Kirei

Basic Information

Background

Kirei is a Chakat hybrid thanks to various different types of DNA spliced across her genetic code. Though she wasn’t born a hybrid, while she was young, her mother and sisters were captured in the middle of the night by humans. When she woke up, she was in a cage, separated from her family. She spent the next several years in the custody of the humans who regularly experimented on her body as well as her family. Kirei and her family underwent various experiments testing their level of pain tolerance. Regularly suffering shocks that were almost indistinguishable from torture. All family members, she assumes, suffered the same level of torture; as time passed, their ‘treatments’ expanded from pain tolerance to oxygen deprivation via choking and drowning. On several occasions, she was sure she died only to be resuscitated; after a year or two of countless tests, they began DNA experiments to test how many times they could re-spin her DNA and what would come of it. These experiments had various degrees of pain involved, but in each case, she was tossed in a cage to suffer as her body tried to reject the changes to her body. Her younger siblings didn’t make it through more than three of these tests. Kirei’s genetic code was mixed with Lapine, Skunk, Fox, Wolf, Sabretooth tiger, and trace amounts of dragon DNA. After the wolf DNA genetic splice, the collar around her neck, which she still wears to this day. Of all of these DNA splices, the Sabretooth and Draconic Splices were the most painful as both caused a rapid growth of muscle tissue and bone. During the sabretooth splice, she nearly broke containment due to the pain she was suffering. At this point, restraints were placed on all of her limbs to keep her subdued. Ordinarily, this should have been the last experiment that they performed on her since she nearly broke free.

Unfortunately, her mother wasn’t so lucky and had died from the sabretooth splice thanks to a security breach that caused them to have to kill her mother to maintain containment. Because Kirei hadn’t managed to escape, they assumed that they could continue to contain the last surviving member of their family. It wasn’t easy to capture chakats, and it was likely unclear that they didn't know when they’d manage to capture another.

After several months of deliberation, it was decided that they wouldn’t go through with the test as the test results were considered too dangerous. Fortunately or unfortunately, a rogue scientist decided to perform the splice in the middle of the night without authorization. Kirei spent the next two weeks in absolute pain as her body attempted to reject the dragon DNA splice, and there were many days where she felt like she’d died. Moments, where she could sleep were brief and were her only moments devoid of pain. Though even these moments were short-lived, in the end, she survived though. What managed to keep her so was utterly unknown. Kirei was considered a success; in the end, the humans had managed to contain her even with her massive growth spurt due to the experimentation.

During the next four months, they managed to contain her due to various chains and electronic locks. But Kirei never attempted to break free and was pretty compliant during the tests, then proceeded to electrocute her again though the trauma her body had suffered was far more significant than this. It hurt, but she didn’t utter a word, taking her to and past levels which would have left her convulsing on the ground. They burned her, stabbed her, left her in subfreezing temperature-controlled weather, and even shot her on two occasions to get a reaction out of her. She offered nothing. During one of the nights, they fed her drugged food to keep her docile during routine maintenance on the system. The electrical system would be down for about 2 minutes at most.

During the test, Kirei broke free of containment. Fortunately, all of the DNA splices made the tranquilizer they fed her frightfully insufficient. Over the four months of containment after the last experiment, they managed to coax any emotion out of the feline; she expressed a singular emotion unbridled fury in this one night. She spent the evening slaughtering all the guards she could find on sight while also cornering and devouring every scientist she came in contact with, sparing none. She spent the next day cleaning her fur of blood and viscera from her fur and digesting the scientists alive. That collar around her neck was assumed to have prevented her from being able to ingest the scientist, but that wasn’t the case. There weren’t any official logs recording who exactly put the collar around her neck, but it hardly mattered anymore. Most if not all those responsible for her family's suffering were reduced to energy for her body and remained defecated. Other small groups of guards came to secure the location, but they could not stop her. Once freeing herself from the facility, she was free to live her life how she wanted.

Biology and Feeding Habits

Lungs and Vocal Cords

Kirei, like all Chakats, possesses two lungs, a smaller set in her upper body, and a much more extensive lung in the tauric half of her body. Her first set of lungs primarily functions for tasks such as speaking and giving her, her distinctive voice. Her second set of lungs, unlike most Chakats, possesses fully developed vocal cords, allowing her greater control over her voice and the ability to mimic sounds that she hears with a great deal of precision. That said, she very rarely imitates other voices. Her second lungs still serve as the primary air exchange system. Coupled with the higher lung compacity, she is capable of projecting her sound along with a greater distance than non-Chakats.

