Five_Nights_At_AJs

One day, a big-name entrepreneur from Nexus Park visited Equestria to get ideas for a new restaurant chain. Sometime after he came back, a new restaurant appeared in downtown Nexus City, themed after the six main heroes of Equestria. The place boasted advanced animatronic representations so lifelike they would actually wander around and interact with customers as if they were the ponies themselves. Everything was going great, until mysterious disappearances started getting reported around the restaurant, and the owner was forced to switch to a new location and fire his first night security manager to quell suspicion... However, the incidents never stopped...

"Kids Vanish At Local Restaurant--Bodies Not Found

Two local children were reportedly lured into a back room during the late hours of operation at Applejack's Restaurant on the night of June 26th. While video surveillance identified the man responsible and led to his capture the following morning, the children themselves were never found and are presumed dead.

Police think that the suspect dressed as a mascot to earn the children's trust.

Five Children Now Reported Missing; Suspect Convicted

Five children are now linked to the incident at Applejack's Restaurant, where a man dressed as a pony mascot lured them into a back room.

While the suspect has been charged, the bodies were never found.

Applejack's Restaurant has been fighting an uphill battle ever since to convince families to return to the business.

'It's a tragedy.'

Local Restaurant Threatened With Shutdown Over Sanitation

Local restaurant, Applejack's, has been threatened again with shutdown by the health department over reports of foul odor coming from the much loved pony mascots.

Police were contacted when parents reportedly noticed what appeared to be blood and mucus around the eyes and mouths of the mascots. One parent alikened them to 'reanimated carcasses'.

Local Restaurant Set To Close By Year's End

After a long struggle to stay in business after the tragedy that struck there many years ago, Applejack's Restaurant has announced it will close by year's end.

Despite a year-long search for a buyer, companies seem unwilling to be associated with the company.

'These characters will live on. In the hearts of kids, these characters will live on.'--CEO"

Then came the final nail in the coffin for the new location; the incident known as "The Bite", in which one of the animatronics actually attacked and bit one of the staff, causing a severe brain injury and resulting in the loss of the employee's frontal lobe. This might have been the end, had it not been the CEO's last minute decision to move back to the previous location of the restaurant and use the older models of animatronics...

The truth that no one but the CEO knew was that the animatronics were made using an outlawed form of alchemy, meaning the bodies were actually organic with cybernetic augmentations... This was how they got to be so lifelike; they are actual living copies of the ponies they are based on!

They do have one slight problem... While they can no longer wander freely during the day ever since "The Bite", they are always free to wander the halls at night... And since they know it's after hours, they believe the only things that should be in the building are other animatronics like them... If they see anyone in the building, they might just think that person is a metal endoskeleton without its costume, and will no doubt try to stuff them into a spare suit, the animatronic implants impaling the subject and killing them instantly...

Or, since they were made from the magic of a vorish realm like the Nexus, seeing such a succulent critter like you might just make them hungry...

The AJ Stage Band, with Twilight Sparkle on guitar, Applejack herself on lead vocals, and Fluttershy on backup vocals! But that's only during the day... At night, Twilight mostly tries to enter your office through the door on your left while Fluttershy will try to enter on your right! As for Applejack... well... she's usually more active when the power goes off, but sometimes she'll come off the stage while the power's still on to join the hunt...

Pinkie Pie, a.k.a. "Cupcake Girl", is a unique animatronic in the sense that she won't kill you if she gets in your office; unfortunately, she will disable all your controls and her loud and echoing laughter will attract the others to you...

Rainbow Dash can usually be found in the out-of-order Cloudsdale Cove area, unless you don't watch it for a long time... If you leave her unattended, she'll slip out and rush the left door!

Rarity is another unique animatronic found in the party room. She is kept docile through the use of a constantly-playing music box that is remotely wound. If the music box stops, however, she will leave the party room and rush for the office...

Discord was once an animatronic used in the Kid's Cove area, but he kept getting torn apart by the children to the point where the employees were putting him back together every shift, until they just stopped using him all together, leaving him a mess of parts. He typically tries to enter the office through the right vent, climbing onto the ceiling and dropping down to attack. He can be heard through the radio interference that replaces his damaged voice box, and when he is seen on the cameras some static interference is present.

Golden AJ appears as a golden version of Applejack, and is wearing a blue or black hat instead of AJ's trademark tan one. Her bowtie is also blue or black. She appears if the poster in the east hallway 2B changes to that of Golden AJ's face. The next time you put the camera down, you'll see her slumped limp in your office, looking as if she is dead. Her eyes are black except for two small red dots in the center of each. She is accompanied by flashing hallucinations of AJ's face, along with the words "IT'S ME"... If you don't immediately put up the camera view again after seeing her, she will attack by flashing a single image of Golden AJ's face that covers your view... the last thing you see...

Five Nights at AJ's Rules

You start with 100% power every night. On every turn, two points of power are used. If one door is closed, four points of power will be used per turn. If both doors are closed, six points of power will be used. Each turn will take ten minutes of time from 12 am to 6 am. On each turn, the animatronics will get a roll of 1d11 to see where they move to. Each number represents a camera on the map, shown below:

Rolls and Special Events

1=Camera 1A (Stage): No animatronics move.

