Etti belongs to a very small race of beings analogous enough to faeries as to be indistinguishable, who live in a remote world more hospitable to their weight and size.

Her race originated on a world dominated entirely by massive interwoven trees as thick as buildings and large unintelligent beasts that quietly roam on their own ends. Building homes underground and inside of trees where the roots prevent cave-ins and weather-related issues is a norm, besides keeping off unfriendly creatures.

Given how rarely any of her kind -leave- their home habitat, the likelihood of other characters meeting Etti otherwise is somewhat small depending. Larger beings of course, could entirely miss their settlements given they exist exclusively beneath the thick layer of fog that sits permanently below waist level on any adult human. Wouldn't want to be mistaken for a hostile creature!