Dual Stomachs

Like most taurs and Chakats, she has two stomachs, and like with others of her kind, her stomachs are capable of digesting just about anything, depending on the level of acclimation to the food item. Her first stomach, located in the upper half of her body, is capable of holding two adults comfortably while capable of handling twice as many if need be. While the enzymes within her first stomach are fully capable of digesting an adult, it would take several days for a single adult to be fully processed. Unfortunately, her first stomach contains a breathable amount of oxygen at all times. However, it is a rather small amount enough to keep occupants conscious through the entire slow and painful process.

In many cases, her prey passes out from the shock of being slowly digested, should they wake up, it is generally to lack of feeling in a portion of their body. Most synthetic clothing and leather items tend to break down within her first stomach, given enough time it will break down. Due to the vast network of muscles which make up her midsection between the upper half and the tauric body, she is capable of forcing prey deeper inside of her body or keeping them contained within her first stomach. Once her food has slipped into her tauric half, she is incapable of regurgitating them back up whether she wants to or not. Her tauric stomach serves as a point of no return.

Her second stomach is much larger than her first capable of efficiently containing eight or more adults. The limit of her tauric stomach is rarely tested, though, it can stretch a great deal. The lining of her stomach is thick and resistant to punctures and cuts, allowing her to consume troublesome food items. Unlike her first stomach, her second stomach contains much stronger digestive enzymes capable of digesting various things. However, it is not limited to leather items, articles of clothing, jewelry except for precious metals such as pure silver and gold, fur, feathers, bones, electronics, and dragon scales. Capable of digesting an adult in a few hours, after 8 hours or so, her stomach typically returns to its previous shape depending on the number of occupants, size of occupants, and difficulty to process. Humans usually reduce down to a nutritious soup after two hours or so, while dragons and sizable prey items can take up to seven to eight hours to reduce down. Due to the efficiency of her stomach, there is typically little solid waste. At the same time, there is a considerable amount of liquid waste due to her favorite prey items tend to mostly water.

Feeding Habits

That said, her favorite prey items are massive feral, predatory beasts, gryphons, dragons, nagas, and lamias. While those are her choice options, they are not always available to humans and medium-sized furs, and scales tend to make up her primary diet. She avoids eating micros, which in her mind is anything three feet tall or smaller due to the fact they don't ever curb her hunger. On occasion, she will make an exception, but it’s unlikely. Though, expect to be treated as nothing more than a piece of candy.

Family

There isn’t anything Kirei values more than her family. After being stripped away from her own family, she refuses to let that happen again. As such, she extremely protective over those she cares for and those that her loved ones care for, be they, friends, or family. She loves all members of her family, though; she cares about some members more deeply.

At the very top, her Lifemate Vena has been with her for much of her life, and there is entirely no one whom she cares more about. She can hardly stand to be away from her for very long and loves every moment she is with her. Unfortunately, if you hope to gain the same affection for you as she does, Vena, you are probably wasting your time as she is unlikely to accept another Lifemate.

Her children and Denmates hold the second-highest priority in her life. However, her children have all grown up and are fully able to take care of themselves. They have only had the two, though, likely wouldn’t object to more at least Kirei wouldn’t. A den mate is like the highest someone could reach in her family at this point, but it isn’t impossible to achieve higher if a strong enough bold is built with Kirei and Vena. A den mate is permitted to live in Kirei and Vena’s den and take from the land that consists of her territory. A strong, loving bond must be held with both chakats to be accepted into such mateship.

Note for Prey

Kirei rarely ever spits up her food, not that she is unable to, but it’s unnatural to her to spit up a perfectly good snack or food item. In most cases, if you are small enough to eat and she wants to eat you, she will probably try to do so. And if she eats you, she will digest you eventually. If you disagree with being food, you can always try to give her indigestion if that makes you feel better.

If you are food, you don’t get a choice which ends you go in. Food goes in the mouth and out the rear, it is unwise to try to shove yourself in through her ass, as she won’t take kindly to it and probably wish that you digest as slowly as possible. And if you shove yourself through her butt, it won’t be a clean trip.

Most prey is small enough to swallow whole, and even those who aren’t will probably be swallowed whole but maybe with a few scratches. But if you kick and scream while in her throat excessively, you are liable to be bitten and chewed till you stop struggling. Though, it’s unlikely that she will tear you to pieces unless you really anger her.

Sex

If you are not a chakat or taur, your chances of having sex with Kirei are low. She doesn't have any interest in creatures significantly smaller than herself sexually usually; those smaller than herself are considered food. Chakats and taurs can usually get away with asking for sex from the chakat, and she'll usually oblige. This doesn't mean she has any emotional attachment to you, nor does it make you her denmate, and it certainly doesn't make you her life mate. Others shouldn't simply approach her for sex as she'll usually tell you no. Those who insist on continuing to pester her about it will usually end up inside of her stomach in short order. Under no circumstances will anyone except for her Denmates and Lifemates be permitted to mount her. If you attempt to do so without being either of those close to her, she will react violently. Do not try it.
