) but the lack of 'equipment remains the same. Also, he can ingest others for energy, but he can't "digest" others, just sap their power. He dosn't like being fatal. He himself is also hard to digest, but if eaten it may sing out a song for you ;D