2=Camera 1B (Dining Hall): An additional roll of 1d2 (1d3 on nights 4 and 5) is made to see which animatronic moves into the dining hall. Twilight, Fluttershy, and Applejack on nights 4 and 5 can all occupy the dining hall at once. If there is an animatronic already in the dining hall, then another animatronic not present in the dining hall can move there; on nights 4 and 5, this is done through a roll of 1d2, unless two animatronics are already present. If all animatronics are present in the dining hall, no animatronics will move.

3=Camera 1C (Cloudsdale Cove): If the roll turns up a 3, no animatronics will move except for Rainbow Dash, who will become active and start to slip out from behind the curtain of Cloudsdale Cove. If a 3 is rolled three times, Dash will slip out completely, and next time a 3 is rolled she will rush the office to attack. If her attack fails (see Saving Throws), Dash will reset in Cloudsdale Cove.

4=Camera 2A (West Hallway Entrance): Only Twilight will move to the west hallway entrance. If she is already there, there is no effect.

5=Camera 2B (West Hallway Corner): Only Twilight will move to the west hallway corner. If she is already there, there is no effect. An additional roll of 1d2 is made the following turn to see if Twilight moves to the player's left door, which they must close with a saving throw (see Saving Throws).
--1=Twilight does not approach the left door.
--2=Twilight approaches the left door.
On night 3, an additional roll of 1d3 is made to see if Golden AJ's poster appears in the hallway, which will cause Golden AJ to appear in the player's office.
--1=The poster remains a picture of Applejack singing.
--2=The poster changes to a picture of Applejack ripping her own head off.
--3=Golden AJ; when she appears, the player gets one saving throw to put up the camera before she attacks (see Saving Throws).

6=Camera 3 (Supply Closet): Only Twilight moves into the supply closet. If she is already there, there is no effect.

7=Camera 4A (East Hallway Entrance): On nights 1 through 3, only Fluttershy moves to the east hallway entrance. If she is already there, there is no effect. On nights 4 and 5, an additional roll of 1d2 is made to see whether Fluttershy or Applejack moves to the east hallway entrance. If one is already there, the other moves there without a roll. If both are already there, there is no effect.

8=Camera 4B (East Hallway Corner): On nights 1 through 3, only Fluttershy moves to the east hallway corner. If she is already there, there is no effect. On nights 4 and 5, an additional roll of 1d2 is made to see whether Fluttershy or Applejack moves to the east hallway corner. If one is already there, the other moves there without a roll. If both are already there, there is no effect. An additional roll of 1d2 is made the following turn to see if Fluttershy moves to the player's right door.
--1=Fluttershy does not approach the right door.
--2=Fluttershy approaches the right door.
On nights 4 and 5, the player must make saving throws for each turn Applejack is in the east hallway corner, as her next step is to enter the office and attack (see Saving Throws).

9=Camera 5 (Backroom): Only Twilight moves into the backroom. If she is already there, there is no effect.

10=Camera 6 (Kitchen; Audio Only): On nights 1 through 3, only Fluttershy moves to the kitchen. If she is already there, there is no effect. On nights 4 and 5, an additional roll of 1d2 is made to see whether Fluttershy or Applejack moves to the kitchen. If one is already there, the other moves there without a roll. If both are already there, there is no effect.

11=Camera 7 (Restrooms): On nights 1 through 3, only Fluttershy moves to the restrooms. If she is already there, there is no effect. On nights 4 and 5, an additional roll of 1d2 is made to see whether Fluttershy or Applejack moves to the restrooms. If one is already there, the other moves there without a roll. If both are already there, there is no effect.

Saving Throws

When an animatronic is at your door, you have two chances to get a 1d2 roll of 1 to close the door in time.
--1=You close the door. This will cost two/four additional points of power each turn until you open it again.
--2=Your trembling hands/hooves can't hit the button; on the second roll, the animatronic will enter the office and attack.

When Rainbow Dash rushes the office, you have one chance to get a 1d2 roll of 1 to close the door in time.
--1=You close the door in the nick of time; you can hear Dash banging on the door. This will cost two/four additional points of power each turn until you open it again.
--2=You're not quick enough, and Dash lunges into the office and attacks.

On every turn that AJ is standing in the east hallway corner on nights 4 and 5, you must make a saving throw. You have to get a 1d2 roll of 1 to prevent her from entering the office by observing her through the camera. If you miss, you have two more tries to get it.
--1=You keep a sharp eye on AJ, preventing her from moving.
--2=You focus on the others, thinking you're safe. Two more misses and AJ will enter the office to attack. If the door is closed, she will break the window and enter.

If Golden AJ appears in your office on night 3, you have one chance to put up the camera monitor by getting a 1d2 roll of 1.
--1=You hide behind the monitor and when you look back the macabre vision is gone.
--2=You stare agape at the sight, wondering how it snuck in before it lunges for you.

If you run out of power at at least 5:30 am, you have one chance to get a 1d2 roll of 1 to hold out until 6 am.
--1=You hear the chimes of the closing bell just as you see AJ's face appear through the darkness. You've survived... for now...
--2=You see AJ's face grinning with hunger before she dives into your office and attacks. You were so close...

Progress
